Chapter 69 The Strongest Human

Chapter 1 Li Chenzhou

Li Chenzhou was now on a mountaintop because the mine's exit was on the other side of the mountain range.

Standing on the summit, Li Chenzhou could easily overlook the entire mine.

It was an ordinary mine, the kind where they flattened the center of a mountain, creating a large open space, then built a bunch of makeshift houses around it, moved in a lot of machines, and then dug a huge pit in the middle, constantly expanding it outwards.

Now, the mine before Li Chenzhou's eyes was packed full of countless creatures, a mine roughly two hundred meters long and seventy or eighty meters wide, filled with various creatures that would terrify anyone with trypophobia.

Humans, zombies, animals, birds, insects, and so on. Countless lives were crammed into this not-so-small mine, giving one a creepy feeling.

Li Chenzhou swore that, including his ten years from his previous life, he had never seen such a spectacle. Zombies and mutated beasts, and humans, could never coexist peacefully, yet now, all these lives were gathered here.

All the creatures were surrounding a mine pit, and in the very center area, they were all humans. Li Chenzhou saw with his own eyes a woman at the back of the human circle tearing and pulling at the people in front of her, desperately squeezing forward, quickly reaching the edge of the pit.

However, because the mine pit was already full, no matter how much she pulled, she couldn't move herself any further.

Seeing this, Li Chenzhou shook his head and smiled wryly. It was a proven fact that if humans truly had no fear and only brute force, then neither zombies nor mutated beasts would be their match!

However, Li Chenzhou could now feel that the sensation calling to him hadn't intensified with proximity. He could still maintain his sanity. Even if he wanted to turn back now, he could still do so, unlike those humans below, who were so driven by the summons that they dared to reach out and pull at zombies!

So, even after seeing the spectacle below, Li Chenzhou didn't leave immediately, but took a deep breath, and then stepped down.

He had already noticed that the creatures below, whether zombies, humans, mutated beasts, insects, or anything else, had no intention of harming any other creatures. They were just desperately trying to squeeze into the mine pit—which was the only reason there were still humans alive here!

"Poof!"

Arriving at the mine pit, Li Chenzhou raised his war blade and cleaved open the skull of a zombie at the very back, but his action didn't attract the attention of the other creatures in front. They continued to squeeze forward, without a single one looking back.

"What an opportunity!"

Seeing this situation, Li Chenzhou's eyes lit up. He received killing points for killing any living thing, so this place was a treasure trove for him.

So, Li Chenzhou cast aside his concerns and began to desperately slaughter the lives in front of him. Whether they were zombies or mutated beasts, he dispatched them all with a single strike—as for insects?

Do you think insects of that size, many of which can fly, would be on the periphery?

Slaughtering his way forward, Li Chenzhou quickly sensed that something was wrong, because he had actually carved out a path to the center of the mine!

Was that normal? Of course not. The zombies or mutated beasts on both sides of the path should have buried it, but they didn't. Although they were all desperately squeezing forward, not one of them squeezed into the path that Li Chenzhou had carved out, as if... there was an invisible barrier on both sides of the path.

"You want me to go in?"

Looking back at the path behind him, and the zombies and mutated beasts crowded on both sides, Li Chenzhou took a deep breath, and then continued to kill his way forward.

He had originally planned to clear the area circle by circle on the outside, killing all the lives in this mine pit. Li Chenzhou thought that although the killing points he obtained would certainly still not be enough to buy a space chariot, he could at least turn Duan Xue and Gray Bear into Awakened ones and fully equip them.

But just as he started to slaughter, Li Chenzhou suddenly had a feeling that if he really wasted time here killing and earning killing points, it would be a case of penny-wise, pound-foolish, losing the watermelon to pick up sesame seeds.

Li Chenzhou knew that this was the feeling given to him by that summons, but he still didn't refuse. He simply killed his way in, because he really wanted to know whether this mysterious being that was sending out the summons was related to the arrival of the apocalypse!

Soon, Li Chenzhou had killed his way to the mine pit. He reached out and grabbed a human, pulling him in front of himself. That person didn't question or curse, but just struggled desperately, wanting to break free from Li Chenzhou's restraints and throw himself into the mine pit.

Li Chenzhou carefully looked at that person's eyes. His eyes hadn't changed color, they were still normal human eyeballs, but they revealed an incomprehensible fanaticism.

Shaking his head, Li Chenzhou released that person, and then swayed his body from side to side, forcefully squeezing to the edge of the mine pit.

The entrance to the mine pit, a full thirty meters in circumference, was now filled with humans and animals, with countless flies and mosquitoes hovering above, and even the gaps between the humans were filled with all kinds of insects, looking... extremely disgusting and bizarre.

Li Chenzhou looked at the mine pit and also felt a headache, because before it was flat ground, and when he killed zombies or mutated beasts, they would fall directly, and he could just step on the corpses to get over.

But now... after killing them, Li Chenzhou had to throw the corpses out in order to clear a path to the depths of the mine pit.

Moreover, most of those in the mine pit were humans. Although Li Chenzhou had killed people before, to directly kill these members of the same species who had no conflict with him, Li Chenzhou still hesitated for a moment.

As if sensing Li Chenzhou's hesitation, the humans in the mine pit in front of him, who had been desperately squeezing inwards, suddenly stood up and retreated, and even the insects all took flight or crawled up.

The mine pit in front of Li Chenzhou seemed to be playing in reverse, the creatures inside were rapidly pouring out, squeezing towards the edge of the mine pit, and they... all avoided Li Chenzhou's direction.

Looking at the spectacle before him, Li Chenzhou frowned. Being able to summon life, that was understandable, because the Zombie King could also do it. Although this summons could summon all life, it was still acceptable.

But to control different lives, that was another matter altogether, and now, the being in the underground mine pit had obviously done that, especially... among those he controlled, there were still many humans...

Soon, the mine pit in front of Li Chenzhou was completely cleared, revealing its original appearance, and in the mine pit, there were also eight scattered mine tunnels, extending infinitely underground, like eight gates of hell leading to death.

Li Chenzhou looked at the second mine tunnel on his right, because his senses told him that he should enter there, enter the underground...
