Chapter 132 This Place is Too Complicated

Captain Niu looked up at the burly man, "What are you doing?!"

"Didn't you hear me telling you to get out of here?" The burly man glared with his triangular eyes, cursing unreasonably.

Captain Niu frowned, sized up the man, suppressed his anger, and stood up, shouting, "Let's go."

"Get your ass moving!" The burly man reached out again, pushing towards Captain Niu's head.

  "Pa!"

Captain Niu reacted quickly, grabbing the other man's wrist and pressing down hard. "Don't you know any manners? Speak properly, and stop spouting nonsense!"

The burly man was forced downward, his right side sagging. He opened his mouth and roared, "Okay, okay, let go!"

Captain Niu was there to work, not to fight with thugs, so he ignored the man, released his hand, and turned to leave.

Just then, the burly man suddenly grabbed a beer bottle from the table and jumped up, smashing it towards the back of Captain Niu's head. "Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty!"

Captain Niu was a security department officer, and his personal skills were beyond doubt. He deftly dodged the bottle and kicked out a leg.

  "Thump!"

After being kicked to the ground, the burly man suddenly yelled, "I've been hit!"

Before Captain Niu and his men could react, dozens of people suddenly rushed out from the surrounding alleys and shops, each armed with iron bars and machetes.

Seeing this, Captain Niu immediately realized something was wrong. He instinctively took two steps back and reached for his gun.

"Get him!" The burly man pointed at Captain Niu and roared at the top of his lungs.

  "Whoosh!"

In the blink of an eye, dozens of people charged forward, and the supermarket and shop owners immediately pulled down their shutters.

Captain Niu, gun in hand, shouted back, "Call for backup! Call Yu Jinhang! We've been had!"

Anyone with a brain would have realized that they had fallen into the dock's trap. Although it was unclear where the information had leaked from, it was obvious that the other side was deliberately picking a fight and had come prepared.

  "Bang!"

A Caucasian agent from the security bureau drew his gun and fired into the sky. "Back off! Get down on the ground with your hands on your head!"

  "Thump!"

Before he could finish speaking, a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old kid, who had appeared from nowhere, viciously smashed a stool over the back of the Caucasian agent's head.

That blow marked the start of all-out war. Relying on their numbers, the dock gang surrounded the four agents in front of the supermarket, swinging their weapons wildly.

At first, Captain Niu hesitated to fire. His concerns were clear: the other side's identities straddled the line between civilians and dockworkers. If he fired rashly and killed someone, he would definitely be held accountable, because The Dragon City and District One operated under different systems.

But there were simply too many opponents, and they were too ruthless. Captain Niu was not only beaten to the ground himself, but his colleagues' cars, parked on the roadside, were also smashed, and the agents inside were dragged out and beaten senseless.

Captain Niu could hold on, but the Caucasian agents couldn't! They were from the regional security department; when had they ever been subjected to such treatment? Moreover, according to District One's laws, they had the right to shoot anyone who attacked law enforcement personnel.

  "Bang, bang, bang…!"

Gunshots rang out, and three dock gang members fell to the ground.

The Caucasian agent, blood streaming down his head, roared, gun in hand, "Back off, or I'll shoot you idiots!"

The agents thought the gunshots would deter the dock gang, but to their surprise, the crowd not only didn't disperse, but grew even larger.

In the center of the crowd, a leading man whispered, "They fired first! Use guns to kill them!"

As he spoke, a man hiding in the back of the crowd pulled an old shotgun from a canvas bag, stealthily moved to the front, and fired at the Caucasian agent's thigh. "You sons of bitches, running around here showing off! The ghosts are shooting, hitting our people! Beat them to death!"

The shot brought the agent down. He watched helplessly as the crowd surged forward again, surrounding them and beating them mercilessly.

In the alley beside the supermarket, an agent lay on the ground, shouting into his phone, "Director Yu, we've walked into a trap! There are dozens of people at the dock beating us…!"

"Hello, speak clearly! Hello, are you still there?" Yu Jinhang shouted into the phone, but the other end had already hung up. He tried calling again, but no one answered.

While the street brawl was in full swing, three cars pulled up to the roadside. Nick and his six men walked out of the alley, smiling, and got into the cars.

In the car, Nick glanced at the agents being swallowed up by the crowd and sneered, "Naive idiots!"

With that, the three cars sped away.

Nick dialed Gu Tongshan's number. "They've found this place. Should I leave?"

"Come to Longkou; no one can touch you there," Gu Tongshan replied succinctly.

Captain Niu, unfamiliar with the situation in The Dragon City and unaware of the dock gang's influence, had failed to apprehend his target and had instead found himself in danger.

But Gu Tongshan was also taken aback, because he hadn't known that the people Lao Mo had found in District One had been secretly arrested.

  …

  Meanwhile.

Yu Jinhang left the garrison unit expressionlessly and drove to the Dragon City Security Bureau headquarters.

That evening, around 7:30 PM, Yu Jinhang met with a major. After a brief exchange, they immediately called the Dockworkers' General Association to demand the release of the people.

Upon receiving the news, the Longkou District gang leader directly called Gu Tongshan.

  "Hello?"

"Old Gu, the Security Bureau is not happy. They're ordering us to hand over the people immediately. What do you think we should do?" the gang leader asked directly.

Gu Tongshan deliberated for two seconds. "Tell them to come find me. I'll talk to them."

  "Okay."

Now that things had reached this point, Gu Tongshan had to step forward. Because he was the one in charge of the Zha Nan district, the Dockworkers' General Association would definitely send him to negotiate.

After a brief exchange, the major took Yu Jinhang and six others to Longkou District.

In the car, the major cursed with a livid face, "Those damn dock gangs are getting bolder and bolder! They even dare to attack the Security Bureau?! If they piss me off tonight, I'll send in an action team and wipe them all out!"

"The situation with the dock gangs is complicated. Let's talk things over first," Yu Jinhang replied politely, but he had a very poor impression of the major.

  Why?

Because after Captain Niu and his men were ambushed at the dock, the major had been verbally abusive, but had not taken any strong action. In other words, he was all talk and no action.

  …

Before leaving the General Association, Gu Tongshan called Xu Hu. "Go outside the district. I need the people tonight."

"Okay." After receiving the call, Xu Hu immediately took his men and drove out of Dragon City.

  Around 7:30 PM.

The major and Yu Jinhang met Gu Tongshan at a teahouse in Longkou District.

  …

  Somewhere.

Gou Liuzi held a phone, whispering to Uncle Gang, "Captain Niu has been taken down."
