Chapter 1 Midnight

It was around 1:30 AM.

Inside the hallway of the Third Division's field hospital, Su Tianyu, Hou Guoyu, Lao Hei, Da Bai, A-Hua, and others were waiting quietly.

"Sister-in-law, don't worry. Fei Ping-sheng has always been in good health. He'll be fine," Da Bai said, trying to reassure A-Hua.

"I'm fine, I'm not worried," A-Hua replied calmly, sitting quietly on the chair. "A fever is better than a bullet wound!"

Many of those present had personally witnessed A-Hua's actions on Island Seven. She had been completely unafraid for her own safety when rescuing her husband. No one would believe she wasn't worried about Fei Ping-sheng!

However, A-Hua was different from other women. Her anxiety didn't affect others, and she rarely showed strong negative emotions in front of Su Tianyu and the others.

Aside from her slightly ordinary looks, such a wife was truly hard to find even with a lantern!

As they waited, the door to the emergency room finally opened. The military doctor walked out and said to Su Tianyu, "Acute pneumonia. He needs to stay here for a week for IV drips!"

"Is it serious?" Su Tianyu asked.

"Can anything be serious once they get to me?" the military doctor replied nonchalantly. "But he's not young anymore. Next time, try not to let him go to the front lines! A-Hua stood up and thanked him. "Thank you, Officer Wang!"

"We're all on the same side, no need to be polite," the officer said, waving his hand. "He's asleep. Try not to disturb him. We can talk about anything else tomorrow!"

"I knew it, Fei-ge is tough!" Da Bai said with a grin.

Hou Guoyu turned to look at him, joking, "Why do I sense a bit of bitterness in your smile?!"

"Sister-in-law and I are just friends, platonic soulmates!" Da Bai slapped him on the head. "I'm deeply in love with Bruna now!"

Su Tianyu walked up to A-Hua, smiling gently. "Sister-in-law, why don't you stay here to take care of him? We'll leave first!"

"Okay!" A-Hua nodded decisively. "I'll make some soup for him to drink tomorrow morning!"

"Sister-in-law is so virtuous, I want soup too!" Da Bai said, getting up.

"Get lost!" A-Hua retorted with a laugh.

Three in the morning.

Su Tianyu left Sri Lanka in a military vehicle, stopping less than three kilometers towards Dragon City.

Niu Jiao Shan (Ox Horn Mountain) was raining, but it was clear in Sri Lanka, with no standing water on the road.

Su Tianyu yawned and lit a cigarette outside the car.

About ten minutes later, three SUVs sped over. Su Tianyu waved at them.

The three cars stopped in front of him. Yu Mingyuan and Shuang Hui were the first to get out.

"Liu-zi!"

"Xiao Yu!"

"...!"

The three greeted Su Tianyu, but the latter simply nodded expressionlessly and turned back to shout, "Hou-zi, bring the man down!"

A dozen seconds later, Xue Nan, covered in blood, was dragged out of the car by Hou Guoyu. His face was wrapped in black cloth, so he couldn't see anything, and his mouth was gagged.

"Give him to them!" Su Tianyu ordered.

Hou Guoyu pushed Xue Nan over, and Kong Zheng-hui and Zhou Tong-hui caught him.

"Okay, you guys get in the car first," Yu Mingyuan said, turning back. He probably felt that it was awkward for the two of them to be standing with Su Tianyu at the moment.

"We're leaving!" Zhou Tonghui greeted.

"Yeah!" Su Tianyu replied.

"Bye-bye!" Kong Zheng-hui said, pulling Xue Nan towards the car.

Hou Guoyu looked at the two and suddenly said, "Lao Fei led the team that attacked Niu Jiao Shan, and he was the one who captured Xue Nan! He's still in the hospital now!"

Shuang Hui paused upon hearing this. He didn't respond, standing with his back to Su Tianyu, and just pulled open the car door and got in.

Su Tianyu turned to look at Yu Mingyuan, smoking his cigarette, and said, "I was thinking about Qi Qi's matter on the way here. Xue Nan is back, but that doesn't mean things are completely over."

Yu Mingyuan frowned at him. "I understand what you mean."

"Capturing Xue Nan only regained the initiative, but I don't think the Azure Clothes Bureau will easily let go of their hold on Qi Qi," Su Tianyu said expressionlessly. "At the very least, they'll drag it out until the end of the litigation period!"

"I discussed this issue with my uncle!" Yu Mingyuan nodded in response. "They certainly won't let go easily! But with Xue Nan, we've taken the initiative in the legal proceedings!"

"Tell An Zecheng that the absolute conflict in the future is in Bana City!" Su Tianyu said, frowning. "If he wants Qi Qi back as soon as possible, without going through any legal procedures, then he should focus his efforts there! It'll be easier that way!"

Yu Mingyuan was stunned.

"If he focuses his efforts there, we will definitely be the beneficiaries! So, I'm making this suggestion for myself and for Qi Qi, and nothing else," Su Tianyu added.

"Okay, I'll ask him when I get back!" Yu Mingyuan considered. "His daughter has been arrested, so even if he takes action in Bana City, it's justifiable and doesn't involve any issues of allegiance."

"That's right!" Su Tianyu nodded.

"Yeah, I'll discuss it with him when I get back!"

"I have one request!" Su Tianyu turned to look at Yu Mingyuan. "If Qi Qi comes back later, don't tell her that I helped with this!"

"Why?"

"Heh, I'm just learning from you. If you're going to cut ties, cut them cleanly!" Su Tianyu replied with a smile. "Alright, I'm leaving!"

With that, Su Tianyu walked towards the car. Yu Mingyuan watched his back and called out, "Thanks, Liu-zi!"

"No need to thank me, I got paid!" Su Tianyu waved his hand without turning around, bent down, and got into the car.

The two groups parted ways. Su Tianyu stretched languidly, yawning, and said, "If we're going to stay up all night, let's go all the way! I'm not sleeping tonight. Damn it, let's go back and count the money!"

Inside the Chi Army's financial warehouse, Su Tianyu personally led people to count all the cash and came up with a total!
