Chapter 75 Huang Dawei in Trouble!

"How did Wan Yunting end up here?"

Chen Tao's expression shifted slightly. He didn't care why Wan Yunting was beating up Zhang Yongrui and the others, but rather how that fellow had appeared here!

"We don't know."

Zhang Yongrui and Wang Mengyao shook their heads.

Chen Tao's brow furrowed. Wan Yunting's sudden appearance was like an alarm bell, making him feel vigilant.

"You should all go back quickly," Chen Tao said, waving his hand since Zhang Yongrui and the others truly didn't know.

Then, Zhang Yongrui leaned down and whispered to Chen Tao in the car, "Mr. Chen, I'd like to bring them over to your place tomorrow night for some fun."

Chen Tao knew this kid also used drugs and had asked him for supplies before. Seeing Zhang Yongrui gesture to the men and women standing by the roadside behind him, he immediately recognized Wang Mengyao: "The second young lady of the Wang family!"

"Mr. Chen, can we?" Zhang Yongrui asked with a sly grin.

Chen Tao smirked, "If you want to play, go ahead. Just remember, don't break the rules!"

"Understood," Zhang Yongrui said excitedly.

Chen Tao nodded and then drove back towards the city.

However, Wan Yunting's appearance was no accident; it meant that guy was investigating him!

Chen Tao's eyes darkened. He had to be wary of Wan Yunting now, lest he ruin his plans. He took out his phone and called to have his villa staff stay alert, not letting any strangers get within half a step...

He soon returned to the city and went directly to the First People's Hospital.

"Mr. Chen, you're here."

Outside the emergency room, besides Ma Xin, Huang Dawei's wife was also present. His parents had been contacted and were rushing to Huadu from their hometown...

"What's going on? Dawei was fine, how did he suddenly fall ill?" Chen Tao asked sternly.

"I'm not sure," Ma Xin shook his head. "Dawei and I were having dinner with some clients, and we hadn't even had two drinks when he suddenly collapsed."

Chen Tao glared at him, then the emergency room door opened, and doctors and nurses came out. Huang Dawei's wife immediately rushed forward, "Doctor, how is my husband? What illness does he have?"

The attending physician shook his head and sighed, "The patient has suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage!"

"What, cerebral hemorrhage?" Chen Tao and Ma Xin were shocked.

The doctor nodded and said, "Fortunately, you brought him here in time, and he was rescued. However, he is still not out of danger, and his condition is very serious. It's uncertain if he will wake up!"

"Doctor, what do you mean?" Huang Dawei's wife burst into tears.

"It means he might very well end up in a vegetative state!"

"What, vegetative state..." Ma Xin was stunned and looked at Chen Tao beside him. Chen Tao's face was grim; this was too sudden!

"Wuwu, husband..." Huang Dawei's wife was so frightened she collapsed onto the ground, crying. Ma Xin helped her up and sat her to the side.

"What caused the cerebral hemorrhage?" Chen Tao asked.

The doctor shook his head, "There are many reasons for a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. Based on the patient's condition, it might be due to drinking too much, coupled with poor physical fitness and lack of regular exercise!"

"Nonsense, I drink frequently too, and I don't get cerebral hemorrhages," Ma Xin said indignantly. Chen Tao, however, waved him silent and asked the doctor seriously, "Besides these, are there any other reasons? For example, was it induced?"

"Induced?" The doctor seemed confused by his meaning and shook his head, "Impossible. His condition is a normal cerebral hemorrhage; there's no way it could have been induced."

"I understand, thank you, Doctor." Chen Tao nodded, and the attending physician left after confirming there was nothing else.

"Mr. Chen, you don't think Dawei was harmed by someone, do you?" Ma Xin asked, astonished. Chen Tao's eyes, hidden behind his gold-rimmed glasses, were dark. He asked, "Did you see Wan Yunting tonight?"

"No," Ma Xin shook his head. Chen Tao was puzzled and murmured, "Could I be overthinking things?"

