600: 589 600: 589 Song Yun’s group, with Meng Ku charging the fastest, outpaced the others by three strides and reached the enemy in no time.
The opposition thought since he was so eager, they might as well send him off to meet Mr.
Marx and naturally swung their blades and clubs towards Meng Ku.
Meng Ku’s figure suddenly vanished into thin air.
The people around were stunned, thinking to themselves that this wasn’t some paranormal novel—could he actually teleport?
However, Meng Ku hadn’t disappeared; instead, in that split second, his body bent down in a movement too complex for an ordinary person to accomplish.
With that bend, he dodged all the incoming attacks, and his hand, remaining unsatisfied, thrust forward while bending, driving a triangular bayonet into one man’s abdomen.
Then, with a swift turn, he struck another in the stomach before the others could react.
Immediately, two streams of blood sprayed out.
With a twist of his arm, Meng Ku’s triangular bayonet pirouetted in his hand.
He took a small step backward, not even glancing back, and jabbed the bayonet behind him.
Thud.
It was like a basketball being deflated with blood gushing out, as if the sound of air escaping accompanied it.
These few moves failed to intimidate the attackers!
After Meng Ku’s initial three strikes, their forms were exposed, so the enemies didn’t bother checking on their fallen comrades and instead wielded their weapons with greater fervor, hoping to take down Meng Ku.
But then
Thud, thud, thud.
Three more sounds rang out.
The three men who were just a beat slower than Meng Ku had also arrived.
Three sounds, three men down—in addition to the three Meng Ku had already taken out.
Now, only three men opposed Meng Ku’s group of four, and the bald muscular man was standing quite far away.
“You rookies,” Meng Ku sneered with a smile, “you probably don’t even know who you’re ambushing, do you?”
“Come back!!” The bald strongman shouted, wanting his remaining three men to retreat, but they were not only outmatched in fighting; they even fell short in running.
So, before they’d gone far, they were stabbed, falling to the ground bleeding out.
“Who the hell are you guys!!” The bald muscular man was utterly stunned.
This level of martial skill, he had only seen among the masters of the Tiger List.
Could it be that these men were all Tiger List experts?
“Who we are isn’t important, what’s important is who you are?” Meng Ku placed the triangular bayonet behind him and advanced toward the bald strongman.
“Friends, let’s call it even for today,” the bald strongman said, “whatever you want, I’ll comply.
But if these brothers of mine don’t get to a hospital soon, they’re done for.
You don’t want a murder case here, right?
How about I take my brothers to the hospital and then tell you everything I know.
How’s that?”
“Oh?
You’re a clever one, aren’t you!” Meng Ku laughed.
“You don’t get far in the underworld if you’re dumb!”
“Meng Ku, take these men to the hospital,” Song Yun said softly from the lower window, “tonight, you ask about the situation, and I’ll check with you tomorrow.”
“Got it!” Meng Ku nodded in acknowledgment.
“Song Yun, your killing intent is getting stronger,” Li Shishi said frowning slightly, with a touch of concern.
“Can’t help it,” Song Yun replied helplessly with a shrug, “too many people want me dead, so now I try to keep from getting involved as much as possible.”
“So you’re bringing along Meng Ku and the others?”
“Yeah, if there’s something they can handle, I let them handle it.
Better I rack up some good karma so I don’t end up having a kid without a handle,” Song Yun joked.
“Do you like boys?” Li Shishi asked.
“I do,” Song Yun nodded earnestly, “while I may favor boys, I do not belittle girls!
If it’s my kid, then they’re my treasure.”
“Why favor boys?”
“Probably because of my personality,” Song Yun laughed, “I’d like to have a son, so I can teach him how to use swords and guns, so we can drink and chat together and even go out and pick up girls together—think about it, life would be pretty awesome.”
“You and your son, picking up girls together?” Despite Li Shishi’s composure, she couldn’t help but give Song Yun an odd look upon hearing this.
“Yeah, haha, don’t you think it would be fun?” Song Yun grinned, “Picking up girls is an art, and I want to pass that skill on to my son!!
That’s how the Song Family will continue to flourish!!”
“Alright, it’s an art,” Li Shishi smiled helplessly.
“Shishi, you don’t have to worry,” Song Yun said after a moment of silence.
“Worry about what?” Li Shishi inquired.
“You don’t have to worry about not being able to have sons!” Song Yun said sincerely, “My Second Grandpa once told me your butt is big enough, is just right for having boys!”
“Are you courting death?” Finally, Li Shishi showed a hint of annoyed expression, no longer like a placid pool of water; her phoenix eyes fixed on Song Yun as if she wouldn’t mind teaching Song Yun a lesson if he went any further.
“Just joking!
You’re great in every way, just lack a sense of humor,” Song Yun shook his head helplessly, “If only you had a bit more, you’d be perfect.”
“Now is not the time,” Li Shishi said softly.
“Then when is the time?
After everything is settled?” Song Yun asked.
“Maybe,” Li Shishi said, smiling with a thoughtful look in her eyes.
“What are you thinking about?” Song Yun curiously asked.
“Thinking about how if I ever give you a son, and you dare to take him girl-chasing, I’ll break both your legs and his,” Li Shishi laughed.
“That…
was just a joke,” Song Yun felt a sudden chill blow over him, unexplainedly.
After returning to the villa, Li Yueyue and the others had already returned early and were playing games in the living room, casually waiting for Song Yun and Li Shishi.
“Sister, you went on a date tonight, huh?” Li Yueyue teased with a smirk.
“Yeah, we went on a date, and we even found a secluded spot to talk about life too,” before Li Shishi could speak, Song Yun bragged.
“Oh?
Song Yun, taking my sister to talk about life, you should at least have chosen Han Ting or Ru Jia, right?
How could you do it in the wild?
Sister, if you’re going again, you should opt for a five-star hotel; that would be really romantic,” Li Yueyue teased with a smirk.
“Are you looking for trouble, with all the nonsense you spout all day?
I’m tired, going to sleep,” Li Shishi said as she turned and went upstairs.
“Song Yun, seriously though, what did you guys do tonight?” Li Yueyue asked curiously.
“We didn’t do much, just attended a high-class social gathering.
Someone as unsophisticated as you wouldn’t understand,” Song Yun replied with a haughty smile.
“Tsk, who’s unsophisticated?
You’re the unsophisticated one, vulgar and banal and flattering!!” Li Yueyue snorted disdainfully.
“Haha, I take that as a compliment, Yueyue.
But I think you have one small and two big,” Song Yun chuckled on his way upstairs.
“What does that mean?”
“Small chest, big face, big temper,” Song Yun laughed, quickly disappearing from sight as he went upstairs.
“You’re the one with a small chest, a big face, and a big temper!
Humph!!” Li Yueyue shouted, but Song Yun had already vanished from her view.
