Chapter 433 - 433 422 Don't Bother Me Anymore

433: Chapter 422 Don’t Bother Me Anymore 433: Chapter 422 Don’t Bother Me Anymore “Sure, I don’t have anything else to do at noon, so I might as well join you for a makeshift meal here and take a look at how the progress is going, too,” Song Yun said while sitting in the chair.

“It’s not like that at all.

Li Shishi just said she wanted to have lunch with me,” the young man said with a glance at Song Yun, thinking that with Song Yun’s appearance, he could very well be a nouveau riche who had jumped out of nowhere, now chasing after the goddess in his heart.

Under the pressure from the other party, Li Shishi had no choice but to speak in an evasive but inherently ironic manner; however, inwardly she found this man very annoying.

Upon realizing this, the young man blurted out this comment unintentionally, and after he spoke he inwardly commended himself for his quick wit.

Since Li Shishi found him so annoying, he thought that he was doing her a favor by shooing away a fly, maybe she would then happily go to lunch with him.

“You’re going to have lunch with him?” Song Yun asked Li Shishi with a smirk.

“Who said that, I didn’t know about that,” Li Shishi said angrily.

“Don’t jump to conclusions on your own, alright?

I clearly rejected you just now.”

The young man was taken aback upon hearing this; he had thought that perhaps Li Shishi was just being polite, but no matter, in order to win over his goddess, sacrificing a bit of his own dignity was nothing.

He walked up to Song Yun and said, “Brother, I’m telling you, you’re nothing special, and this beauty here is way out of your league.

You might as well quit early.”

Song Yun could only chuckle at this remark, wondering if the young man had something wrong with his brain, for always being so contrary to him.

“Sorry, I’m not in the habit of acknowledging everyone as my brother.”

Li Shishi, feeling irritated, waved her hand dismissively and said, “Li Man, just go, will you?

You’re no help here anyway, why are you even staying?” she spoke in an annoyed tone.

“And move that car you parked at the entrance.

Don’t you know vehicles aren’t allowed to just come onto the construction site?”

“I’m not leaving.

If I did, that would be against my principles,” the young man grumbled.

“Don’t be obstinate now.

Do you have any idea who Li Shishi is to dare pursue her?”

“I really have no clue, why don’t you enlighten me?” Song Yun said with a scoff, and Li Shishi, seeing the situation as hopeless, could only shake her head.

It looked like Song Yun really had nothing better to do, play-acting the fool.

“She’s Li Shishi,” Li Man said earnestly.

“She is the goddess in my heart, as well as an elite in the business world.

She’s not someone that a nouveau riche like you can pursue.

We are the elite of society; you simply don’t fit into our circle.

I advise you to let go sooner than later.”

“Ah, the social elite.

Nowadays, anyone with a bit of significance claims to be elite, but they’re really just beasts dressed up in an elite’s clothing,” Song Yun said with disdain.

“I’d say you’re not much different from those so-called elites.”

“What are you talking about?

Have you no manners at all?

Do you even know what respect is?” Li Man shouted.

“How could a coarse person like you ever manage to woo Shishi?”

“Treat me with respect, and I’ll pay back in spades, but if anyone tries to step on me, I’ll step back twice as hard,” Song Yun said lightly.

“I don’t know if I am ‘coarse,’ but one thing I do know, Li Shishi is not someone you can chase.”

“Hmph, you’re just talking nonsense.

You’ll realize what regret means when Li Shishi rejects you,” Li Man said furiously.

“Oh, then let’s wait until she rejects me,” Song Yun said with a chuckle.

“Shishi, will you reject me?”

“Get lost, I’m working here,” Li Shishi said without even looking up, laughing and swearing.

“If you’re bored, go play with Yu Xue and the others.

Don’t disturb my work here.”

“You heard her, she didn’t ask you to leave, so stop being so shameless,” Li Man added from the side.

“You too, get out.”

Hearing this, Song Yun burst out laughing, while the expression on Li Man’s face nearly turned the color of liver.

He decided he’d settle in for the long haul like Song Yun—after all, the company was his dad’s, and no one dared to put him out if he didn’t show up.

“I’m talking to you, can you just leave?” Li Shishi said after putting down the blueprint and looking at Li Man.

“Why don’t you tell him to leave?

He hasn’t left either,” Li Man complained, pointing at Song Yun.

“You’re just in the way sitting there, blocking my view,” Li Shishi retorted angrily.

“Can’t you have a little dignity as a man, Li Man?

Instead of working properly, you spend your days wrapped up in heaven knows what.

Don’t think just because you were my classmate for a year that I’ll look at you any differently.”

“Every day, all I think about is you,” Li Man said earnestly.

“Li Shishi, whether I’m working, eating, driving, even in my dreams, it’s always you.

I never expected you to see me differently, but I just like you.”

Song Yun watched Li Man and simply chuckled without saying a word; the man could spout such cheesy lines to someone who wasn’t even his girlfriend—it was clear he’d had plenty of practice.

“You’re just being ridiculous,” Li Shishi, seeing Song Yun grinning foolishly, became instantly enraged.

She’d come to the construction site for his sake, and here he was laughing in the face of this situation.

“What’s so funny?

Do you find this amusing?”

Song Yun covered his mouth and said, “No, no, I just think his skin must be incredibly thick to be able to say those things.

He probably hits on girls at nightclubs all the time.”

“What nonsense are you spouting?

I am a very upright person,” Li Man retorted, glaring at Song Yun.

“Not like some, who seem slick on the surface and God knows how they sweet-talk girls behind their backs.”

“Indeed, but I only make my woman happy.

Is there something wrong with that?” Song Yun responded.

“Li Shishi isn’t your girlfriend, is she?

If you can say such things, it really says something about just how thick-skinned you are.”

“You, you, you…” Li Man, pointing at Song Yun, was so furious he couldn’t unleash his anger.

In resignation, he turned to Li Shishi, “You heard what he said, right?

He’s already got a woman and yet he’s chasing after you, his intentions are utterly despicable.”

“I’ve never met someone dumber than you,” Song Yun laughed.

“Li Shishi is my woman, what do you have to say to that now?”

“That’s impossible; she would never be with you.

If she really is your woman, I will eat this chair,” Li Man roared at Song Yun.

“Li Shishi, expose this bastard’s lies; tell him you’re not his woman.”

Li Shishi was so annoyed her head was about to explode; all she wanted was for Li Man to disappear.

Sitting down, she said, “Yes, that’s right, I am Song Yun’s woman.

So, Li Man, could you please stop bothering me from now on?”
