"Bury the dead properly. As for the other two, find a small hospital and save them. Just keep them breathing and able to speak. I want to see who is pulling the strings behind them!"
Qin Si Ye said these words with a surge of emotion. Suddenly, his vision went black, and he almost fainted.
"Zeng Jian, don't report anything else to him. Drive quickly," Shen Xi quickly reached out to support him, leaning him back into the seat. "From now on, close your eyes and don't say another word."
Her mind, however, was a whirlwind of thoughts. So, those people had been captured by him.
She wondered if she should tell him the information she had gotten from those people.
About ten minutes later, the car finally stopped at the hospital entrance.
Medical personnel were already waiting with a gurney.
They helped Qin Si Ye onto the gurney and quickly moved forward.
His eyes were hazy, and he tightly held Shen Xi's small hand, unwilling to let go for even a moment.
The car was quickly pushed into the emergency treatment room, and Shen Xi was kept outside.
She could only wait anxiously from the outside.
However, after a few minutes, the door suddenly opened again.
A slightly plump female doctor, speaking fluent English, asked her:
"Excuse me, madam, are you a doctor?"
"Yes," Shen Xi replied in surprise. "What's wrong?"
"The gentleman inside is very uncooperative. He insists that you come in to treat him," the female doctor said with a frown, looking troubled.
"Alright," Shen Xi said, and immediately followed her inside.
She saw Qin Si Ye lying angrily on the hospital bed, his hands clutched tightly to his trousers.
The bedding was already stained with blood in several places.
Medical supplies were scattered on the floor. Two trembling female nurses stood beside him.
"Qin Si Ye, what are you doing?" Shen Xi stared with wide, astonished eyes.
"Xi Xi, come here," Qin Si Ye saw her as if she were a savior and immediately reached out his arms to her. "Make them all leave. I don't want to see any other women in this room."
Hearing this, Shen Xi finally understood why he had been so resistant earlier.
"Okay. Don't worry, I'll have them leave now."
Shen Xi turned to the female doctor and whispered a few words. The staff quickly tidied up the room and then left.
"Qin Si Ye, they are doctors, they don't distinguish between men and women. Are you shy now?"
"But in my eyes, they are women. I'm a germaphobe."
"Okay. Don't move, I'll treat you." Shen Xi picked up the scissors on the table and with a few snips, cut off one leg of his trousers.
Blushing, she lowered her head and carefully examined his wound. "The wound is large and deep. It needs a few stitches to heal faster."
Qin Si Ye's lips curved slightly. He made no move to dodge, letting her look at him.
"Alright. As long as you're treating me, anything is fine."
Just then, a male doctor walked in from outside, holding a medical tray.
Shen Xi said, "Before cleaning and stitching, he needs a local anesthetic."
"Mm," Qin Si Ye said calmly, cooperating fully.
The doctor administered a local anesthetic, and soon a needle was pushed into his leg.
However, only when the anesthetic took effect did Qin Si Ye realize that it wasn't Shen Xi who was cleaning and stitching him, but the male doctor.
Qin Si Ye glared at her with a hint of coldness in his eyes, wanting to sit up and resist.
Shen Xi gently pushed him back down and said in a soft tone, "Qin Si Ye, calm down, don't move around.
I'm a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, I don't know about this kind of surgical stitching. If it's stitched poorly, it'll be troublesome.
Not only will it affect the wound's healing, but it might also leave a very ugly scar."
Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye finally calmed down and cooperated with the male doctor.
After the wound was treated, the doctor looked up at Shen Xi and said, "This gentleman's wound is very deep. It's best to be hospitalized for observation for a week and receive intravenous fluids for inflammation."
Qin Si Ye frowned upon hearing this and immediately refused, "No. I don't want to be hospitalized. I want to go home."
Although he had expected to be hospitalized, he still tried his best to argue for going home.
Life was too inconvenient in the hospital.
"I think it's better to follow the doctor's arrangement. This way, he'll get better faster," Shen Xi, however, agreed with the doctor's suggestion.
Leg injuries were different from other parts. If not treated properly, there was a high chance of sequelae.
"Xi Xi, let's go home. Get the medicine prescribed, and you can give me the IV drip, okay?" Qin Si Ye grabbed Shen Xi's hand and said in a soft tone.
"No," Shen Xi immediately objected, insisting on principles. "How about this, we stay for three days first. We'll see how things are after three days."
