"Old bat?"
What did that mean?
Was Jiang Quanshui telling everyone Dula Bide's nickname? Or his pet name?
"Clarify what you mean," Old Wang asked inexplicably.
"Actually, I think Long Aotian's words had a double meaning. The 'old bat' he mentioned is definitely more than just a name." Jiang Quanshui recalled Long Aotian's previous words and felt something was off.
But he couldn't pinpoint what. That's why he brought it up with everyone.
These few were quick-witted, perhaps they could figure out what it meant.
Jack Ma had been deep in thought and hadn't spoken. Dula Bide was from Europe, from Great Britain no less, a Duke. It was unlikely he'd have such a nickname.
Furthermore, Dula Bide was a cultivator. It was said that in the West, there was a type of vampire that lived amongst mortals.
Weren't vampires also called bats?
Even if he didn't know, movies had depicted it.
As for the others, they hadn't thought in that direction at all, not connecting vampires with bats when considering the matter.
Only Jack Ma had considered this possibility.
"I think I might have guessed something," Jack Ma suddenly exclaimed.
"Quick, tell us," Old Wang urged.
"Perhaps Long Aotian was hinting at something, hinting that Dula Bide isn't human," Jack Ma analyzed rapidly.
"Holy cow, you're actually right! Long Aotian did say something like that. He said Old Bide isn't human."
When Long Aotian had said that before, Jiang Quanshui had thought he was just insulting someone.
Now that he thought about it, it didn't seem like that at all; he wasn't insulting anyone.
"That makes sense. Old Bide isn't human," Jack Ma confirmed after getting Old Wang's affirmation.
"Not human? Is he a ghost or something?" Old Wang blinked.
"Really not human?"
Jiang Quanshui was dumbfounded. He had slept in the same room with him for a night.
"What the hell..."
"To be precise, he's a vampire," Jack Ma was now almost certain of Dula Bide's identity.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Quanshui suddenly felt a chill run down his neck.
"You've got to be kidding me!"
"No wonder Long Aotian had spoken so confidently, saying that once I knew his true identity, I would obediently go out with him."
"Now that I know, I'd rather take a beating than be alone in Dula Bide's room!"
Jiang Quanshui felt an urge to curse.
"This Dula Bide is incredibly well-hidden!"
"Huh?"
"Holy cow!"
"Oh my god!"
"This is unbelievable."
Everyone exclaimed in surprise upon hearing this, realizing that Dula Bide wasn't human.
"Should we tell Young Master Xia about this immediately?" Lei Ming said quickly.
Lei Ming wasn't very clear about Xia Feng's identity. The fact that he said this was out of concern.
"No need. Young Master Xia is his master. Wouldn't Young Master Xia already know?" Jack Ma waved his hand, indicating it wasn't necessary to notify him.
"That's true. Then doesn't that mean Young Master Xia is even more powerful?" Lei Ming asked in astonishment.
The others looked at him as if he were an idiot. "You just stated the obvious."
"If he weren't more powerful than Dula Bide, how could he be his master?"
"I think it should be fine. It's just our fear of vampires. Young Master Xia might not have said anything for that reason," Penguin Ma analyzed.
"Mm, you've said something sensible today. Just like that," Jack Ma said, simultaneously praising and teasing Penguin Ma.
"Hmph!" Penguin Ma snorted.
"Then should we give Lin'er and the other girls a heads-up, just so they're mentally prepared? My Yuqin is terrified of these things," Penguin Ma added.
He was now showing concern for his own daughter.
"I think we should pretend we don't know anything. Young Master Xia has met him before, why are you all worrying? Say nothing, do nothing, just act like nothing happened."
Jack Ma found their worry about nothing quite amusing.
"What is this place?"
"This is Xia Feng's territory. Does Xia Feng not know everything?"
"That's right. I'm overthinking things," Penguin Ma smiled at Jack Ma with rare sincerity.
"Everyone can pretend nothing happened, but Jiang Quanshui can't. Just thinking about sharing a room with him makes Jiang Quanshui feel scared."
"Fortunately, Old Peter is familiar with me, otherwise, would he have tried to suck my blood?"
"From now on, I'll never go to his room again, no matter what. No wonder the room was so neat and odorless."
"A neat and odorless room. It's either a sissy, gay, or not human."
Jiang Quanshui shivered, a cold chill running down his spine.
Jiang Quanshui thought to himself: "From now on, I can't call Little Long anymore, or I'll have no one to protect me."
Otherwise, he'd be beaten black and blue by Long Aotian.
"Forget it, let's not talk about this anymore. As long as everyone knows," Jiang Quanshui, having initiated the topic, brought it to a close.
In the study on the second floor.
Old Huang looked at Xia Feng earnestly and said, "Xia Feng, seeing you like this, I am very happy."
Old Huang's words were from the bottom of his heart.
When Xia Feng came out of seclusion, they had been very worried.
They feared Xia Feng would disregard laws and behave recklessly. They hadn't expected Xia Feng's love for China to exceed their expectations.
He was a true guardian of China, prioritizing China in everything.
"Old Huang, let's put aside our identities. We are all descendants of Yan Huang, all Chinese, so naturally, we must contribute our strength to China."
Xia Feng smiled and waved his hand.
"You are right. Everyone is contributing their strength to the prosperity of China. You deserve the title of China's Guardian God. With you protecting China, we old men can rest easy."
Old Huang praised Xia Feng generously.
From any perspective, Xia Feng deserved the title of China's Guardian God.
With a mountain like Xia Feng guarding China, foreign powers would have no chance of harboring ill intentions towards China.
This was deterrence, the deterrence that came from Xia Feng.
It was like in the early days of the nation; the atomic bomb was the deterrence.
"Old Huang, please don't praise me so much. You have dedicated your lives to China. I am merely doing what I can."
Xia Feng said humbly. This was the responsibility and obligation of every Chinese person.
"Haha... we are all getting old. With you in China, we are also at ease," Old Li said with a smile.
With such a formidable figure around, they were indeed at ease.
Before, when Xia Feng emerged, they were worried he might act wildly, and they would be unable to restrain him.
That was what troubled them.
After all, for someone like a celestial being, what use were mortal restraints?
It was absurd.
At the lowest strata of society, the law always served the powerful and the wealthy.
Although China had been addressing this issue, for every one that was caught, another would emerge.
In recent years, under high-pressure measures, things had improved considerably compared to a few years ago.
Overall, China was a country with a high sense of happiness.
As Chinese citizens, everyone could be proud.
