Grenade Fears Water
Author's Note: On Shelves, Volume Summary, Thank You Letter, and New Year's Greetings All in One
I think this is the first time I've written a shelving testimonial.
When I wrote my first book, I asked for monthly tickets and recommendation tickets. When I wrote my second book, I only asked for recommendation tickets during the new book period. With this book, I didn't ask for anything at all... The reason is simple: it's not that I'm being Buddhist, but that I know my own limitations. I can never update explosively, and I don't have any manuscripts saved, so I have to take a Buddhist approach to these things.
So, what is there to say about being shelved? Just like the sentence at the beginning of writing the book, I'm still writing slowly, and I hope everyone will still enjoy reading it slowly.
Of course, I have to briefly report the results. Two chapters of nine thousand words were updated after being shelved. I just glanced at the first chapter, which had eight thousand one words, and the second chapter, which had four thousand one words. That's probably it.
This result is basically as expected. Anyway, it's much better than the previous book. There should be a lot of old readers contributing to this, otherwise, I wouldn't have reached this subscription ratio (I have 50,000 favorites), so I have to thank everyone for their kindness... Xiao Jiu is on strike, so I'll bow to everyone.
Then, let me talk about the splash screen tomorrow. It's similar to the splash screen that Zhai Zhu had today. It's probably based on monthly tickets, rewards, and book lists. It's all randomly filled in. Among them, the rewards definitely exceed the limit... I estimate that I definitely won't have enough monthly tickets. I can only ask for help with the book list here. I'd be grateful if any大佬 with book lists could add it.
In short, everyone should take a Buddhist approach to these things. Let's take it slow and steady.
Then, a summary of this volume. This is something I learned from the大佬s to be trendy, so I'm doing it now, but I might not do it in the future.
The first volume is almost 300,000 words. Originally, it was supposed to be finished before being shelved, and the second volume would start right away, but obviously, I'm not quite there yet, and the ending was delayed until it was shelved.
In these almost 300,000 words, a total of seventy-odd characters have directly appeared, the map has been changed twice, and two battles have been fought... It's nothing more than talking about how our Official Zhao completed his so-called 'establishment' in this era, from the physiological to the psychological, from the political to the military.
In fact, many大佬s in the book review section have said it better than me, so I won't embarrass myself. So, here I especially want to mention a few details:
The incident where Han Shizhong's subordinates caused trouble and killed the Imperial Censor is a historical fact. He suffered a great deal for it and was once excluded from the core circle until the Miao-Liu Mutiny turned things around;
The fact that Zhao Jiu had Wang De and Fu Qing hold down Liu Guangshi's hands before killing him is a reference to Yue Fei in history. In history, Yue Fei caused a disturbance in order to enforce military discipline and prevent his uncle from harassing the people. In the end, he simply killed his uncle to uphold military law. When dealing with this person who was probably the closest to him in the army, he ordered Wang Gui and Zhang Xian, who were probably the second and third closest people in the army, to hold down his uncle's hands, and then he personally killed him;
The Battle of Suotoutan was a mistake. I took it from the Battle of Suotou Lake by Zhang Rong in history. This has already been said... According to book friends' research, Suotou Lake is relatively close to the sea, so it may cause tidal phenomena due to seawater backflow, while Liangshanpo is inland, so forcibly creating a tide is too much... I apologize to everyone;
The Battle of Baza by Han Shizhong has already been directly given in the book. It is the reverse use of the battle by Li Guangbi in history;
Zhao Jiu's killing of deserters with a bow is an evolution of Zhao Gou's actions in history... In history, when Zhao Gou tried to escape by sea, the Banzhi soldiers were unwilling to follow because they had settled down in the southeast. Zhao Gou superficially nodded in agreement, but immediately put on armor and killed people with a bow;
The final orange lamp is also a historical reference to Zhao Gou. However, at that time, Zhao Gou was being searched and hunted, and he was entertaining himself in desperation, while the protagonist Zhao Jiu at this time was feeling sentimental about the sacrifice and his various meanings of confidence were gradually rising. Like the above-mentioned killing of people with a bow, it is a reversed梗.
I hereby explain.
Then, to the大佬s who gave rewards after the shelving, thank you for your support. Unfortunately, I really can't update more, so I can only list a few here to show my gratitude:

In short, bowing to everyone and wishing you a happy new year, thank you for your support.
Finally, I wish all book friends a late happy new year. I wish everyone health and success in everything in 2020, and that you can all make a fortune! In the coming year, I will slowly write this book, hoping not to live up to everyone's kindness.
Sincerely, bowing... Good night.
