Chapter 1384: Chapter 1384: I Am Willing to Cherish and Love You

Sitting in the car, Clyde Summers shoved a bag of fresh blueberries into her lap, "They’re all washed, have a bite to fill your stomach first."

Atra Blanc had never seen such fruit before. She picked one up, curiously squeezed it, then popped it into her mouth.

"Hmm... What kind of fruit is this?" Atra asked, "It’s tart but quite tasty."

Fruits available on the market now were relatively limited, mostly apples, bananas, pears, and tangerines. Even pineapples were considered rare.

Clyde started the car, grabbed a few from her lap with one hand, and tossed them into his mouth, "I think they’re called blueberries. If you like them, I’ll bring you more next time. I still have a big basket at home, no one’s eating them."

Atra said, "Even if you bring them to me, I can’t finish them, and it’d be a waste if they go bad."

"No worries, these can be made into jam."

"But I don’t know how to make jam."

"I do." Clyde smiled, glancing at her, "I’ll show you how next time."

Atra thought for a moment, then smiled gently, "Sure, but I can’t take advantage of you. Next time, I’ll give you something tasty too."

As Clyde drove, a smirk played at his lips, thinking, how could this be taking advantage? I’m willing to spoil and care for you.

But at her last sentence, he felt a teasing itch in his heart.

— You bring me something to eat, I bring you something to eat, and just like that, aren’t we already in a relationship?

"Alright, it’s a deal!" Clyde nodded emphatically, slammed the gas pedal to the floor, and sped down the road!

Atra was shocked, "Oh my, slow down! You’re going too fast!"

"No problem! I won’t hit anyone!" Clyde laughed heartily.

"Even if you don’t hit anyone, scaring people isn’t good either!"

Atra watched in alarm as the car flew forward, the blaring horn like a death knell, making her scalp tingle!

A bicycle on the roadside was startled, its handlebars twisted, and it toppled over!

"Ah! That person fell over!" Atra quickly turned to look back, worried the person might be hurt, but then she recognized the dusty figure as Frank Griffiths, the doctor.

Clyde’s voice was still so arrogantly wild. He chuckled, "Falling was his bad luck! After all, I didn’t hit him!"

The car was going too fast, and the rushing wind blew in, messing up her hair; she could no longer see Frank’s embarrassed figure.

Atra turned back, looking at Clyde beside her...

His profile was young and handsome, carrying hints of arrogance and unruliness, with a bit of childishness.

She quietly picked up another blueberry and let it roll in her mouth.

Her current mood was like the taste in her mouth, filled with unfamiliar freshness and a sweet tang...

...

Clyde took Atra to the river embankment of Clearwater City for a pleasant breeze before bringing her home.

After returning to the Summers Residence, Old Master Summers was somewhat displeased knowing he went out driving on his own.

"You’re not old enough to have a driver’s license. What if something happens when you go out so recklessly?"

Clyde spread his arms, standing in front of Old Master Summers, "Dad, dressed like this, you expect me to ride a bike to town?"

"Isn’t there a driver at home for you to use?" Old Master Summers said sternly.

"I went out with friends, bringing a driver is too much of a hassle." Clyde said carelessly, "Besides, looking like this, a traffic cop would have to be crazy to think I’m underage, aren’t there plenty of tricycles for them to catch on the street?"

"No matter what, you are not allowed to drive out on your own in the future." Old Master Summers said seriously, "If you must drive, bring a driver with you."

Clyde replied in a dragged-out tone, "Got—it—"

Old Master Summers asked again, "Be honest, do you have a girlfriend?"

"Nope."

"You take a bunch of flowers out and dress like this, and you’re telling me no?"

Clyde laughed, "I haven’t won her over yet, have I?"

As he spoke, his sharp eyes caught a glimpse of the servant passing by the kitchen, and he quickly called out, "Aunt Amelie! Aunt Amelie! How did you say to make jam again?..."

Old Master Summers watched him run out, looking completely helpless.
