Chapter 1298: Chapter 1297: You’re a Bad Girl

After dinner, they dispersed. When Ye Qiu was about to send Liu Lingxiu and Li Qianqian back to the girls’ dormitory, his phone rang.

It was a call from Ling Fei.

“Ling Fei, what’s up?”

“There are some issues with Tiantian, do you want to come over?”

Upon hearing it was Xia Tiantian, Ye Qiu recalled this little girl, especially the time on the Ferris wheel, Ye Qiu always felt Xia Tiantian was not like an ordinary little girl.

“I’ll come over, wait for me at the door.”

After hanging up the phone, Ye Qiu looked at Li Qianqian and Liu Lingxiu and said, “You guys go back first, I need to tutor a student.”

“Tutoring? Is it for a beauty?” Li Qianqian asked suspiciously.

“Indeed a beauty, but a little beauty.”

Ye Qiu smiled, then headed to his car, got in, and drove away from Jin University Campus. Not far from the teachers’ college, Ye Qiu parked the car. When Ling Fei arrived, she got into the car and said, “Ye Qiu, I seem to have not seen you for a while.”

When she came to find her classmates, she indeed hadn’t met Ye Qiu and didn’t know where he had been.

“I just returned from Malaysia. What’s up with Tiantian?”

“Miss Xia said Tiantian’s recent scores seemed to have improved drastically, scoring above eighty in every subject. However, I find it somewhat unlikely.”

Normally thinking, Ling Fei felt it was impossible, given Xia Tiantian’s poor foundation. Getting a passing grade was already good, scoring above eighty seemed problematic, so she wanted to check it out with Ye Qiu.

“We’ll know in a moment.”

Ye Qiu drove into the community where Xia Tiantian lived, parked the car, and with Ling Fei went upstairs. When they rang the doorbell, the nanny opened the door and, recognizing them as the tutoring teachers, quickly let them in.

“Mr. Ye, Ms. Ling, have you had dinner?”

“Auntie, we’ve eaten.”

Ling Fei said.

As they went inside, the nanny said, “Tiantian is in her room reading.”

Has Xia Tiantian really become so diligent?

Ye Qiu really found it hard to believe.

When Ye Qiu pushed open the door and entered Xia Tiantian’s room, she wasn’t reading but playing games. The moment Ye Qiu logged in, he saw Xia Tiantian online, which confirmed she was gaming, not reading.

To see Ling Fei and Ye Qiu, Xia Tiantian looked a bit embarrassed.

After closing the phone, Ling Fei closed the door and gently asked, “Tiantian, I heard your recent exam scores are quite good!”

“My mom must have told you that I scored over eighty. Mr. Ye, you remember you promised to take me to East Sea once my exams were up to par. When will you take me there?”

“First bring out your test papers.”

When Ye Qiu asked Xia Tiantian to take out the test papers from her backpack, starting with the recent Chinese exam followed by Math, English, and Physics, both Ye Qiu and Ling Fei noticed the scores were indeed above eighty.

However, Ye Qiu found it strange, could it be Xia Tiantian used to deliberately score low?

There’s a possibility, but Ye Qiu felt it was very slim.

“Tiantian, did you really do these by yourself!”

“Of course.”

Xia Tiantian said.

“Ling Fei, give her a problem to see how she does.”

To see if she really did it herself, by slightly altering numbers from the test questions. When she was told to do it, Xia Tiantian appeared somewhat awkward.

“Hurry up and do it!”

Ye Qiu said.

“Mr. Ye, let me think first.”

Xia Tiantian thought for five minutes and still couldn’t solve it, then said to Ye Qiu and Ling Fei, “I have a stomachache, I need to use the bathroom.”

Then Ling Fei followed her to the bathroom, taking the notebook where Ling Fei had just written the question.

It became apparent that Xia Tiantian indeed had a problem.

The problem was just a modified version of the test questions, yet Xia Tiantian couldn’t do it, how’s that possible? She apparently got it right on the test paper!

Could these test scores be fake?

The scores weren’t fake, but Ye Qiu knew, Tiantian had definitely cheated, copied her classmates’ test papers.

If that’s the case, this Xia Tiantian is tough to teach.

Previously being poor in studies and playful was teachable, but lying and liking to cheat in exams implied a moral issue, making it even more trouble.

Ye Qiu looked at Ling Fei while Ling Fei looked at Ye Qiu back; it was the first time she encountered such a situation.

Before, when she tutored, none of her students had been like that.

“What do you think we should do?”

Ling Fei asked.

“Let’s first get to the bottom of it.”

Xia Tiantian returned from the bathroom after about ten minutes, with answers already written on the notebook.

When Ye Qiu and Ling Fei reviewed the answers, they knew they were correct.

Could Xia Tiantian have done this herself while in the bathroom?

“Bring me your phone.”

“I won’t, I won’t give it to you!”

Xia Tiantian pouted.

Ye Qiu took it straight away, turned on the phone, and found there were indeed messages, sent to her classmates, exactly the questions on the notebook.

It was clear that Xia Tiantian couldn’t do it herself and asked her classmates for help, then copied the answers.

With her back to Ye Qiu and Ling Fei, Xia Tiantian looked down in silence.

“Tiantian, how could you deceive the teachers? Did you copy your classmates for those scores above eighty?”

“I didn’t, I did them myself.”

Xia Tiantian said.

“Alright, the teacher will trust you one more time. Explain to me the approach for this multiple-choice question. If it’s correct, I’ll believe you. But if you copied and cheated, confess to the teacher now.” Ling Fei looked at her and said.

Xia Tian took a look and said, “I guessed this one right.”

“Did you guess all the others right too?”

As soon as Ling Fei finished asking, Ye Qiu grabbed Xia Tiantian, giving her a spank on the bottom and said, “Who taught you to lie? Not only are your grades poor, but now you’ve learned to cheat and copy, and then lie to us and your mom, tell me, are you not a bad girl now?”

“I’m not!”

Xia Tiantian still insisted.

“Still stubborn?”

Ye Qiu smacked her bottom again.

Xia Tiantian still wouldn’t admit to cheating, but it was quite apparent. Ye Qiu knew if this continued, Xia Tiantian’s character could really deviate, especially when she liked playing games, making her different from ordinary girls.

Ling Fei didn’t know how to continue teaching Xia Tiantian and could only look at Ye Qiu.