"Mr. Chen, even if Wan Yunting has the ability, he couldn't possibly cause a healthy person to suddenly have a cerebral hemorrhage!" Ma Xin didn't believe Wan Yunting had such great capabilities. "Perhaps it's just Dawei drinking too much from social obligations, leading to his physical problems."

"Yes, I understand. Take good care of Dawei here," Chen Tao waved him away and turned to leave. He took out his phone and called, "A Tai, come to the city immediately. I have something for you to handle!"

The next morning, Wan Yunting arrived at the Traditional Chinese Medicine department for work as usual. As soon as he went upstairs, he heard Fang Shoushan's voice from Jiang Yichun's office. When he went to look, he saw Fang Yanxi was also there.

"Little Wan is here." Fang Shoushan saw Wan Yunting and immediately beckoned him in. Fang Yanxi turned her head, her pretty face placid, and nodded at him as a form of greeting.

Wan Yunting smiled and did the same, then walked in and said to Fang Shoushan with a smile, "Old man, why have you come?"

"Haha, I came to have my leg checked. Do you still need to use acupuncture?" Fang Shoushan patted his own legs. He no longer needed a wheelchair.

"Okay, I'll give you a follow-up examination." Wan Yunting sat down and examined his legs carefully. Fang Yanxi stood by, watching silently.

"Old man, your legs have recovered very well. You don't need acupuncture treatment anymore. Just continue taking the prescription I gave you last time, and you'll be fine after this month," Wan Yunting said with a smile after the examination.

"Good, good, I'll listen to you," Fang Shoushan nodded with a smile, then pointed at Fang Yanxi, "By the way, Yanxi caught a chill last night. I asked her to come and see you as well."

Wan Yunting paused and looked at Fang Yanxi, "Let me feel your pulse."

Fang Yanxi nodded. Fang Shoushan smiled, "Little Wan, take her to your consultation room."

"Alright." Wan Yunting nodded and smiled at Fang Yanxi, "Follow me."

Fang Yanxi said nothing, nodded to Jiang Yichun and her grandfather, and then followed Wan Yunting out. Jiang Yichun, who saw through everything, rolled her eyes and looked at Fang Shoushan, who had a sly smile on his face, knowing exactly what he was thinking.

"Sit here for a moment, I'm going to wash my hands." Back in his consultation room, Wan Yunting asked Fang Yanxi to sit down. He went to the restroom to wash his hands and then put on his white coat. He returned to his chair and smiled at Fang Yanxi sitting opposite him, "Extend your hand, let me feel your pulse."

Fang Yanxi nodded, said nothing, and extended her delicate hand, turning it over. Wan Yunting placed a pulse pillow beneath it and placed three fingers on her wrist pulse, examining her pulse carefully. At the same time, he said, "Stick out your tongue so I can see it."

Fang Yanxi did as she was told, unnaturally extending her tongue. Wan Yunting looked at her tongue coating, "Your tongue coating is slightly yellowish, a bit dry and cracked. Do you have a headache, or symptoms like sneezing?"

"A little," Fang Yanxi nodded in response. Wan Yunting then withdrew his hand, "It's nothing, just a common cold. But you should pay more attention in the future and don't stay up so late. I'll prescribe some medicine for you now. Take it home and drink it with water twice, and you'll be fine."

"Okay," Fang Yanxi nodded. Wan Yunting took out paper, a pen, and ink and wrote her a prescription for a cold. Since it wasn't serious, a few herbs brewed with water would suffice.

"Brother Yunting..."

Just then, Su Ke'er walked in, but she saw Fang Yanxi sitting in front of Wan Yunting, "There's a patient."

Wan Yunting, who had just finished writing the prescription, looked up and smiled at her, "Why are you here?"

"To bring you breakfast," Su Ke'er said, entering with the breakfast she was holding. She walked around Fang Yanxi and placed the breakfast in front of Wan Yunting, "Cheung fun, xiaolongbao, and soy milk. Eat up."

This scene caused Fang Yanxi to frown slightly. She glanced at Su Ke'er a couple of times, remaining silent. Wan Yunting glanced at her, then turned to Su Ke'er and smiled, "Didn't I tell you not to bother bringing me breakfast?"
