Chapter 369 They Are Not From My Base

Chapter 181 Going to Henry Town Directly?

"Go directly to Henry Town?"

Mike and Tony were both stunned. They looked at the people waiting on the trucks, ready to enter the underground base, and then exchanged glances.

"That's right, we plan to relocate!"

Mike said to Tony, "General James decided long ago to leave the city. Although the underground is temporarily safe, it's not a long-term solution. However, he wants to contact other people to leave together, so he should be discussing it with people from other bases now!"

"Okay! Then we'll go directly to Henry Town!"

After listening to Mike, Tony nodded immediately.

Mike had actually mentioned this before, but not in detail. Now that he heard James had decided to relocate, they could naturally go directly there without entering the underground base.

"Okay! Let's go!"

Li Chenzhou waved his hand, and Mike immediately made a gesture to the camera, telling the people below that they wouldn't enter the base and would immediately scout the way to Henry Town. Then, he returned to the truck.

The three vehicles started again, this time heading directly for Henry Town. Along the way, the tide of corpses still didn't appear, and the whole city was silent.

What Li Chenzhou didn't know was that the moment they were spotted, the scene was broadcast to the house, where James and a dozen people were standing, watching the screen.

"That's the Oriental you mentioned?"

After Li Chenzhou and the others left, an old man looked at James and asked.

"That's him!"

James nodded.

The people around were all managers from other bases. That's right, the people in charge of the bases here weren't called leaders, but managers. They were mostly high-ranking officials from before the apocalypse, or nobles. That was the style of this country!

As a Navy General, James naturally had a certain appeal. Moreover, the people hiding in other parts of the sewers knew that they would eventually die if things continued this way. So, when James sent people to contact them, saying they were discussing moving out of the city, they all rushed over immediately.

To convince these people, James had described Li Chenzhou's abilities in detail. However, being a soldier, he didn't exaggerate.

However, Li Chenzhou's abilities were already powerful. Even without exaggeration, those people found it unbelievable. Therefore, even though they could see the corpses above, some people didn't fully believe it.

Therefore, their discussion had reached a stalemate.

Being able to safely relocate outside the city was something everyone wanted. To become a base manager, these people all had certain abilities and could see that staying underground was a dead end.

But relocation required safety! If safety couldn't be guaranteed, they'd rather stay in the sewers. Even if they might eventually die, living a few more days was always good!

So, the key to their discussion wasn't whether to relocate, but whether the two Orientals could really safely move them outside the city.

Most of the people in James' base had seen the recording of Li Chenzhou's battle, so they strongly agreed with James' suggestion to leave.

The recording of that battle had also been shown to the managers of other bases. After watching it, only a small number expressed shock, while most questioned it.

They suspected that James had tampered with the recording. After all, it was a recording from ground surveillance, and the image wasn't very clear. Moreover, it was very easy to Photoshop!

So, they split into two factions. One faction, led by James, agreed to leave. Anyway, there was no way out if they stayed, so they might as well take a chance!

The other faction was led by the old man named Harrington, the governor of the city and currently the manager of the largest underground base!

They thought leaving the city was a good idea, but they had to first determine that the two Orientals had the ability to safely take them out of the city! Otherwise, they wouldn't risk their already small number of survivors!

Although surviving underground was a dead end, they could at least hold on for a few months. Maybe things would turn around in those few months!

Because they suspected there was something wrong with the recording, and because Li Chenzhou hadn't promised to guarantee their safety, only saying he would do his best, James couldn't convince them! Until the person managing the surveillance said they had discovered something.

Learning that it might be Li Chenzhou returning, James immediately had them switch the screen and explain the situation to all the managers, pulling them over to watch – weren't they saying it was fake? Then watching the surveillance directly couldn't be fake, right?

When he saw the SUV with two trucks stopping above the base, James actually hoped the tide of corpses would appear again.

Because everyone was watching, if the tide of corpses really appeared, the scene of Li Chenzhou killing everyone would naturally reappear, and those people wouldn't question Li Chenzhou's strength anymore. The relocation could be decided directly.

Unfortunately, James didn't see the horde of corpses, but he saw Tony, who used to be on his warship.

Finally, James saw Mike's gesture and knew they were leaving, heading to Henry Town first!

At this time, hearing Governor Harrington's question, James answered with a smile. Although the tide of corpses didn't appear, James' face was already confident!

Seeing Tony, he already had a reason to persuade Harrington, and the reason was enough to impress everyone here!

"Governor, the gesture they just made was telling us that there are a total of more than a hundred survivors in those three vehicles. They originally planned to meet us first, but because we have decided to leave the city, they are going directly to Henry Town!"

James looked at Harrington.

"Why did people from your base come back from that direction?"

Harrington frowned at James. He thought the people in the trucks were all from this base.

"No! Mr. Harrington, many of those people may be mine, but they didn't come from this base!"

James shook his head, "See the guy standing with Mike? His name is Tony. He's the navigator of the *Forster*. When the apocalypse happened, he was on the *Forster*!"

"You're saying they came back from the port? That's impossible!"

Before James could finish speaking, a fat man behind Harrington shouted.
