Gentle Sleep Instructor

Chapter 1659 Not a Capital Crime

“It's you!”

A murderous intent flashed in Zhu Jie’s eyes. Standing before her was a woman around forty years old, with slightly dark skin and gentle features that gave off a comfortable feeling.

The woman was named Zhang Ting, and she claimed to be a music teacher. She had disguised herself well during the mission and had even brought hot water to a frightened teammate.

Now, Tang Qisheng knew that they had been set up. This second-generation Shen Hong was waiting here for them to pave the way for her.

"Alright, you can leave now." Zhang Ting looked at them, her tone as natural as if she were in her own home.

Tang Qisheng stared at her, wary of any sudden changes. "Leave? Where to?"

"Of course, leave here, go back, go back to the world that belongs to you. That door outside is real; you should be able to feel it." Zhang Ting sighed, her attitude unusually sincere. "I don't want to hurt you. You are not inherently bad; you were just tricked onto a pirate ship. It's not a crime punishable by death."

Tang Qisheng, who was standing in front of Zhu Jie, was stunned and almost laughed. What was going on? A second-generation Shen Hong was saying that he wasn't inherently bad and was even going to let them off the hook.

"Are you okay? You're the villain, aren't you?" Zhu Jie couldn't figure out what the other party was planning. "I'll say the same to you. I think you're not inherently bad. As long as you leave quickly today, we won't be your enemy."

Hearing this, Zhang Ting's eyes darkened, and her temperament became colder. "Confused! Wang Fugui of Jiangcheng is a Shen Hong member. They do all kinds of evil and harm the innocent. Do you want to accompany them on the road to ruin?"

"Huh?" Now Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie were both confused. They initially thought that the other party was just putting on an act, but now, Zhang Ting looked completely serious, not like she was faking it.

"No, it's not that they aren't Shen Hong, but you're also Shen Hong. And, they don't seem to be heinous..."

Before she could finish speaking, Zhang Ting interrupted her roughly, "What nonsense are you talking about? You've all been brainwashed by them. I come from the Night Watcher Special Forces. The meaning of our existence is to completely eliminate Shen Hong!"

After a while, Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie understood what was happening. It seemed that Zhang Ting didn't know her true identity. She was the one who had been brainwashed. She thought she was a Night Watcher, standing on the side of justice to eliminate Shen Hong, but she didn't know that the code name the Night Watchers gave them was also Shen Hong.

The atmosphere at the scene became more and more tense, with neither side willing to back down. Zhang Ting flicked her sleeve, and a gleaming scalpel appeared in her hand.

Seeing this, Tang Qisheng kicked the indicator sign next to the elevator, and quickly turned it into a wooden stick with two rusty iron nails embedded in the front end.

After seeing Zhang Ting's actions, Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that the other party was temporarily unable to use the power of the door.

"Last chance? Go, or not?" Zhang Ting clenched the scalpel and approached them step by step.

Zhu Jie stopped Tang Qisheng, who was about to attack, and looked at Zhang Ting, who was approaching. She hesitated and said, "Are you really going to let us leave?"

"We Night Watchers keep our word. We only kill Shen Hong." Zhang Ting said without hesitation.

"Okay, then we'll go."

Zhu Jie pulled Tang Qisheng, and the two walked along one side of the wall, while on the other side, Zhang Ting watched them with a scalpel in her hand.

When the two groups were only two meters apart, Zhu Jie suddenly stopped and then, with extreme speed, pulled out an iron hook from the flowerpot at her feet.

This iron hook was originally inserted in the soil of the flowerpot. It was not large and looked like it was used for loosening the soil.

The two cooperated tacitly. Without saying a word, they rushed towards Zhang Ting from the left and right. Tang Qisheng had been accumulating power for a long time, and the wooden stick in his hand swung like the wind, the end with the iron nails smashing hard towards Zhang Ting's head.

A life-and-death struggle was a matter of survival, even if Zhang Ting was also deceived by the Night Watchers and could be considered a victim to some extent. There was no time to worry about that now.

However, Zhang Ting was clearly prepared. Her body swayed strangely, instantly dodging Tang Qisheng's attack. Just as she was about to counterattack with the scalpel, Zhu Jie's attack arrived.

Zhang Ting flipped her wrist, and the blade cut Zhu Jie's arm, while Zhu Jie's attack also landed on Zhang Ting, the not-so-sharp hook tearing her clothes and leaving three bloody marks on her shoulder.

Seeing Zhu Jie injured, Tang Qisheng's eyes instantly turned red. He raised the wooden stick in his hand and smashed it down on Zhang Ting. Zhang Ting tilted her head, barely dodging, but the wooden stick still hit her back, and the iron nails instantly pierced her flesh.

Enduring the severe pain, Zhang Ting stabbed Tang Qisheng in the back with a backhand, then quickly pulled it out and stabbed randomly at his abdomen. Tang Qisheng punched Zhang Ting in the face, his knee rising sharply, a knee strike knocking Zhang Ting down, her back slamming heavily against the wall.

However, this also exhausted Tang Qisheng's strength. He clutched his bleeding abdomen, and even though his eyes were full of unwillingness, he could only stagger and fall down.

Zhang Ting's body seemed weak, but her ability to withstand blows was much stronger than Zhu Jie's. Without Tang Qisheng's support, Zhu Jie was quickly knocked down. Her forehead was cut open by the scalpel, and thick blood blocked her vision.

Before Zhu Jie could struggle to get up, Zhang Ting arrived first and stomped hard on Zhu Jie's left wrist, breaking it while she was holding the iron hook.

At this moment, Zhang Ting was not feeling well either. She was injured in many places all over her body, with a wooden stick still hanging on her back and two iron nails stuck in her back that had not been pulled out. She gasped for breath, and a murderous intent appeared in her eyes. She looked back at Tang Qisheng. He was lying on the ground, motionless, with a pool of blood seeping out from under him.

"Qisheng!"

Zhu Jie turned her head and looked at Tang Qisheng's body. For a time, she felt completely hopeless. Fate seemed to be playing a huge joke on them. They had just seen hope, but everything had come to an abrupt end.

Zhang Ting pressed Zhu Jie's body with her knee, stabbing Zhu Jie in the leg with a knife and slowly twisting the handle. Her face, which had been hit hard, was full of ferocity. "I gave you a chance. You brought this on yourselves!"

Pulling out the knife, just as Zhang Ting was about to end Zhu Jie's life, a figure suddenly pounced from behind and knocked Zhang Ting to the ground.

"Ah... Ahhh!"

Tang Qisheng, covered in blood, strangled Zhang Ting's neck, pinning her to the ground.

Zhang Ting wanted to swing the knife to counterattack, but Zhu Jie, who had a broken leg, also pounced over, grabbed the blade with her only remaining right hand, and then opened her mouth and bit Zhang Ting's wrist holding the knife. She had never thought that she would be so crazy, almost severing Zhang Ting's tendons. After snatching the scalpel, she stabbed Zhang Ting's body frantically.

Her arm muscles tensed, and accompanied by Tang Qisheng's roar, "Crack," he broke Zhang Ting's neck.
