Chapter 135 The Garrison Takes Flight

Chapter 64 The Rescue

On the streets of Longkou District, three cars were speeding along.

Inside one of the cars, Su Tianyu held a gun to Nick's head. "Can you understand Chinese?!"

Nick stared at Su Tianyu with a ferocious look, not saying a word.

"You wanna play staring games with me, huh?" Su Tianyu turned his head and roared, "Uncle Gang!"

"Bang!"

Without hesitation, Uncle Gang shot the black man in the back seat, shattering his right kneecap.

"Ah!"

A scream echoed through the car, but Nick still didn't respond to Su Tianyu.

"Thump!"

Growing impatient, Su Tianyu didn't have time for interrogation tactics. He grabbed a knife with his left hand and plunged it into Nick's left eyeball.

Nick convulsed in pain, howling, "I'll tear you to pieces!"

"Thump!"

Su Tianyu dodged his ear with a slash of the knife. Nick fainted from the pain, still without revealing any information about Zhou Tonghui.

"You're pretty tough, huh?" Su Tianyu turned his knife towards the black man in the back seat. "Okay, you're next."

Nick was, after all, a key member of the Warhammer organization, having navigated the gold brick industry for many years. What storms hadn't he weathered? He knew very well that if he spilled the beans now, his life would be forfeit. So, he wanted to stall for time, allowing the people outside to move Zhou Tonghui and Yu Mingfei to a safe location.

But!

Not everyone had Nick's fortitude. There were five other captured members, and not all of them were necessarily willing to die. If Nick didn't talk, Su Tianyu might not kill him. But if they didn't talk, they could very well be dead soon.

Su Tianyu went to work on the black man in the back seat, slicing open the skin around his joints, poking at his bones with the tip of his knife. The man was tortured to the point of complete collapse, roaring, "...I'll talk...I'll talk!"

Su Tianyu wiped the blood from his face, showing no sympathy as he demanded, "Where are they?!"

"I...I need a map, I can't say for sure..." the man replied in broken Chinese.

Su Tianyu immediately pulled out his phone, brought up a map of the area around Dragon City, and showed it to the man. "Point it out!"

The black man's hand trembled as he zoomed in on the map and pointed to a spot.

Su Tianyu immediately called Yu Jinhang. "I got the location."

...

Inside Dragon City, a regimental commander from the garrison stood before Yu Jinhang, holding a phone and saying, "I am now formally ordering you to send your company to coastal area 403 for a routine patrol mission, immediately!"

"Yes, sir!" the officer on the phone replied immediately.

After the two ended the call, the company commander's personal phone suddenly received a text message with a precise location.

Two minutes later.

At a coastal wharf on the north side of Dragon City, six men dragged Zhou Tonghui and Yu Mingfei out.

Across the road, four cars stopped. A man in the lead car waved his hand and shouted, "Hurry up, Brother Hu wants us to leave immediately!"

"Coming, coming!"

The six men helped Zhou Tonghui and Yu Mingfei, struggling to get them up the slope to the road, ready to shove them into the car.

"Buzzing!"

The sound of a helicopter's rotors filled the air, but no one paid much attention, assuming it was a naval patrol aircraft. They bent over to put the two men in the car, ready to leave.

The sound of the rotors grew louder and louder, and an extremely bright spotlight swept across the land.

"We are the Dragon City Garrison, Second Patrol Brigade, Third Regiment, First Company patrol reconnaissance aircraft. All personnel below, upon hearing this message, immediately put your hands on your heads and squat down in place...!" a voice boomed from the helicopter.

The thugs below were stunned. Someone immediately shouted, "Quick, run, get out of the car and run!"

The helicopter was here. Choosing to escape by car was like being an idiot. Many thugs were afraid of being caught on the spot, so they chose to get out of the car and flee.

"Repeat, we are...!" the helicopter's message continued.

Dozens of thugs below were shouting and scattering in all directions, some still carrying Zhou Tonghui and Yu Mingfei.

On the helicopter's communication channel, the company commander's voice rang out, "Those damned Ma Gang are too rampant! Today, we have orders from above, just shoot half of them."

With orders from above, the soldiers on the helicopter didn't care who was below. A private opened the cabin door and set up a machine gun.

"Buzz...!"

The high-speed machine gun rotated.

"Lower, lower the altitude," the co-pilot shouted.

The helicopter's nose dipped down, flying close to the coastal forest, moving very fast.

"Fire!" the officer in the cabin shouted.

"Bang bang bang...!"

The sound of gunfire, like a string of firecrackers exploding in succession, echoed in the sky above the coastline. One-finger-long machine gun bullets swept through the forest, breaking tree trunks and sending debris flying.

Those Ma Gang members running wildly in the forest fell to the ground one after another. Many were hit and their bodies were torn in two.

Is it pitiful?

Not really. These people were all core members of the Ma Gang, the absolute backbone of the gold brick industry. Their goods were distributed within Dragon City.

When you're in this business, talking about humanity is completely unnecessary.

In a burst of gunfire, six or seven criminals were killed on the spot, and the rest dared not run, all squatting in the forest shouting their surrender.

The helicopter circled overhead, its machine gun gleaming darkly.

About three or four minutes later, the garrison convoy arrived and arrested everyone.

In the forest, Zhou Tonghui's consciousness was already very blurred, but he still shouted to the soldiers, "He...he's hurt worse than me, save him...save him!"

The soldiers immediately hoisted the two onto the plane and sent them to the garrison hospital.

...

In the city.

The regimental commander turned to look at Yu Jinhang and said, "The people are back."

"Can they be saved?!" Yu Jinhang asked, his voice cracking.

"They are currently safe and have been sent to the hospital," the regimental commander replied.

Hearing this, Yu Jinhang finally breathed a sigh of relief and sat down in his chair, saying, "The people who went to Longkou still need you to send them out."

"No problem. You call them and tell them to go to the rendezvous point. The people need to leave now, or there will be trouble if they are blocked by the judicial department," the regimental commander immediately instructed.

Hearing this, Yu Jinhang immediately called Su Tianyu.

...

In the city.

Gu Tongshan had just run out of the trading company. Bent over in the car, he held his phone and roared at Xu Hu, "Nick and them got caught, you come back quickly!"

"I know, are you okay? Master!"

"I'm out."

"You have to be careful, the Dakuan (big circle) from above have parachuted into Dragon City. No one knows what they want to do," Xu Hu reminded.

"Don't worry about me, contact the outer... ."

The two talked on the phone for a minute before hanging up.

In the city, in an alley, the man with burns all over his face lowered his head and tied on a triangular scarf. "It's moving!"
