Wei Jie

Just came in for a look, wanted to chat for a bit.

I've been holding a lot of thoughts in my heart lately, and I've been wanting to talk to everyone.

First, let's talk about some of the questions that have appeared in the book review section recently.

Some people say that I broke my promise. When I started writing this book, I promised that The Dragon City Rises would be set against the backdrop of the Hongmen, focusing on the Shuanghua Honggun (Double Blossom Red Pole) and other content. But now it's clearly gone off track, and it's still about politics and intrigue.

Some people also say that my updates have shrunk because I'm writing two books at the same time, and that I deliberately split one chapter into two chapters. Others say that writing two books at the same time has led to a decline in the quality of the content, and so on. In short, there are all sorts of opinions.

Let me first explain the various things that have happened to me recently.

The Dragon City Rises was originally scheduled to be put on channels after 100,000 words.

But readers who read books on channels should have noticed that our book was only put on one channel (Tomato) after about one million words. None of the others have been put on yet.

Let me first explain the importance of channels to authors. The popularity and income of a book are directly linked to channels. Simply put, only by publishing books on all platforms can our work be seen by more people, and only then can it become a big hit.

So why have we only been on one channel?

Because in the past six months or so, the content of The Dragon City Rises has been rejected by the channels at least a dozen times!! The reason is that the content is sensitive and cannot be included!

In order to ensure that it can pass the channel's review, I have to modify and delete the first 200,000 words of the book while updating it!

If you read books on channels, you will find that the beginning of The Dragon City Rises is completely different. There are two versions. (If you don't believe me, you can go to Tomato and take a look again.)

To put it simply, in the channel version of the content, even words like trade unions, the masses, and class are not allowed!! There are countless deletions and modifications.

Our book was originally based on associations. You can imagine how difficult it was for me to modify it, and how much work it took.

I often wrote until 10 p.m., then ate a meal, and then continued to modify until 2 or 3 a.m.!

Fortunately, some channels passed the security review! But the more serious problem is that my content outline almost has to be completely modified, because I can't focus on describing associations and other organizations, as well as many extended plots of association development!!

This is why the story centered on the Hongmen has been slowly diluted, and I have begun to focus on writing about political intrigue!

Many core contents have been cut, and some of the character designs are difficult to express! For example, Wei Xiangzuo, Lu Feng, and so on...

I'm saying this, can everyone understand?

This is also why the website asked me to write science fiction, and I agreed immediately.

First of all, I myself am interested in science fiction. Readers in the official group should have seen me talk about this topic. I wanted to write it a long time ago.

Secondly, I have to write a new genre sooner or later, so if there's an opportunity now, I'll just start it.

But!!

I am a buyout author! The price of Eternal Life and The Dragon City Rises is the same. Those readers who say that I want to take advantage of both sides, please be kind, okay?

Writing a chapter of Eternal Life is no different from writing a chapter of The Dragon City Rises.

Second, about the number of words updated.

I reiterate one last time that I have always written 2,000 words per chapter since I started writing, and the regulations of our platform also stipulate that we must meet 2,000 words in order to publish VIP chapters.

If anyone doesn't believe it, you can go to the PC version to see the subscribed chapters, which have a clear number of words on them!! Please don't continue to set the pace in the book review section. I'm really tired of it.

Third.

The story line of The Dragon City Rises has been modified.

But I can promise you, the readers who have been following me for nearly ten years, that I will definitely finish this book well. It will not be a rotten ending, please rest assured.

Because before the scale changes, this should be my last novel of this kind of theme. I want to finish it well more than anyone else.

However, because of the modification of the story line, this book will not be as long as Ninth Special Zone. I estimate that there are still more than one million words in the story, and the story has entered the middle stage.

Next, I will not update so frequently. The normal daily updates will not change, and the minimum of five chapters on Mondays will not change, but there should be no high-intensity bursts.

First, my body really can't handle it, and second, I have to focus on ensuring the quality of The Dragon City Rises and give my old readers an explanation.

Impatient readers, don't rush me. You can take your time! Just treat it as understanding for Wei Jie, who is already over thirty. If you are really not satisfied, then readers certainly have the right to choose.

Finally, let me say that reopening a new genre may be a difficult road!

It may even have to start all over again...

But I am willing to walk it again!

This is not a helpless move, because many people are still avoiding it, copying it, and trying every means to stick to this kind of theme and not move.

Just like the birth of countless special zones after the Ninth Special Zone was finished.

I don't want to be like that. I can still fight!!

That's it! I thank everyone with gratitude!
