Chapter 205 Plotting

Chapter 1 Bai Ma Shan's Plan

Bai Ma Shan entered the shop. There were many customers on the first floor, and his employees were busy. He went straight upstairs to his office.

Closing the door and drawing the curtains, he began rummaging through his old medicine chest.

The medicine chest was what Bai Ma Shan had used when he first started his practice, when he was learning from his master. It was also a gift from his teacher. It had been a long time, but he couldn't bear to throw it away. He kept it as a memento and put some less frequently used medicines inside.

He remembered that once, the large livestock in the village had contracted some unknown disease, and they had been convulsing and falling to the ground one after another in the past few days. The teacher at the veterinary station received a request for help and rushed there with Bai Ma Shan.

When they arrived, dozens of sheep in a farmer's courtyard were all sick at the same time, foaming at the mouth, tongues sticking out, and convulsing all over. Bai Ma Shan was too scared to touch them, but his teacher stood beside a sheep lying on the ground convulsing, carefully took a bottle from the medicine chest. The bottle contained some brownish-yellow powder. The teacher mixed the powder in water, added vinegar, and boiled it, then had him pour it into the sheep's mouth, and told him to wash his hands after feeding, because humans couldn't touch this medicine, and a little bit would kill them.

After those medicines were given to the sick sheep for a few days, the sheep miraculously recovered. He had specifically asked his teacher what kind of medicine it was. The teacher told him that it was castor bean powder, which was highly toxic, but very effective in treating epilepsy in livestock.

Later, he learned more about this magical powder. It was said that inhaling or ingesting just a few grams of this powder could cause poisoning symptoms in an adult in a very short time.

If this powder could be inhaled into Zhao Di's lungs or respiratory tract, she would undoubtedly die.

Since Bai Ma Shan opened his own clinic, he had prepared some of this powder to prevent such a situation from happening to animals. Now, this powder seemed to have a more important use.

After finding those things from the old medicine chest, he began to pay attention to Lin Yang's movements.

A few days later, he finally saw Lin Yang getting out of a luxury car at the entrance of the community, looking very reluctant. It seemed they were getting along very well.

After the luxury car drove away, Bai Ma Shan quickly walked over and stopped Lin Yang: "Xiao Lin, you look radiant. It seems like you've encountered something good recently."

Lin Yang grinned and didn't hide it: "That's right, I'm getting a divorce."

Bai Ma Shan pretended to be surprised: "What's going on? Zhao Di agreed?"

Lin Yang snorted: "She has no choice but to agree. Marriage is free, and I have the right to pursue my own happiness. I'm going to confront her about it in the next couple of days. By the way, Brother Bai, I wanted to ask you. You know a lot of people. Do you know any reliable divorce lawyers you could introduce me to?"

Bai Ma Shan immediately said, "I know someone. Do you know Hao Jiening in our community? She's Hu Sixiang's wife. She had been闹闹鬧 (nào nào nào - making a fuss) about divorcing Hu Sixiang. She found a lawyer, and I know that person too. He should be okay. Hao Jiening recently got divorced."

Lin Yang didn't know Hao Jiening, and Bai Ma Shan wouldn't tell Lin Yang that although Hao Jiening had gotten divorced, she had also lost half her life. Even her last house in the community had to be sold to compensate Gong Dalong's wife. She divorced Hu Sixiang, but she also became penniless and still had to raise a child on her own. Just looking at the result, you could tell that the divorce lawyer hadn't done anything.

Bai Ma Shan had always given Lin Yang the impression of being an enthusiastic and reliable person, so he was happy to hear him say this and said, "Then introduce me to him another day."

Bai Ma Shan thought for a moment and said, "Actually, if you just want the lawyer to look at the contract, there's no need to hire a lawyer. I'm quite familiar with him. You can discuss what you and Zhao Di want to divide in the divorce, and I'll tell him. He can put these conditions into the divorce contract template. It'll only take three to five minutes. Then I'll print it out for you, and you can just take it and have Zhao Di sign it."

