Chapter 341: Chapter 334: I’ll Fight in Your Place
Li Junji woke up the still-comatose Lady Liu, handed her a stack of money, told her to take a cab home on her own, while he eagerly followed Sisi and the others to enjoy the excitement. Lady Liu was so angry that she stomped her feet, but there was nothing she could do. Glancing at the several hundred dollars in her hand, she felt somewhat relieved.
"Sisi, could Feifei get into trouble?" Mo Liu was really worried.
He had once witnessed two black boxers fighting, one black and one Thai, it was incredibly bloody and brutal. In the end, the shorter Thai won, leaving the black fighter mangled; he died right on the spot. But the Thai wasn’t in good shape either, with a broken leg and hand.
That year he was only 12 years old. It was his great-uncle who had taken him to see the fight. After witnessing it, he couldn’t bear the sight of anything red for half a month, even the sight of ketchup made him want to vomit.
"I don’t know, let’s take it one step at a time!" Sisi said with a furrowed brow, thankfully it was their own boxing ring, so there was no fear of people causing trouble behind their backs.
The boxing ring wasn’t far from where they dined; it took them only a few minutes to arrive. Qiao Xingbang parked the car and then led Sisi and the others nonchalantly inside, where the people watching the arena respectfully called him ’Second Young Master.’
It seemed that a match had just ended on stage. The air was filled with the stench of blood and the sweat odor of the audience, it didn’t smell good at all. Sisi only frowned, as she had smelled far worse on the battlefield, so she was not too bothered by this. Mo Liu, on the other hand, covered his nose with his hand, looking pale. Sisi pulled out some cooling oil from her bag and handed it to Mo Liu.
Mo Liu hurriedly applied some to his philtrum and felt more comfortable, gratefully smiling at Sisi.
They went to Fei’s office. Fei seemed to be meeting someone, a young man of average appearance with a lean build and medium height, an ordinary person at first glance.
But with one look, Sisi knew he must be a soldier, moreover, a soldier with a special forces background.
Of course, Sisi only noticed the soldier’s aura from his body; it was Zhang Jie who whispered about the special forces in her ear. The voice was very soft, but the man also heard it, slightly lifted his head, and scanned them before lowering his gaze again.
"Ah Jin, taking sudden leave like this makes it difficult for me. I had already arranged for you to fight that Thai tonight, the news has been spread, the money has been collected, but now you tell me you can’t fight. What do you want me to do? Should I personally step in?" Fei’s tone was not very good.
"Brother Fei, I know I’m at fault, but I’ve got news of Ah Rou, I have to go find her. Once I’ve found Ah Rou, I will come back to fight." Ah Jin’s tone was very firm.
"You fight tonight, and you can go find that Ah Rou tomorrow. Won’t that solve both issues?" Fei also softened his voice.
"No, I came to Hong Kong to find Ah Rou, now that I finally have news of her, I don’t want to delay."
Seeing Fei’s unhappy expression, Ah Jin also felt some guilt. After all, he was indeed in the wrong, but he hadn’t expected the sudden news about Ah Rou. After searching for her for a year in Hong Kong, now that he finally had news, he wished he could go to find her right away. Had it not been for Brother Fei often looking out for him, he wouldn’t have thought of coming to explain.
"Northeast Tiger!"
Suddenly, Shangguan called out, startling the man named Ah Jin. He turned around abruptly, his entire body exuding a chilling intensity that was frightening.
"Who are you?" the man asked coldly.
"Shangguan Feifei."
"What is Shangguan Hong to you?"
"He’s my older brother. He’s been looking for you."
With Shangguan’s response, Ah Jin’s aura gradually warmed up, and a bitter smile appeared on his face, "What are you looking for me for? How could I still have the face to see him?"
"No, Big Brother said you’ve always been his Northeast Tiger in his heart, and forever will be. No one can replace you!" Shangguan said earnestly.
Everyone inside the room was bewildered by their conversation, wondering if they had bumped into acquaintances. But what the heck was this Northeast Tiger?
Ah Jin’s eyes reddened, about to say something, but Shangguan spoke again, "Are you in a hurry for something? I’ll fight for you, so you can go deal with your urgent task with peace of mind!"
"No, it’s too dangerous. This Thai is very formidable; I can’t let you take this risk for me." Ah Jin clenched his teeth and resolutely said, "I’ll fight myself. After the boxing match, I’ll go find the person."
Ah Jin couldn’t let his good brother’s sister take risks for him, so he suppressed his urgency to find someone and agreed to enter the ring himself.
Fei beamed with joy, "That’s more like it! It’s okay to look for them after the match."
"You don’t trust me?"
As soon as Shangguan finished speaking, she suddenly lunged forward. Everyone just saw a blur, and Shangguan and Ah Jin were entangled in a fight.
This was also the first time Sisi saw Shangguan box. Although she didn’t understand boxing, she could see that Shangguan’s boxing technique was indeed formidable. Her punches were not just for show; they were simple but fast, fierce, and accurate. To be exact, Shangguan was practicing techniques meant to kill. They weren’t fancy, but they were practical; every punch meant harm.
Ah Jin was the same. Every move he made was practical, not a single one was feinted, and his punches were clearly more powerful than Shangguan’s. However, Shangguan was faster than Ah Jin. The two of them were evenly matched.
"Good! Really good!"
Qiao Xingbang enjoyed the display, mimicking the fighters’ moves left and right, gleefully shadowboxing alone.
Fei also took an interest, never expecting Sisi’s friend to have such impressive skills!
Ah Jin and Shangguan went back and forth with several dozen moves, but in reality, only a dozen seconds had passed. Both stepped back simultaneously.
"How about that?"
"Not bad. I’ll leave it to you then. I’ll take my leave first, see you later!" After saying this, Ah Jin actually left and soon disappeared from view.
Fei didn’t stop him, but looked at Shangguan with interest, and then asked Sisi, "Sisi, is your friend really going to take Ah Jin’s place in the fight? You know, boxing here means signing a life-and-death agreement."
"Brother Fei, just follow the rules here," Sisi said after seeking Shangguan’s opinion.
"Alright, Ming, bring the life-and-death agreement, let this young lady sign it," Fei said without further ado, immediately calling his subordinate.
Shangguan hesitated not even for a moment and stamped her handprint on the life-and-death agreement, eager to ask, "When is the fight?"
"In half an hour. Xingzai, take Feifei down to prepare, explain to her our rules of boxing here," Fei said with a smile.
Qiao Xingbang led Shangguan down spiritedly, followed by Sisi and the others. In the rest area, the Thai was already there, a medium-built young man with a sinister look, fierce-faced, staring intently at Sisi and her group, clearly not an easy person to deal with.
