Chapter 433 1V5
The head of the Coast Guard, Director Cheng, chatted with Su Tianyu for a while, and it was soon after 5 PM, the end of the workday.
Su Tianyu wasn't oblivious; he felt that the purpose of their first meeting had been achieved, so he stood up to bid farewell.
Leaving the office, Su Tianyu originally wanted to go to his squadron, maybe get his personal locker key or something, but unfortunately, they were already off work as well. Moreover, the squadron leader of the First Squadron hadn't returned due to an off-site mission, so he figured he'd take care of these trivial matters tomorrow.
Because Su Tianyu had been on leave for a while, busy with the association and Lao Li's affairs, he hadn't had time for socializing. In the entire Coast Guard, he barely knew anyone, which saved him the trouble of greeting people everywhere.
He walked downstairs, strolling along the bluestone path towards the gate. He noticed that the people playing basketball on the playground hadn't dispersed yet. A group of outsourced temporary workers were trimming the lawn, and the dark-skinned young man was among them.
Su Tianyu looked at the lively compound, feeling quite good. He took out his cigarette case and lit another one.
"Bang!"
Just as Su Tianyu stopped to light his cigarette, a basketball suddenly flew out from the playground, landing right in the middle of the temporary workers trimming the lawn.
The Coast Guard's basketball court had tall iron nets all around it, making it very tidy and clean. The only drawback was that if the ball flew out, someone had to go out and retrieve it.
Inside the court, a tall young man was feeling lazy. He stood inside the net and shouted, "Hey, lawn trimmers, help me throw the ball back!"
Next to the lawn, the dark-skinned young man patted the back of his head where the ball had hit him, frowned, glanced at the playground, and kicked the basketball several meters away. It rolled right into the sewer, which was full of rainwater and filth.
"I'm talking to you guys, help me pick up the ball," the tall young man shouted again.
Around him, the outsourced workers trimming the lawn ignored him, heads down, doing their jobs.
The young man in the court saw that no one was helping, so he had to walk around and come to the lawn himself.
The others continued to work, heads down, not talking to him.
The young man came to the sewer, kicked the ball out with his foot, and muttered, "If you don't want to pick it up, then don't, but why did you kick my ball?!"
Next to the lawn, the dark-skinned young man was holding an electric trimmer, not responding at all.
"I'm talking to you, how can you be so rude?!" The young man was getting a little angry that he hadn't responded several times.
Su Tianyu stood aside, smoking, watching with his hands in his pockets.
The dark-skinned young man continued to work, as if he hadn't heard anything.
The young man looked at the temporary workers with disgust, took out a tissue from his pocket, pressed the ball to the ground, wiped it, then picked it up and walked back.
"Idiot, how could someone with this kind of quality be recruited!" The basketball player muttered as he passed the dark-skinned young man, his voice loud enough to be heard.
Young people were hot-blooded and valued face, especially those in this kind of unit. Either they had been in the army before, or they came from well-off families but weren't good at studying. In any case, nerds and academic geniuses rarely applied to this kind of unit.
"Who are you calling an idiot?!" The dark-skinned young man, who hadn't said a word until now, suddenly looked up and asked.
The other man glanced at him: "Are you an idiot? Why else would you answer?"
"So you're calling me an idiot?" The dark-skinned young man dropped the trimmer and walked over. He was at least 1.85 meters tall, his skin as dark as charcoal, and his body was strong and his limbs looked very sturdy.
"What if I am? Why did you kick my ball?!" The basketball player wasn't someone to be trifled with either, and he looked just as strong and tall as the dark-skinned man.
The dark-skinned man stepped forward, less than a meter away from the other man.
"What are you looking at? I'm asking you, why did you kick my ball...?"
"Slap!"
Before he could finish speaking, the dark-skinned man suddenly raised his arm and slapped the other man on the back of the head.
Su Tianyu saw with his own eyes that the dark-skinned man only slapped him once, but the other man almost fell over, stumbling forward a couple of steps.
The basketball player was at least 1.8 meters tall and clearly exercised regularly, his muscles were obvious, but now he was sent forward two steps by a single slap.
What kind of power was that?! Even someone who swung a sledgehammer every day wouldn't be that strong!
The slap infuriated the basketball player, and the back of his neck was visibly red and swollen. He steadied himself, turned around, and cursed, "Damn you! I'm going to kill you!"
After shouting, the basketball player kicked at the dark-skinned man.
The dark-skinned man dodged to the side, clenched his right fist, and slammed it sideways into the other man's chest.
"Bang!"
A sound like a drumbeat rang out, and the basketball player who had kicked out lost his balance and fell backward onto the ground, his ball flying away.
Next to them, one of the other outsourced workers immediately pulled at the dark-skinned man: "Xiao Hou, forget it, we're all in the same place, don't make trouble." (Xiao Hou = Little Hou - a familiar way to address someone)
The dark-skinned man glanced disdainfully at the young man lying on the ground and turned to leave.
"Cnm!" (Cnm = Chinese curse, similar to "f*** your mother")
"Stop right there!"
"...!"
Just then, four of the basketball player's friends ran out of the court.
The dark-skinned man turned back and pointed at them, saying, "Don't act tough, and don't provoke me, or I'll kill you!"
"You're just bragging!" One of the first to rush over jumped up with a flying kick.
The dark-skinned man didn't move. His right leg instantly rose to seventy-five degrees, and he kicked straight out.
"Bang!"
Their legs collided, and the young man who had kicked first was sent flying back, stumbling and crashing to the ground.
This time, the dark-skinned man didn't just defend. He stepped to the left, swung his right arm, and threw a haymaker at the man coming from his left.
The man dodged back and used his arm to defend his head.
"Bang!"
With a muffled thud, the man who had dodged and raised his arm to defend was sent back three steps by the dark-skinned man's haymaker.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
The dark-skinned man stepped forward and landed three consecutive punches, each breaking through the defense, directly knocking the man down.
Five against one, the dark-skinned man had taken down three in less than ten seconds. The others were completely KO'd, dazed and unable to get up.
"Whoosh!"
The people around rushed over, pulling and trying to stop them.
"We're all in the same unit, don't fight!"
"Forget it, forget it!"
"...!"
Nearby, Su Tianyu watched the dark-skinned man in astonishment and muttered, "Is this guy crazy? He's too fierce!"
"What are you doing?!"
Just then, a squadron leader-level officer walked quickly over from a distance: "Everyone, stand aside!"