Lin Yang was stingy to begin with, and when he heard that he could save on lawyer's fees, he kept calling Bai Ma Shan "Brother Bai" more affectionately than his own brother.

The next day, Lin Yang went to the hospital. This time, he learned his lesson and kept his distance from Zhao Di. In front of Jia Wenjun and Wu Peng, he said that he wanted to divorce Zhao Di and split the house in half.

Lying in bed, Zhao Di held back her anger and struggled to say the word "no" several times before finally uttering it.

Lin Yang didn't even notice that she could speak now. He only heard that she was dissatisfied with the condition, and his face immediately changed. He raised his voice and said, "This house is marital property. What's wrong with splitting it in half?"

Wu Peng stood in front of him, looking at him: "Who has been making the mortgage payments since the house was bought? What was the down payment ratio? Since Zhao Di doesn't agree with your proposal, then it should be distributed according to these objective conditions."

"This is between me and her. What's it to you!" Lin Yang was annoyed. He didn't want Jia Wenjun and Wu Peng to be here listening at all, but these two wouldn't leave like sticky plasters. Zhao Di let them be here, and he couldn't drive them away, so he could only get angry and tell them not to meddle in other people's business.

Jia Wenjun said, "We're not meddling in other people's business. We are now Zhao Di's representatives for her divorce matters. We have the right to help her maximize her interests."

Lin Yang sneered: "She hired you to help her divorce me?"

The mockery on his face was too obvious, and his whole person exuded a strange narcissism that said, "Even if I get divorced, I won't be with you."

Lin Yang's greasy appearance made Wu Peng unable to stand it any longer. He put his hands on his hips, extremely displeased: "You don't think she still misses you, do you? Standing next to me, what advantages do you think you have?"

Lin Yang was stunned, looking at Wu Peng in front of him, then turned to look at Jia Wenjun, somewhat in disbelief.

Jia Wenjun was also a little dazed. She could feel Wu Peng's concern and care for her during this period had exceeded the relationship of cooperation or even friendship, but she had always chosen to avoid it. She didn't expect Wu Peng to directly state it at this time.

Wu Peng took a step forward, raising his handsome face: "That's right, it's what you think. I'm pursuing her. Where do you get the confidence and courage to think she'd be blind enough to choose you over me?"

Lin Yang was speechless. He was shocked and felt it was unbelievable. With Wu Peng's conditions, how could he possibly fancy Jia Wenjun, who was a few years older than him?

But then again, Jia Wenjun was indeed well-maintained. He had always thought that she still had feelings for him, and that her helping Zhao Di was more or less because of him. Even if Jia Wenjun said it wasn't, he felt that she definitely hadn't let him go in her heart, so he had never cared about her.

Now that he heard that Wu Peng was actually pursuing Jia Wenjun, even if he was confident, he knew that he couldn't compare to Wu Peng.

Seeing Wu Peng constantly protecting Jia Wenjun, and thinking that Jia Wenjun might really not care about him anymore, he actually felt a trace of unwillingness: Although he had married Zhao Di and was now getting along well with a rich woman, the thought that the woman who had liked him before now liked someone else still made him feel uncomfortable.

Jia Wenjun suppressed the shock in her heart and forcibly brought the topic back: "You can ask Zhao Di now if we are commissioned by her. According to her wishes, if you want a divorce, you have to leave with nothing."

Lin Yang came back to his senses and shouted, "She's dreaming!"

Jia Wenjun was unhurried: "She has no income now and needs to rely on that house to survive. You have hands and feet and can make a living for yourself. Besides, she made the down payment and mortgage payments for that house. What's wrong with her wanting her things back?"

Lin Yang sneered: "Don't give me that crap. You want me to leave with nothing? No way!"

Jia Wenjun looked indifferent: "Fine, then we won't divorce. We'll wait until Zhao Di recovers."
