Chapter 65 Fiery Villain's Metamorphosis (65)

The phone rang for a long time without being answered. At first, it showed no one was picking up, and then it was directly switched off.

As more time passed, Wei Jingzhou became increasingly anxious.

He speculated that perhaps Shen Yue was angry because he hadn't answered her call, and that was why she wasn't picking up, or maybe her phone had run out of battery and turned off.

Even though he thought this, a strange sense of unease lingered in his heart, preventing him from waiting any longer.

Wei Jingzhou had installed a tracking device on Shen Yue’s phone, allowing him to locate her position at any time.

While driving, Wei Jingzhou did not stop trying to call, but he still couldn't get through.

"Damn it! Answer the damn phone!" Wei Jingzhou kept calling, inwardly begging, his heart consumed by urgency.

The journey was quite long, and with the snow, there was also some traffic congestion. By the time Wei Jingzhou found the location, over an hour had passed.

However, he still couldn't see Shen Yue’s figure by the roadside.

Following the tracking device, Wei Jingzhou finally found the phone on the lawn.

A thick sense of panic washed over him. Wei Jingzhou's fingers trembled as he held the damaged phone, and he shakily called his subordinate.

"Send me Shen Yue’s exact location immediately, and hurry!"

The last two words were almost a roar.

Wei Jingzhou pressed the corners of his eyes forcefully, trying to calm himself down.

Shen Yue must have encountered some danger. Those two calls she made were to ask for his help, but! But he had smashed the phone!

Regret and unease had overwhelmed his rational mind, preventing him from thinking clearly.

What felt like a few minutes seemed to stretch out into an eternity.

Shen Yue was so weak, so beautiful, and looked so easily bullied. If… if…

Just the mere thought made the man’s eyes turn red.

The phone rang, and Wei Jingzhou answered it with the urgency of someone grasping at the last straw.

"Hello, Mr. Wei, our investigation found that Miss Shen attended the Tang family's birthday banquet this afternoon, but she left halfway. The young master of the Tang family said he hired a driver to take her back. However, the driver said Miss Shen eventually got into the Bai family young master's car. We've checked Mr. Bai’s license plate, and he is currently at Wujiang International Hotel, on the 19th floor."

Having obtained the exact location, Wei Jingzhou promptly hung up the phone, slammed on the accelerator, and his car shot forward like a sharp blade.

Bai Bo! Bai Bo!

The man’s eyes widened, bloodshot, his fingers turning pale as he gripped the steering wheel.

But more than anger, it was fear that consumed him. His heart was in a chaotic mess, and his back was drenched in sweat, despite it being winter.

A manager was already waiting at the entrance. Seeing Wei Jingzhou approach, he was about to bow respectfully.

But he was startled by the man's somber expression as he entered.

"Room card!"

The manager, hands trembling, immediately handed over the room card.

Wei Jingzhou snatched the card and rushed towards the elevator, frantically pressing the button to summon it.

Upon reaching the nineteenth floor, Wei Jingzhou ran out, his expression anxious, panting heavily.

"Beep—"

The door was pushed open with force.

Standing at the doorway, Wei Jingzhou froze, his expression draining away. He stared in shock at the scene unfolding in the room—

The room was well-heated. On the bed lay two figures. The girl's exposed arms were covered in alarming bruises and marks.

The man on the bed, disturbed by the commotion, propped himself up on his head and looked at Wei Jingzhou standing outside the door with cold eyes.

Wei Jingzhou slowly walked in, parted his lips, and uttered with a tremor, "Yueyue." Then, his throat felt as if it were pierced by a needle, causing him such pain that he couldn't utter another word.

The girl also woke up. She blinked blankly at first, then, as she realized what was happening, she let out a scream, covering herself with the blanket, trembling like a feather floating in the air.

Bai Bo casually put on his clothes, while Wei Jingzhou seemed unable to process what he was seeing.

He felt as though his eyes were being stabbed by the sight. The tightly strung nerves in his mind suddenly snapped. A wild and violent emotion surged to the crown of his head, rendering his vision blood-red.

He wanted to reach out to the trembling girl, but the already fragile girl was so frightened that she started crying.

"Don't come near… don't come near…"

It exploded in his mind like a bomb. The man glared with bloodshot eyes and roared, "How dare you?! How dare you do this to her!!!"

At that moment, the anger in Wei Jingzhou's mind seemed to ignite, burning through all his rational nerves.

Like a enraged lion, he grabbed Bai Bo by the collar: "How could you do this to her!!!"

Facing the man's murderous expression, Bai Bo remained surprisingly calm. He even managed a playful smile and said, "Why not? She's just a slut. What's wrong with me playing around?"

With such a dismissive tone used against the person he cherished above all else, Wei Jingzhou could barely contain the ferocious rage within him. His mouth filled with a bloody taste. "Who gave you permission to talk about her like that!"

The person he held so dear, whom he dared not even touch too roughly, was being trampled upon, torn apart, and toyed with at someone else's whim.

Bai Bo's smile faded, and a deep resentment and desire for revenge appeared in his eyes. Looking at Wei Jingzhou's contorted, grimacing face, he actually felt a sense of satisfaction.

"Did I say something wrong? Isn't she? Wei Jingzhou, do you still want such a slut?"

Wei Jingzhou's fists clenched, his knuckles cracking. Veins bulged on his forehead. "Are you looking to die?"

Bai Bo offered a lingering smile. He looked at the trembling girl on the bed, his sinister grin laced with seduction.

"Not to mention, her taste is quite good, very…"

Wei Jingzhou's body trembled uncontrollably, the muscles in his arms tensed. Before Bai Bo could finish speaking, Wei Jingzhou, like a maddened beast, lunged at him, wildly swinging his fists and roaring, "I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"

Bai Bo reacted quickly, narrowly dodging a punch. The two adult men began to tear at each other like wild beasts, each ounce of strength exerted as if they wished to kill the other.

It didn't even resemble a fight; it was more like a slaughter, a desperate attempt to end the other's life, to erase their very existence from the world, as if they were sworn enemies.
