Chapter 40 Conversation in the Car (Alliance Master Addition)
Tang Baiqing stood at the door, stunned for a few seconds, before finally coming back to his senses. He immediately ran to the girl's side, held her head in his hands, and asked, "Xiao Ying, are you okay? Xiao Ying!"
When Tang Baiqing held her head, his hands were covered in blood, and the girl's convulsions became more obvious, with saliva and blood mixed foam spraying from her mouth and nose.
Tang Baiqing was terrified and his face turned pale. He struggled to lift the girl up, turned his head, and shouted at Da Xiong, "What are you standing there for? Help!"
At the door, Da Xiong was already dumbfounded, staring at Tang Baiqing with his mouth agape, and asked, "Wha...what happened?!"
"Stop asking, hurry up!" Tang Baiqing roared.
Seeing the person injured like this, Da Xiong didn't ask any more questions. He immediately threw down the food bag, took out his work gloves from his pocket, put them on, and rushed to the girl's side, lifting her legs.
"Quick, get her in the car!" Tang Baiqing urged.
The two of them worked together to lift the girl up, pushing open the door to rush out. But at this moment, the girl, who had been convulsing, suddenly made an obvious gasping sound from her mouth and nose, followed by her body stiffening, and her staring eyes no longer moving.
Tang Baiqing and Da Xiong had been carrying the girl, and they could both feel her body stiffening at the end.
"Bang!"
Da Xiong's back had already pushed the door open a crack.
"Don't...don't move!" Tang Baiqing suddenly shouted.
"She...she's gone." Da Xiong used a firm tone, not a question.
Tang Baiqing swallowed: "Fi...first, put her down."
Da Xiong didn't argue or say much. He cooperated with Tang Baiqing to put the person on the ground, and immediately walked to the corner of the room, standing still.
Tang Baiqing squatted on the ground, his eyes scanning the surroundings in horror, and then he saw the thing he had just picked up to hit someone with: a special small hammer for knocking on the speedboat's fixing bolts.
"Damn it!" Tang Baiqing gritted his teeth, suddenly stood up, and looked at Da Xiong, saying, "Help me carry her out and throw her into the sea."
Da Xiong didn't move: "I...I...can't throw her."
"Damn it!" Tang Baiqing's eyes were red as he walked towards Da Xiong: "I told you to come and help me!!"
Da Xiong still didn't move, habitually squatting down against the wall.
Tang Baiqing angrily kicked Da Xiong twice, picked up the hammer, and looked at the girl on the ground.
Struggling, thinking, Tang Baiqing stood beside the girl, stunned for a full half a minute before giving up and throwing the hammer away. He turned around, walked to the inside, and took out his phone.
"Hello?" After a few seconds, the call connected.
"Dad...Dad...something happened to me..."
"What's wrong? What is it?" the middle-aged man on the phone asked.
"I...I accidentally killed someone..." Tang Baiqing lowered his head, his voice trembling.
The middle-aged man was silent for a full three or four seconds before asking in a calm voice, "Where are you?"
"I'm on the third floor next to the unit, and there's just me and...a smuggling worker on the scene." Tang Baiqing glanced at Da Xiong with his peripheral vision: "I...I really didn't mean to."
"Tell me the location."
"At Haiyan Pit..." Tang Baiqing truthfully explained the location.
"Wait!" The middle-aged man hung up the phone directly.
Against the wall, Da Xiong looked at Tang Baiqing in the dim light: "Sho...should we call the police?"
Tang Baiqing glanced at him: "If we call the police, you fucking better not talk nonsense."
Da Xiong nodded obediently and didn't say anything else.
In just over half an hour, Tang Baiqing sat in the room and smoked more than a dozen cigarettes.
"Creak!"
Finally, the door of the third floor was pulled open, and a man in a suit stood in the shadows, waving to Tang Baiqing: "Baiqing, come out."
Hearing this, Tang Baiqing immediately got up and strode out of the room.
Seeing Tang Baiqing go out, Da Xiong looked at the body on the ground with some fear, and unconsciously walked to the window of the room, close to the light switch.
Outside the door, the heavy rain was still falling. Tang Baiqing bent over and got into his father's car.
Inside the car, besides Tang Baiqing's father, there was also a police officer who had come over in his pajamas. He was very old.
Outside the car, the driver was standing in the rain, waiting.
"Dad, I...I really didn't mean to. She scratched me, so I hit her, just once!" Tang Baiqing tried his best to explain.
"Slap!"
Tang's father slapped his son in the face, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes: "You can get a woman killed, you fucking pig brain!"
Tang Baiqing's cheeks were red and swollen, and he didn't dare to say anything.
"Lao Yang, can this be done?" Tang's father turned his head and asked the man in pajamas.
The man thought for a moment, then looked up at Tang Baiqing and asked, "When she came to you, did anyone see her?"
"Yes, we were playing cards!" Tang Baiqing nodded.
"Is there anyone else in the room?" the man asked again.
"Yes, there is also a worker who does...smuggling. He lives here." Tang Baiqing said everything he knew.
"Just one hit?" the man asked sharply, his eyes like torches.
Tang Baiqing immediately nodded: "I really only hit her once, Uncle Yang!"
"Do many people know about your relationship?"
"Quite a few, we met at a party, and a few people in my circle of friends know we're together!"
The man rubbed his palms, turned his head to look at Tang's father: "If we don't go through official channels, it might get worse! Someone saw this woman when she came, and someone might have known she was coming to find Baiqing before she left."
Tang's father was silent.
"Being exposed will make us passive." The man said euphemistically, "Handling it privately and being exposed later is different from causing death by accidental injury in a fight. Do you understand what I mean, Lao Tang!"
Tang's father bit his teeth and whispered in the man's ear, "My son has a future, it will be ruined if he goes through official channels."
"My suggestion is this, it's the least risky." The man thought for a moment and said, "The police station has my people, they won't make it too serious."
Tang's father clenched his fists, looking at his son with gloomy eyes, and nodded after thinking for a long time: "Okay, let's do it the way you said."
"Can you handle that worker?" the man asked Tang Baiqing.
"I know his boss, I can talk to him!" Tang Baiqing nodded: "He shouldn't talk nonsense, and I didn't do anything anyway."
"Now that we're here, he can't say anything!" The man frowned and reminded him.
"I understand, I understand!" Tang Baiqing nodded.
"Lao Tang, why don't you go back first? Should I call in a new report?" the man asked.
"Okay!" Tang's father nodded.
...
At around 11 o'clock in the evening, the sound of police sirens echoed on the beach, and six or seven police cars stopped in front of the third floor.
Subsequently, Tang Baiqing and Da Xiong, the two parties involved, were taken into the police car by the police, while the female corpse was placed in a police van and transported away.
Tang Baiqing sat in the police car, his mind blank. His heart was in a mess, and he seemed to have foreseen his outcome.
His future was ruined, and he faced imprisonment!
...
At more than four o'clock in the morning.
Yu Mingyuan's call came to Su Tianyu's cell phone: "You get up and go to the third floor immediately. Something happened there. You rearrange the boats and everything, and transport them away before the police station goes to work at half past eight in the morning, hurry!"
Su Tianyu sat up abruptly: "What's the matter?"
"Tang Baiqing got high on Zha Zhen, and beat someone to death there!" (Zha Zhen - injecting drugs)
"...Isn't this just being idle?" Su Tianyu cursed speechlessly, got up and got out of bed.
