Chapter 18 Mutual Respect

"No, Sister Ying. I just want to watch her grovel and see how long she can endure it," Lu Yushan said, a sinister glint in her eyes.

Liu Ying's lips curved slightly as she changed the subject. "Chen Fa went abroad for vacation and hasn't returned yet. Did you start working at K Feng a bit too early?"

"It's not early. One must always prepare for the unexpected. If that Chen Fa returns, Qin Siye will definitely seek him out to investigate," Lu Yushan said, picking up her coffee and taking a small sip.

Liu Ying chuckled softly. "Don't worry, I'll speak with Chen Fa about this. I'll handle it perfectly for you."

When Lu Yushan left the company building after work, she saw Yin Xi, who was waiting for a car by the roadside, get into a black Maybach.

Without a doubt, that car must have been sent by Qin Siye.

The flames of jealousy and anger spread relentlessly within her.

She quickly took out her phone and dialed Qin Siye's number.

"Hello? Qin... Siye, tonight is Friday. Are you... free?" Lu Yushan felt as though he was practically about to marry her, so addressing him this way felt natural.

Qin Siye's deep voice quickly responded over the phone, "I have plans tonight."

Lu Yushan hadn't expected him to refuse her so outright. She quickly asked, "Where are you? I'll come to you."

"You've overstepped. It's best not to contact me proactively from now on. I will fulfill what I owe you," Qin Siye replied coldly, hanging up the phone in annoyance.

"If you have something to attend to, you can go ahead. Assistant Zhao can take me," Yin Xi said, sitting beside him and looking up at him with a sincere expression.

Qin Siye's gaze softened slightly. "It's nothing. They're all insignificant people."

"Oh," Yin Xi smiled, offering a single word in response.

The atmosphere in the car immediately turned heavy.

After a moment, Yin Xi spoke, "I'm sorry. Today is the day to bring Yin Zhe home. The Qin family villa has already been auctioned by the court. I had no other choice but to think of bringing him to Xinglan Bay."

"It's alright. During the term of our contract, that is your home. Tell Yin Zhe not to have any psychological burden," he said.

After saying this, Qin Siye regretted mentioning the "contract."

"Okay," Yin Xi replied, as if she hadn't heard him, a faint smile on her lips.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the school entrance. Yin Zhe, with his backpack on, was already waiting there.

When Yin Xi stepped out of the black Maybach, he stared with wide, astonished eyes.

"Sis, why are you riding in a car like this?"

He remembered that his family didn't own such a high-end, luxurious car.

Yin Xi didn't answer him directly. Instead, with a smile, she took his backpack from him. "Get in the car first. I'll explain some things to you later."

Opening the rear door, Yin Zhe saw a tall, handsome man sitting inside. He turned to Yin Xi with a faint smile, as if he understood something.

"Go inside first," Yin Xi said.

After both of them were seated, Yin Xi formally introduced them.

"Zhe, this is my boyfriend, Qin Siye."

"Siye, this is my younger brother, Yin Zhe."

The two men exchanged glances.

Yin Zhe had handsome features with sharp contours, a face like polished jade. Apart from his eyes, he resembled Yin Xi in other aspects.

He was tall and slender, and despite being only 15, he was already close to 180 cm. However, he appeared somewhat frail.

To Yin Zhe, Qin Siye was a successful and incredibly handsome man.

Even though it was their first meeting, Yin Zhe felt favorably towards him and even considered him a role model for his future.

"Hello, Brother Siye!" Yin Zhe politely greeted him first.

"Mhm," Qin Siye replied with a slight smile. "When we reach Xinglan Bay, don't feel restricted. Make yourself at home."

"Okay," Yin Zhe's good impression of him grew.

He couldn't help but glance at Yin Xi, perhaps it was a case of "loving the house because of its owner."

Suddenly, his brows furrowed slightly. "Sis, aren't I going home? Where's Dad? Why didn't he pick me up?"

He had thought Yin Xi was just picking him up on her way and would drop him off at the Yin family residence. He hadn't expected Qin Siye to mention a different location.

"Dad is away on a business trip and couldn't make it back in time. You'll be staying with me at Xinglan Bay this weekend. That's Siye's home," Yin Xi said, trying her best to appear calm, though her eyes couldn't help but dart around.

Upon hearing this, Yin Zhe glanced at Qin Siye and asked, "Are you living there too?"

"Yes," Yin Xi replied noncommittally.

Given Qin Siye's presence in the car, Yin Zhe didn't press further.

Although he felt well-disposed towards Qin Siye, the idea of them living together so soon struck him as rather bizarre.

Over the next two days, Yin Zhe stayed at Xinglan Bay and realized that Yin Xi and Qin Siye did not share a room.

Furthermore, he clearly sensed that their interactions were not as intimate as those of a normal couple; rather, they treated each other with respectful distance. They didn't even hold hands.

Everyone at Xinglan Bay treated him well, considering him part of the Qin family. Qin Siye was particularly caring, even taking the time to treat him to a large meal outside.

On Sunday, when Yin Zhe returned to school, Qin Siye was out on business and had arranged for Butler Liu to drive him.

Yin Xi accompanied him.

Along the way, Yin Zhe wanted to ask her several times how she was getting along with Qin Siye, but he ultimately didn't.

Perhaps everything was as he observed; they had only recently met and were not yet in the throes of love.

But if that were the case, why wasn't his sister returning to the Yin family home and instead staying at Xinglan Bay?

Yin Xi also noticed his many doubts, but she couldn't reveal the truth.

Since he hadn't asked, she decided to keep it a secret for as long as possible.

As they parted at the school gate, Yin Xi affectionately adjusted the collar of his shirt. "Zhe, study hard at school and take care of yourself. That way, Dad and I can rest assured. Siye and I have only recently met, he treats me very well, and we get along harmoniously. You don't need to worry."

"Okay. Sis, take care!" Yin Zhe smiled slightly, slung his backpack over his shoulder, and turned to walk towards the school gate.

Watching his retreating figure, Yin Xi remained there for a long time before getting back into the car and leaving.

As soon as she returned to Xinglan Bay and reached the entrance of the hall, Yin Xi heard Sister Li's stern voice from the living room.

"Miss, please leave quickly! No outsiders are allowed in here without the master's permission!"

Immediately after, a familiar voice rang out, "I've already introduced myself. I am not an outsider. I will soon be the mistress of this house."

Her heart skipped a beat. Yin Xi pushed the door open forcefully and saw Lu Yushan standing arrogantly in the middle of the living room, surveying the surroundings.

Upon seeing Yin Xi, Lu Yushan feigned surprise. "Yin Xi? What are you doing here?"

Hearing this, Sister Li and the other servants in the house looked towards the doorway with panicked expressions.

It turned out this woman knew Miss Yin, which made the situation even worse.
