Chapter 1506: Chapter 1506: Discipline

Upon waking up and washing, guessing it was time to feed them these two days, Gavin Graves opened the balcony’s glass door and found… the rabbit was gone.

Gavin Graves pressed his forehead to alleviate his restless emotions.

It seemed like nothing had gone smoothly for him lately.

He went out to ask the bodyguard at the door, but no one had seen his rabbit.

As large as the room was, there were only so many places to hide. With only the door and windows as exits, it couldn’t have jumped into the ocean itself. Gavin held back his irritation and let the bodyguard in to look for the rabbit.

The royal suite was lavishly decorated, with many ornaments; it took the men quite some time just to search every nook and cranny.

They were at least three days away from the shore, and Gavin felt that Octopus wouldn’t last that long.

He sat on the sofa, smoking in a bad mood, while Lester Williams tried to ease his master’s worries: “We’ve already dispatched someone to the kitchen. If there are live chickens or ducks, they’ll be brought to you immediately.”

Gavin responded with a faint “Mm,” his sharp brows and eyes shadowed with gloom in the swirling smoke.

Over the years, he had practiced being calm and composed, able to maintain a steady demeanor no matter what happened.

But now, even a rabbit could throw him into disarray.

Ah, so frustrating.

Mr. Ghost Hayes hadn’t slept well all night; he had a nightmare, dreaming that Cherry commanded him to tie up a man.

The rope was so thin, and after several loops, she still thought it wasn’t tight enough, so he had to keep tying and tying… until his old back almost couldn’t straighten up, suffocated, unable to move, as if experiencing sleep paralysis.

Trapped by the nightmare, he struggled for a long time before waking up to find Cherry’s black cat purring on his chest.

“Get off me!” Mr. Ghost Hayes, angry, swatted the cat away and clutched his chest, cursing, “You can’t press on the heart while sleeping! It affects blood circulation and causes nightmares!”

“Meow~” the black cat lazily meowed, walked to a sunny spot, lay down, and squinted in the sun.

“Cherry! Control your cat!” Mr. Ghost Hayes yelled into the room, “There’s a bed to sleep on, so why fight me for the sofa?!”

A lazy female voice came from the room: “You’re plump, soft.”

Mr. Ghost Hayes spat, got up to clear the cat fur on the sofa, “Nonsense, I’m an old man, no matter how fat I get, my chest isn’t as soft as yours!”

While he was muttering quietly, he caught a glimpse of Cherry lazily coming out of the room, heading straight for the door.

“Hey?!” Mr. Ghost Hayes chased after her, “Where are you going?”

She waved her hand weakly, holding the room card Alexander Summers gave her yesterday.

Mr. Ghost Hayes realized he had asked a redundant question.

He felt very conflicted; what kind of obsession was it that drove this couple to cross the ocean to find her…

Cherry sat opposite Purple Summers, feeling more conflicted than Mr. Ghost Hayes.

“Go ahead, say what you want to talk about.”

Purple Summers didn’t expect her to come so early, served her a cup of morning tea, and asked, “Have you had breakfast?”

“No.” Cherry looked impatient, “Whatever you have to say, hurry up. After you’re done, I’m going back to sleep.”

Purple Summers said, “Your schedule is quite irregular, don’t sleep too late in the future.”

“Hey! You’re going too far! You even want to control my sleep?!” Cherry glared angrily.

Purple Summers took a sip of tea and spoke calmly, “It’s not about controlling you, it’s a friendly suggestion. You can choose not to accept it.”

“Tch! Of course, I won’t accept it. Are you done talking? If so, I’m leaving now.” She stood up, acting as if she was about to leave.

“The guest in the next room keeps a dog, and it’s about time for a walk. If you want to leave, go ahead.” Purple Summers continued to drink her tea.

Cherry: “…”

After a moment of hesitation, she sat back down and compromised, “Alright, I know what you want to say. No killing, no arson, no illegal activities, I promise you, is that enough?”

Purple Summers gently blew away the tea foam, “Following the law is your duty as a citizen, not a condition. I asked you here to talk about your future plans.”
