Chapter 749 Unappreciated

Susu scrambled up from the ground, only able to let Tianyi sleep on the floor as she couldn't move him.

She went to the bathroom, wrung out a hot towel, and used it to wipe Tianyi's face. Then, she took a pillow from the bed and placed it behind his head.

After that, she tiptoed out of the bedroom and went to the kitchen downstairs to make a hangover tea.

Sophie, who had been hiding in the corner of the living room, immediately returned to her own room.

She had heard everything Qin Tianyi and Susu had said at the door.

After leaving the studio, Susu hadn't gone to see a client at all, but had gone to accompany Lan Yu, Xiao Anjing's wife.

She didn't understand why Susu had lied to her.

How long had Susu known Lan Yu? Their acquaintance couldn't compare to Susu's friendship with her. It seemed Susu was starting to find her bothersome.

No wonder Susu had been arranging blind dates for her these past few days, not wanting her to stay here anymore.

Her heart ached, and she couldn't help but sweep everything on the bedside table onto the floor.

Susu sat on a chair in the kitchen, watching the hangover tea brew in the health pot. She thought about Secretary Zhan's appearance at the mall.

In the past, Secretary Zhan had relied on her work ability to get ahead by her father's side. Now, she had completely given up on herself, relying on her youth and body.

She took out her phone and curiously searched online for the "Manager Zhao" that Lan Yu had mentioned, wondering what kind of person he was.

He was the CEO of a large real estate group, named Zhao Jianhua.

The search results online were all about his arduous entrepreneurial journey and his legendary achievements in the real estate industry, along with some photos of Zhao Jianhua and his wife.

From the photos, they seemed very affectionate. His wife looked like a woman with a mature charm that came from experience.

The internet said that his wife had pulled a flatbed cart with him at the construction site when he was penniless. They had worked hard together to start the business, and she was also a vice president in the group.

Susu was engrossed in her phone when Sophie spoke, "Susu, the tea is ready, should I turn it off?"

Susu immediately looked up and turned off the health pot, almost burning her hand on the pot.

"Why aren't you asleep yet? You startled me."

Sophie glanced at the content on her phone and quickly asked, "Did you get burned?"

"Just about." Susu saw that Sophie was wearing a thin nightgown that perfectly outlined her figure and curves. Her first thought was relief that Tianyi wasn't the one in the kitchen.

Sophie rubbed her eyes, looking drowsy, and said, "I went to bed early, but I suddenly woke up and felt thirsty, so I came to the kitchen to heat up some milk."

Susu poured the brewed tea into a cup and said, "Then heat up your milk quickly. Be careful not to catch a cold wearing so little."

Sophie glanced at her own slip nightgown and seemed to fully wake up. "Ah, why did I come out wearing this? I have an outer layer, I'll go back to my room and put it on."

Susu picked up the cup and smiled, "No need. It's late, and everyone is asleep, so no one will see. Heat up your milk, drink it, and go to bed early."

"Who is this tea for? It's so late, can you even sleep after drinking such strong tea?" Sophie asked quickly as Susu was about to leave, "How did your meeting with the client go tonight?"

Susu walked out of the kitchen and said helplessly, "It was okay. This tea is for Tianyi to help him sober up; he got drunk. You go to the studio yourself tomorrow morning. Tonight, I have to take care of this drunkard, and we definitely won't be able to get up too early tomorrow. Goodnight."

Sophie watched Susu walk away quickly. She could feel that even though Susu was complaining, it was a sweet complaint. At this moment, she couldn't help but fantasize that she was the one taking care of the drunken Qin Tianyi.

She imagined herself in the bedroom upstairs, slowly unbuttoning Qin Tianyi's shirt, her fingers sliding over his firm muscles.

Qin Tianyi, half-drunk and half-awake, stared at her with a confused yet clear gaze, calling her name.

She held the hangover tea, letting him drink it, her hair brushing against his face inadvertently.

He whispered in her ear, "Feed me."

She sat up straight beside him and took a mouthful of tea, offering it to him.

Just as their lips were about to touch, she suddenly felt a chill and sneezed, waking up instantly.

It wasn't a warm bedroom, there was no Qin Tianyi, only herself standing alone in the large kitchen.

She hugged herself forlornly. What was the use of wearing beautiful clothes if no one appreciated them?

She didn't want a title or status. She just wanted to stay by Qin Tianyi and Susu's side forever. Qin Tianyi didn't need to be as good to her as he was to Susu; he just needed to give her a little bit of his love.

What should she do so that she and Susu could stay sisters and share the same man for a lifetime?

On her way back to the bedroom, Susu wondered if she was overthinking things.

Sophie had her own room. It was her freedom to wear less when she slept at night, and going to the kitchen for water in the middle of the night was just a coincidence.

But why did she feel a sense of wariness towards Sophie? Why did she connect Sophie's attire with Tianyi?

What was wrong with her? She shouldn't suspect anyone, least of all Tianyi of having anything with Sophie.

She couldn't help but shake her head, trying to dismiss these wild thoughts, and hurried back to the room to take care of the person still lying on the floor.

...

Lan Yu had just said goodbye to Susu. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Qin Tianyi's driver helping Xiao Anjing stand at their doorstep.

The driver kept asking Xiao Anjing, "Mr. Xiao, what is the password? Everything you're saying is wrong, and if we enter it incorrectly again, the door will be locked."

Xiao Anjing couldn't stand up at all, relying entirely on the driver, Xiao Lin. He mumbled incoherently, "It won't... it won't be wrong again, two eight four eight... three five..."

"Are you sure? Then I'll try entering it again..."

"Wait, he's not saying it right. Let me do it." Lan Yu stopped Xiao Lin and walked to the door, opening it with her fingerprint.

As soon as Xiao Lin saw her, he looked like he had seen a savior. He helped Xiao Anjing inside and placed him on the sofa in the living room, saying, "Mrs. Xiao, thank goodness you're back. Otherwise, I think I would have had to take Mr. Xiao to a hotel. He's too drunk."

"Thank you." Lan Yu saw Xiao Anjing sitting on the sofa like a puddle of mud. After only a few seconds, he slumped to one side.

"You're welcome. I'll be going now."

Lan Yu saw Xiao Lin out the door and closed it. She wondered if Qin Tianyi knew they had argued, that he had sent the driver to bring him back.

She put down the shopping bags she was holding and had no choice but to sit beside him. First, she helped him take off his coat and shoes, and unbuttoned the collar of his shirt so he could lie more comfortably.

Just as she was about to see if there was anything at home to help with the hangover, Xiao Anjing suddenly groaned, "Water, I want water..."

Lan Yu immediately poured a glass of water and helped him drink some by supporting his head.

Seeing that he seemed a little better, she looked around for something to help with the hangover, but there was no hangover medicine or tea stocked at home.

Lan Yu went back to the sofa and saw that he wasn't completely unconscious yet. She said to him, "Are you feeling very unwell? Can you still walk? Should I take you to the hospital?"

"No." Xiao Anjing closed his eyes and waved his hand. These two words were spoken with powerful conviction.
