Chapter 345: Chapter 338: Rescue
According to Yuan Jin, the New Dragon Association had planted thirty-five men in this place, with twenty firearms, possibly even grenades. It seemed that the New Dragon Association really valued this location.
This building was shaped like a gourd, narrow on the outside and wide inside, a typical easy-to-defend and hard-to-attack structure, therefore they must come up with a perfect plan to successfully rescue the hostages.
Yuan Jin was responsible for leading the charge, drawing enemy fire, while Qiao Xingbang, Shangguan, and Zhang Jie formed the rear guard. Sisi was sniping the remnants from above.
At three o’clock in the morning, a streak of dawn illuminated the sky, and the light was just right for an ambush. ’Bang’, a gunshot rang out, Sisi whistled, and immediately aimed at the building opposite. At this moment, people were running chaotically in the corridors, some sleeping guests ran out holding up their pants, and there were also women’s screams and sobs.
"Sisi, how can you tell which ones are guests and which ones are enemies?" Li Junji didn’t understand. They all had heads on their shoulders; what if you shot the wrong person?
"The ones holding up their pants are definitely guests, those with weapons are the enemies, and those wearing eye patches are our own," Sisi said with a ’you’re so dumb’ expression and continued to target and shoot at the opposite side.
The geographical position Yuan Jin had chosen was indeed good; the scene opposite was clear at a glance. Shangguan and the others inside should be attacking fiercely. People from the New Dragon Association were retreating from time to time, some even trying to go out to call for reinforcements. Sisi calmly aimed at her targets, pulling the trigger—headshots in bloom, red plum blossoms opening one after another.
"One, two, three..." Li Junji watched through binoculars, watching person after person from the New Dragon Association fall down with a red dot between their eyebrows.
"Killing without bloodshed, a touch of red beneath the gun! My God, even a touch of red has made its appearance!"
Li Junji was ecstatic. In the past few days, he felt as if he wasn’t living in the Hong Kong where he grew up but in a world of Gu Long’s swashbuckling adventures—righting wrongs with a roar, roaming the world with a sword, oh, oh, oh, what a refreshing life!
He really fucking wasted the past twenty-plus years of his life!
Sisi couldn’t be bothered with Sixth Young Master Li’s freak-out and continued to ambush people from the New Dragon Association. These people probably also realized that there was a sniper in the dark, all hiding in their rooms, not daring to come out. But there were devils in the rooms too, even more terrifying devils than Sisi!
Mo Liu looked at each person falling down, his palm icy cold, sweat dripping from his forehead, and his teeth chattering. He forcibly suppressed his fear, biting his lips hard, mentally cheering himself on.
"Don’t drag Sisi down; you can definitely hold on!"
Mo Liu took out a bottle of liquor, given to him by Sisi, to have a small sip whenever he felt afraid. He opened the cap and sipped carefully, the spicy liquor making him feel much calmer.
Someone escaped, trying to drive away from the yard, but Sisi sneered and took them out with a headshot. She then switched to incendiary rounds, putting all four vehicles in the yard to flames. Four fireballs blazed brightly, illuminating the entire building as if it were daylight.
The sound of gunfire had already alarmed the surrounding residents, who hid timidly in their homes, not daring to go outside. Some braver souls quietly lifted the curtains to peek out, and of course, some concerned citizens made calls to the police.
The women inside had escaped and stood trembling on the street, scarcely clothed, fearful and at a loss. They had never set foot outside this door and had no idea where to go.
A few men, cursing and holding guns, tried to drive these women back inside. The women screamed, unwilling to go; they had finally seen the light and were not about to set foot in that hell again.
Just as the man was about to shoot, Zhang Jie and Shangguan ran out, with Zhang Jie throwing out four flying knives in quick succession, all striking the man’s gun-wielding wrist. Shangguan then took a quick step forward and disabled their limbs. After pulling out the flying knives, Zhang Jie said to these pitiful women, "These people can no longer move. Don’t you want to take revenge?"
The women were initially stunned, their expressions blank with confusion, before someone rushed forwards, crying out, "You beasts, you finally got what’s coming for you! I’ll kill you to avenge my sister!"
That woman looked like a madwoman, furiously pouncing on the four men and clawing and biting at them, while the other women also snapped to action, recklessly rushing in. They attacked with their teeth, hands, and feet, each venting their pent-up rage.
In no time, the four men on the ground had been torn to shreds, their bloodied bodies a mess. The woman who had charged first held an ear in her mouth, her face also drenched in blood, resembling a feral being, making the distant onlookers retch uncontrollably.
The sound of police sirens was already approaching from afar. Sisi stood up, put away her gun, and with a nod towards an excited Li Junji, the three of them retreated together.
Yuan Jin and the others had been waiting below; once the three got into the car, Qiao Xingbang quietly started the vehicle and they left the scene. Shortly after, police cars arrived, and the officers were startled to see so many women outside.
By this point, the four bodies on the ground were lifeless, bitten to death by these women, their corpses devoid of any undamaged flesh. The extent of the women’s hatred for these men was so profound that not even the police officers, who were accustomed to gruesome scenes, could bear to look any further.
Beside Yuan Jin sat a gaunt woman; despite her emaciated appearance, one could tell from her still-graceful features that she had once been beautiful. Presumably, this was Ah Rou, but it was unclear what the relationship between Yuan Jin and Ah Rou was.
"Your great kindness is etched deep in my heart, I, Yuan Jin, will surely repay this debt!"
Yuan Jin clenched his fist in thanks to Sisi and the others, knowing that without their help, it would’ve been impossible for him alone to rescue the people so smoothly.
"No need to thank us. You’re a good brother of my elder," Shangguan said indifferently.
"Yes, Brother Yuan, we are all one of us. I am Zhang Jie, the daughter of Political Commissar Zhang from the Inner Mongolia Military Region," Zhang Jie introduced herself formally.
"So you are the daughter of Political Commissar Zhang, truly a daughter of the military!" Yuan Jin said with a laugh as he shook hands with Zhang Jie.
Sisi also extended her hand with a smile, "Brother Yuan, He Sisi. My master is Luo Datou, though I can only consider myself to be half a disciple."
Yuan Jin expressed his utmost respect, "General Luo was once my instructor, but I am ashamed to say I’ve let him down!"
"No, Brother Yuan, you mustn’t belittle yourself; we all believe in you," Sisi said earnestly.
Qiao Xingbang and Li Junji silently listened to the others catching up, their minds churning with thoughts. Political Commissar? General? Military region? So they all came from a military background, no wonder each had such an air of confidence.
"Brother Yuan, what are you planning to do next?" Sisi asked.
Yuan Jin was silent for a long moment, then turning to look at Ah Rou beside him, he answered with a smile, "I’m planning to take Ah Rou back to our hometown. My family’s home is in Northeast Liaoning, we have some land there, and as long as we have the strength to work, we won’t starve. When the time comes, you all should come and visit."
