Chapter 494 The Woman Who Fought with Her Life
A sharp screech of brakes pierced the air as the speeding van skidded sideways across the street.
Inside, the sudden jolt sent two scrawny thugs and Hu Zi, who was sitting in the back, tumbling.
A Hua yanked the handbrake and immediately reached for the waist of one of the thugs, remembering he had drawn a gun earlier.
"Bang, bang!"
The thug, pinned beneath his companion, kicked A Hua in the face repeatedly. "Damn it, kill her!"
A Hua's nose bled, and her right eye blurred, but she gritted her teeth and used both hands to yank the gun from his waistband.
"Thump!"
Hu Zi knew he couldn't let A Hua get the gun. Reacting instantly, he pounced on her, pinning her gun-wielding wrist with both hands.
The two wrestled. A Hua, a woman, was at a distinct disadvantage against a man in a test of strength. It was a biological reality.
But A Hua wasn't trying to fight him head-on. She was smart, a far cry from the image of a fierce woman she projected.
Clutching the gun, A Hua, in desperation, bit down hard on Hu Zi's left wrist.
"Ah! Damn it!" Hu Zi screamed and released his left hand, but his right hand still held A Hua's arm.
That was all A Hua needed. With his left hand out of the way, she expertly released the gun's safety and, without aiming, pulled the trigger.
"Bang, bang!"
Two crisp gunshots echoed in the van.
...
On the surrounding streets.
Su Tianyu, desperately searching for someone, immediately heard the gunshots. He paused for a moment, then grabbed his walkie-talkie and yelled, "Left side, on the left! Hurry!"
"We hear you!"
"I'm close, I'm going over there!"
"...!"
Hou Guoyu, Lao Hei, and Fang Zheng in their car responded first.
Su Tianyu urged his driver, "Faster, faster! If she fired those shots, she must be in danger."
...
Inside the van.
A Hua was about to fire a couple more shots to signal their location when she suddenly felt a chill on her left leg.
The thug pinned on the side in the middle row had pulled a dagger from his waistband and slashed A Hua's leg as he raised his arm.
"Damn it, I'll stab you to death!" The thug, eyes bloodshot, gripped the dagger and stabbed down.
A Hua was still struggling with Hu Zi and couldn't free her hands. She could only let the thug stab her thigh.
The blade pierced her pants, her skin, and slammed into the bone. The agonizing pain felt like a hard object scraping against her bone.
"Stab her neck, stab her!" Hu Zi roared hatefully.
A Hua couldn't get to the gun. She couldn't overpower Hu Zi, so she abandoned the gun and grabbed the nearby briefcase full of money, slamming it down on Hu Zi's head twice.
Hu Zi blocked the briefcase with his arm, pushed the thug off his stomach, and started to get up to retaliate.
Clang!
Just then, the black briefcase, which had been hit twice, broke open, and a grenade rolled out from inside.
Su Tianyu had given it to A Hua before she got in the car, so Lao Hei or Hou Guoyu could use it to escape in an emergency. Now it was in A Hua's hands.
As Hu Zi raised his arm, A Hua grabbed the grenade and flicked off the safety.
The three men in the van were stunned. First, they hadn't expected A Hua to be so fierce, unafraid of knives or guns. Second, they never imagined a woman could fire a gun and handle a grenade.
What they didn't know was that A Hua wasn't brave or unafraid of death. She was worried about her husband, that bastard who always tricked her out of money…
A Hua gripped the grenade and screamed hysterically, "Come on! Let's all die together!"
Hu Zi stared at her in disbelief. "I don't believe you'd dare throw it!"
"Slap!"
A Hua shoved the grenade against Hu Zi's neck. "You don't believe me?! Come on, let's see you fire your gun first, you son of a bitch!"
"Gulp!"
Hu Zi swallowed hard.
A Hua slowly pushed herself up against the side of the van and kicked the thug in the face. "You think you're going to rape me?! I was a bandit with Baldy when you were just a cell!"
Hu Zi looked at the grenade in A Hua's hand, fear rising in his heart. He glanced at the thug at his feet.
"Damn it, if I can't handle a woman, I might as well die!" The thug gripped his knife and stabbed at A Hua's stomach.
"Squeak!"
At that moment, the driver slammed on the brakes, and the occupants of the van were thrown forward again. A Hua's head slammed into the back of the front seat.
The thug was thrown off balance, and as he pushed the knife forward, he suddenly saw Hu Zi flying toward him.
"Thwack!"
Hu Zi looked down and saw the knife had stabbed into his inner thigh, only half a finger's length from his testicles.
"You motherfucking traitor!" Hu Zi roared, gritting his teeth, and smashed the thug with the butt of his gun.
"Stop fighting, they're here, people are here!" the driver screamed from the front.
Hu Zi turned his head and saw two cars blocking their path.
"Damn it, reverse, reverse!" Hu Zi shouted.
"Squeak!"
Another SUV blocked their retreat.
Hu Zi saw the situation and didn't have time to deal with A Hua. He reached out, yanked open the car door, and jumped out, ready to fight back with his gun.
The doors of the three SUVs flew open, and Su Tianyu, Lao Hei, Fang Zheng, Hou Guoyu, and others jumped out, armed with a dozen long guns.
Hu Zi was instantly stunned. How could they fight this formation?!
"Monkey, save A Hua!" Su Tianyu shouted.
Hou Guoyu strode forward, just as the two thugs emerged from the van.
"Damn it!" Seeing Hou Guoyu charging at them, one of the thugs waved his knife.
Hou Guoyu was five steps away from the thug when he raised his right arm, gathering strength.
The distance closed.
"Whoosh!"
The thug stabbed forward clumsily.
Hou Guoyu dodged to the side and threw a punch, slamming it into the thug's temple.
"Bang! Snap, crash!"
The thug's head whipped his neck, his neck whipped his body, and he flew off the ground, his head smashing through the car window like a cannonball, half his body flying into the van.
"Thud!"
Hu Zi stared in disbelief at Hou Guoyu and dropped his gun. "I... I surrender!"
Inside the van, A Hua, bruised and covered in blood, stumbled out, grabbing Hu Zi's neck with both hands, her eyes red with tears as she roared, "Where's my Lao Fei?! Where did you take him?! Talk!"
...
In the suburbs of the Hua capital, inside an abandoned house.
The young man was tied to a concrete pillar, his eyes blindfolded.
Su Tiannan held a knife to his neck and looked at Zhang Taotao across from him. "I can't kill you, but I dare to kill him."
"Su Tiannan! Don't involve family!"
"I don't give a damn about family!" Su Tiannan roared in anger. "What about the families of those who were kidnapped?! What about Uncle You, who died? Didn't he have a family?! Aren't those people more innocent than your brother?! Your brother wears gold and silver and studies at the best school, while those kidnapped Chinese people can't even afford to eat!"
Zhang Taotao was speechless.
"Don't try to guilt-trip me." Su Tiannan pressed the knife against Zhang Wen's neck. "Three!"
"Two!"
"...!"
Zhang Taotao closed her eyes and immediately shouted, "Okay, okay! You let my brother go, and I'll cooperate with you!"
"Take me to Island Seven!" Su Tiannan ordered.
"Okay, no problem," Zhang Taotao replied, her eyes still closed.
