Chapter 11 Lost Once

Gu Susu opened her large, beautiful eyes and looked at the demonic face before her, her heart pounding with nervousness.

Qin Tianyi's lips curved into an arc, his eyes holding a subtle danger.

"What happened while I was gone?"

"Nothing..."

"Lying! Haven't I satisfied you yet? Did you go hook up with my brother?" Qin Tianyi questioned in a low voice, his thoughts running wild as he drew closer to her.

Gu Susu hurriedly explained, "I didn't, it's not like that, it was him... he wanted to... he wanted to assault me!"

Qin Tianyi firmly held the struggling Gu Susu, narrowing his eyes. "No one here will believe you. Everyone will believe my brother. They'll say you seduced him and then broke his head."

"If I actively showed him favor, why would I break his head? Don't you Qin family members have brains? That's completely contradictory." Gu Susu stared at him fearlessly, finding it amusing.

As Qin Tianyi lowered his head to kiss her lips, he suddenly moved away, coldly whispering in her ear, "No one here uses their brains. They all rely on their mother and son to twist the truth, and that includes my father, who will only believe what they say."

Gu Susu gasped, realizing Qin Tianyi was telling the truth.

The arrogance Qin Lang displayed towards her showed the status of him and his mother in the Qin family. If the head of the family, Qin Zhaoye, also only believed them, then she would be unable to defend herself.

"You know to be scared now?" Qin Tianyi pinched her chin, saying ruthlessly, "I can't help you. You caused this yourself, so you have to solve it yourself."

Gu Susu pushed him away forcefully, her gaze determined. "I know. I won't implicate you."

Who had she relied on since childhood? She had once fantasized about having dependable relatives, but cruel reality had taught her that those she placed her hopes on and harbored illusions about were the ones who hurt her the most.

She had long believed in relying on herself and not expecting anything from anyone.

"That's good." Qin Tianyi released her, his gaze incidentally falling on the jade bracelet on her left wrist. This was the most cherished item his grandmother had worn since marrying into the Qin family.

He unbuttoned his collar and shifted his gaze away from her, abruptly asking, "I'm very curious, what did you use to smash his head?"

Gu Susu no longer indulged in self-pity. She was no longer a delicate girl; she had experienced more unbearable and desperate things than this. Even if the sky fell, she would rely on herself and face it fearlessly.

"A wine bottle."

"Very good, ruthless enough." Qin Tianyi could feel the immense strength hidden within her slender body and couldn't help but show a look of admiration.

Gu Susu didn't see his expression. She was frowning, thinking about how to face the impending storm alone.

Qin Tianyi, without any hesitation, took off his shirt and walked into the bathroom without another word, letting the cold water wash over his entire body.

The heat within him seemed to cool down. He wiped the water droplets from his face with his hands and stood before the mirror, gazing at his exceptionally handsome face and his chiseled muscles. He had always disdained being moved by any woman.

Xiao Anjing had taken him to all sorts of disreputable places and arranged various women for him, but he had no interest in any of them, except for one time years ago when he had lost control.

He couldn't even remember the girl's appearance when he woke up. In his dazed and chaotic state, he vaguely recalled a fleeting glimpse of fair skin and a pleasant, youthful scent.

The girl beside him had vanished by morning, like an unspeakable dream.

Last night, when the drunken Susu had wrapped her arms around his neck, he seemed to have smelled that familiar scent again, which was why he had lost control for a moment.

Qin Tianyi couldn't help but shake his head, telling himself to be rational. He attributed everything to a delusion, blaming his momentary loss of control on the intense restraint he had exercised for years while feigning madness.

It was only yesterday, with a wife by his side and a legitimate outlet for his desires, that he had lost control.

He turned away indifferently and walked under the shower, letting the cold water continue to cascade over his strong body.
