Chapter 56 Fiery Lessons

Morian.

Lu Mingming vaguely felt that this name sounded familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere, but she couldn't recall anything.

Noticing Lu Mingming's expression, Morian, relieved that she didn't suspect too much, immediately said, "Let's go in. The cubs have been waiting too long."

Lu Mingming nodded in agreement.

The small robot automatically moved aside after finishing cleaning, and the man stepped forward to push open the classroom door.

The noisy classroom suddenly fell silent. The cubs turned their little heads towards the entrance, their bright eyes fixed on the man and woman entering, their gazes locked.

Lu Mingming, who had been projecting an amiable demeanor, now wore a slightly serious and stern expression.

She and Morian walked to the podium together, getting a full view of the classroom.

As a renowned aristocratic academy, the classroom looked perfectly normal at first glance, even similar to ordinary kindergartens in the civilian sector.

Upon closer inspection, the basic amenities like a water dispenser, air conditioning, and individual storage lockers for each student were all top-tier models, some of which hadn't even been announced to the market yet.

Even the greenery responsible for refreshing the air and purifying the environment consisted of rare cultivated species worth millions from antique markets.

The seats below were scattered, with desks and chairs arranged haphazardly, some seating three, others two.

Lu Mingming counted roughly in her mind.

There were a total of six cubs; Xue Gao was not among them.

Seeing this, Lu Mingming leaned over and asked Morian, "Teacher Morian, did you see a little Samoyed report in today?"

He had been prepared for this question.

Morian's expression remained unchanged, his smile fixed. "I met it on the way just now. It didn't know the way. This cub is resting in the office now."

So that's how it is. It's good that nothing happened.

Lu Mingming breathed a sigh of relief.

Morian stepped up first as the acting homeroom teacher to introduce himself.

The moment he stood at the center of the podium, the cubs lowered their heads and continued with their own activities, chattering and playing amongst themselves, collectively ignoring him as if it were routine.

There were also very quiet snickers as they anticipated a show from the two teachers, showing no regard for the two people on stage.

Lu Mingming's heart felt like a spilled jar of mixed flavors, a tangle of emotions.

Perhaps it was because her own two well-behaved cubs had raised her expectations significantly, so when her expectations were suddenly shattered, she felt a trace of difficulty in accepting it.

Despite how the little cubs treated him, Morian did not get angry, his face maintaining its usual mask-like smile.

In reality, an invisible mental wave slowly spread from him, filling the air with the scent of burnt over a fire. Waves of heat rolled through the air, causing the condensation on the windows to evaporate completely. Sunlight finally broke through the obstructions and shone into the classroom.

In a corner, a cub tore its homework into pieces and folded them into paper airplanes, flying them around.

Suddenly, the white paper in his hand ignited. The child, startled, retreated repeatedly, screams filling the entire classroom. Ashes of the remaining paper drifted in the air.

An invisible wall of fire appeared in the center of the boisterous, chattering group. Furry animals, fearful of fire, cautiously drew themselves inward, afraid of catching even a spark.

For a moment, all the cubs were confined by the flames, firmly trapped in their seats.

Lu Mingming, without activating her spiritual power, could not see the blue flames filling the classroom.

But from the inexplicably rising temperature, she knew that Morian must have done something, causing the unruly cubs to become obedient out of resentment and fear.

So powerful... Is this spiritual power?

Lu Mingming secretly glanced at Morian's profile.

Although the man's face held a smile, his eyes seemed to be filled with the ice of ten thousand years, cold and unfathomably deep.

Sensing Lu Mingming's gaze, his eyes quickly melted and became incredibly gentle.

"What's wrong?"

Astonished by Morian's rapid change, she tried to suppress her thoughts and replied with a forced smile, "Nothing."

Morian's eyes darkened. He turned his head and continued to manage the little ones, acting as if nothing had happened.

Seeing his little subordinates trembling in fear of the flames, the troublemaking chubby boy was naturally displeased.

He stepped forward, pointed at Morian's nose, and threatened, "Who are you, daring to threaten us? Do you believe I won't have my father immediately arrest you and throw you into the alliance prison to spend the rest of your life in agony?"

Morian's expression remained unchanged as he extended a large hand, steadily enclosing the little boy's hand.

Even though the latter struggled with all his might to break free, he couldn't escape the pressure and restraint exerted by the man.

"Let go! Let go of me! I am Grey Blue, the second son of Count Goodfin!"

The little boy struggled to shake off the man's hand, his expression contorted in ferocity.

Morian calmly said, "You are welcome to report me to your father. You did something wrong to your teacher and do not admit your mistakes. I will confirm that he is an irresponsible man with no integrity, not a true man.

Furthermore, I believe Count Goodfin has taught you how to identify spiritual power levels. Guess if I am just an ordinary teacher? In front of honored scholars and ignorant children, who will your father choose?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Morian released his hand.

The chubby boy quickly rubbed his sore and swollen wrist, shot Morian a fierce glare, and then, suppressing his anger, returned to his seat.

He was impulsive, but not foolish; he knew what was important.

With Morian's opening, Lu Mingming's self-introduction became much smoother.

The entire class of cubs quieted down, their faces full of grievance as they waited for Lu Mingming to speak.

"Hello, everyone. I am Lu Mingming, your intern childcare provider for these three days off. I've brought you a welcome gift today."

Following this, Lu Mingming distributed the candied hawthorn berries she had carefully prepared the previous day to each student.

Before coming, she had diligently researched items that would leave a good impression on the children.

Candied hawthorn berries were Lu Mingming's favorite thing as a child, and now she wanted to share this sweetness with the cubs.

A few cubs who were unwilling had to behave and accept Lu Mingming's gift under the threat of the approaching flames.

There were a total of six students in the class, and seven with the resting Samoyed. Of course, Lu Mingming did not forget to give one to Morian, inviting him to taste her craftsmanship.

One playing the tough cop, the other playing the good cop, they ended this "battle" with the cubs.

The little ones held the candied hawthorn berries in their small hands, their expressions quite puzzled.

They had eaten too many delicacies since they were young, with all sorts of rare ingredients readily available at their beck and call.

In the cubs' eyes, this so-called candied hawthorn berry was merely a large strawberry coated in syrup, and its packaging was just a plain white paper shell. Was this the best food from the slums?

No one dared to try this "poisonous object" readily.

In the silence, Morian tore open the packaging and popped the candied hawthorn berry into his mouth in front of everyone.

The entire class's eyes suddenly focused on the man, anticipating his reaction after eating it.
