Chapter 531 Is It Really That Simple?

After Yin Zhe left, Shen Xi pushed Qin Si Ye downstairs for a walk.

Not long after they started, they saw Jian Fan approaching them from the main entrance.

"Mr. Qin, Sister Xi, what a coincidence. I was just planning to come up and see you."

Qin Si Ye nodded slightly at him.

Shen Xi asked, "Is there something you need?"

"Yes, I plan to fly back tonight. There's too much work at the company over there, and I'm worried Yi Fei won't be able to manage alone," Jian Fan replied with a smile.

"Okay. There is indeed a lot to do over there. You two have worked hard during this period," Shen Xi said, looking down at Qin Si Ye, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.

If it weren't for her personal emotional troubles, Qin Si Ye wouldn't have gotten injured. She would be able to return the day after tomorrow.

"It's nothing. This is what we should be doing," Jian Fan replied with a smile, then looked at Qin Si Ye. "Mr. Qin, I'd like to speak with Sister Xi alone for a moment."

"Alright. Go ahead," Qin Si Ye agreed readily.

After the last incident, his impression of Jian Fan had improved significantly.

Shen Xi truly had a discerning eye, having chosen an assistant so loyal to her from among Song Kai Cheng's people.

The two walked quickly to a deserted wall. Jian Fan said, "Sister Xi, I've prepared all the materials to expose Lu Huai An. Should I hand them over to the relevant departments directly?"

"No, wait until I get back," Shen Xi said, thinking it over. Fearing complications, she decided it would be more prudent to wait until her return.

Jian Fan asked, "Then, roughly when can you go back?"

"As soon as possible, probably about a week," Shen Xi replied, her gaze drifting back to Qin Si Ye, who was in his wheelchair.

The man was looking down at his phone, completely unaware he was being watched.

"Okay, I'll listen to your arrangements." Jian Fan understood from her gaze that her prolonged stay was due to Qin Si Ye.

Shen Xi turned to him. "In Hai Cheng, make sure the people you've sent keep a close eye on Zheng Jing He."

She thought about it; Zheng Jing He had been under their control and surveillance for over a month, and she worried the man might resort to desperate measures.

"I understand. Please don't worry," Jian Fan replied confidently.

After seeing Jian Fan off, Shen Xi returned to Qin Si Ye's side. He looked up and asked, "Why does Jian Fan's tone suggest he and Xie Yi Fei are dating?"

"Yes. Last time Yi Fei was in the hospital and got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend's mother, Jian Fan rescued her, and they got together afterward," Shen Xi said calmly, pushing Qin Si Ye forward.

Qin Si Ye frowned, then turned to look at her. "Is it really that simple?"

"Yes. What's wrong?" Shen Xi found his expression difficult to understand.

Did he think she should create more trouble between them?

Qin Si Ye turned his head and murmured to himself, "Why is it so easy for others to pursue a girlfriend, but so difficult for me?"

Could it be that he had to endure eighty-one tribulations before true love could blossom?

If he had known, he wouldn't have brought up the matter of collecting ten thank yous during their time at Long Cheng Amusement Park.

It had started out smoothly, but why did it become increasingly difficult to collect them as time went on?

The key was that he had made a mistake out of impulse, deducting two.

He felt as if he had dug a pit for himself and was happily jumping into it.

"What did you say?" Shen Xi, not having heard him clearly, lowered her head and asked.

"I said I saw long ago that they were a good match," Qin Si Ye quickly collected his thoughts and smiled.

Shen Xi gave him a slight glare, her words laced with a hint of mockery and grievance. "Really? I don't recall you having such keen insight.

A month ago, who was it that flew into a rage over a few photos and suspected me and Jian Fan?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye turned and grabbed her hand, the corners of his lips lifting. "It's mainly because your acting was too good.

Let's not dwell on the past; we need to look forward."

Inside Shen Xi's villa, after dinner, Yin Zhe called the three children to his room.

"There's something I need to discuss with you three and get your opinions on."

The three children had never seen him speak so solemnly to them, and they exchanged glances.

"Uncle, what is it? Tell us quickly," Chen Chen asked curiously.

Yin Zhe pulled up a chair and sat in front of them. "Your mom asked me to take over after dinner. What do you think, should I go or not?"
