“Old poison bag! Do something and break through its hide already!”
At this moment, Elder Three was in a miserable state. His hands trembled slightly as he held the Clear Sky Hammer, and at some point, his cloak had been torn off and lost.
His disheveled hair clung to his sweat-soaked forehead as he stared at the still overwhelmingly aggressive and furious Titan Giant Ape.
Poison Douluo gave a grim nod, his expression solemn as he faced the enraged behemoth.
For some reason, the poison he took such pride in—his most fearsome arsenal—was having no effect whatsoever on the Titan Giant Ape!
Against any ordinary Soul Master, his toxins would strike fear into their hearts. Even though he was considered one of the weakest among the Title Douluo, his poison made him a deadly threat.
Now, despite relentlessly hurling poisonous attacks at the ape’s massive body—as if pouring everything he had while blindfolded—he achieved nothing.
What shocked Poison Douluo the most was that his most corrosive poisons couldn’t even scratch the ape's hide.
The Titan Giant Ape's body was covered in lava-colored, rock-hard armor. No matter how violently they struck, they couldn’t inflict the slightest damage.
Poison Douluo’s venom dripped across the ape like a green coat, yet even as it tried to corrode the beast’s flesh, the Titan Giant Ape regenerated faster than it was harmed.
With just a few deep breaths, the blackened areas from the poison would shine once more with glowing magma-like energy, brimming with explosive power.
Staring at the rampaging beast, Poison Douluo’s eyes flickered with uncertainty.
A sense of retreat was beginning to form in his heart.
After all, he had only come at the invitation of the Heaven Dou Empire, a temporary external supporter. He was here to help, not to die. What could be more important than his own life?
Besides… Dugu Bo still had a bond tying him back—his granddaughter.
“If I die here, what will happen to her…?”
With that thought, he turned to Elder Three and said in a deep voice,
“I have a plan that could temporarily disable the beast’s defenses.
But I’m not skilled in pure offense—I'll need your help to finish the job.”
Elder Three nodded seriously, raising his Clear Sky Hammer high as it surged with a majestic aura that soared into the sky.
“Do what you must, Poison Douluo. I’ll cover you!”
As he spoke, Elder Three shot into the air like a sword. The Clear Sky Hammer in his hand became a black streak of light as he slammed it down toward the Titan Giant Ape.
BOOM—!!
A thunderous crash echoed across the battlefield as the hammer struck the ape.
The Titan Giant Ape roared in fury in response!
Its massive palm, the size of a grinding stone, swiped with force toward the comparatively small Elder Three, generating a hurricane-force gale.
But Elder Three's eyes flashed—now was the time!
He leapt, stepping on the Titan Giant Ape’s arm to vault higher into the air. His fourth soul ring lit up brilliantly behind him.
“Heaven-Splitting Strike!!”
The Clear Sky Hammer expanded again, becoming even larger than Elder Three himself, and with a trail of dark light, it slammed viciously into the ape’s skull.
DONG!!!
A sharp, metallic clang echoed out.
The Titan Giant Ape’s eyes went blank for a moment before it clutched its head and roared furiously.
Now!
From Poison Douluo’s eyes, two beams of grayish-white energy shot out, enveloping the ape’s entire body.
“Medusa’s Gaze!!”
The Titan Giant Ape’s movements began to slow… then stiffened completely.
A gray-white substance began to spread across its enormous body.
In moments, the giant ape became a massive statue, locked mid-roar, its face twisted in a permanent snarl.
Elder Three froze, stunned by what he saw.
“This old snake... he had something like that?!
Why have I never heard of it before?”
He quickly realized—it had to be a soul bone ability!
As the weakest among the Title Douluo, Poison Douluo had still managed to remain active and feared on the continent for years. Now Elder Three finally understood how—the man had real tricks up his sleeve.
Poison Douluo’s green glow faded as he barked,
“What are you waiting for?! Finish it! We don’t have much time!”
Elder Three snapped out of it. His soul rings flared to life, and he dashed toward the immobilized ape, Clear Sky Hammer in hand.
But Poison Douluo… only watched him coldly.
Then, like a venomous serpent, his thin frame flickered—and he swiftly retreated toward the edge of the battlefield.
Lin Fan’s eyes sparkled with amusement. He smiled faintly.
“Now this... this is the real Poison Douluo.
Heheheh…”
Then, he dismissed the fleeing Douluo from his mind and turned toward Elder Three and the petrified Titan Giant Ape.
He shook his head in pity.
“Such a good idea, such a good technique…
But in the end, one misstep ruined it all.”
Naturally, Elder Three heard those words—and his heart shuddered.
He instinctively looked toward the Titan Giant Ape…
And saw a horrifying sight.
Its stone face twisted into an even more brutal expression, and its massive eyes—though frozen just moments ago—were now glowing with bloodlust, locked onto him.
“What?!”
Elder Three froze. A surge of despair and fury rose in his chest.
He spun around—but Poison Douluo was gone.
“NOOO!!”
“You bastard! Damn it all!!!”
“ROOOAAAARRRR!!!”
The Titan Giant Ape’s deafening roar shook the heavens.
Its steel-like arms lunged forward and clamped around Elder Three with crushing force.
A cruel grin spread across the ape’s face.
Then—
It roared again and ripped outward with both arms.
RIIIIIP—!!!
A spray of blood mist filled the air, completely blotting out the Titan Giant Ape’s vision.
Bright red blood drenched its body as it howled in savage triumph, beating its chest like a war drum.
A 200,000-year soul beast facing a Title Douluo…
Once it seized the advantage, there was only one outcome—death.
The Titan Giant Ape then turned its burning gaze toward the two bystanders.
In its eyes—greed, fury, and bloodlust.
