“You know you’re wrong. They’ve already refused you, so why are you still clinging on?” Qin Siye’s anger flared again as he recalled the scene he’d just witnessed. His gaze shot towards the other man like two icy arrows.
He really wanted to punch him again.
“This is between Xi Xi and me. It has nothing to do with you,” Song Kaicheng clenched his fists, returning Qin Siye’s glare with equal intensity.
“Is that so?” Qin Siye’s lips suddenly curved into a smile. He reached out and pulled Shen Xi into his embrace. “What if I say she’s my girlfriend? Do you think this has anything to do with me?”
However, in the next moment, Shen Xi’s eyes turned cold and she glared at him, shouting, “Qin Siye.”
Meeting her gaze, Qin Siye’s heart jolted. He immediately released his arm, straightened his back, and looked at Song Kaicheng.
“Alright. I admit, Shen Xi isn’t my girlfriend yet, but I am pursuing her. Mr. Song, if you’re also interested in Shen Xi, how about we have a fair competition?”
After last night’s events, Qin Siye felt brimming with confidence.
Song Kaicheng’s eyes darkened. He glanced at Shen Xi and said, “Alright. We can do that, for two months. If Shen Xi chooses you in the end, I will withdraw and will not bother you.”
With that, Song Kaicheng turned and walked away with a limp.
“Brother Kaicheng.” Shen Xi took two steps after him, but Song Kaicheng didn’t look back.
Watching his receding figure, Shen Xi’s eyes welled up with tears again. She slowly turned around, her gaze chillingly fixed on the man before her. “Qin Siye, what do you take me for? A possession? Who gave you the right to make me an object of competition between you two?”

“I… I got angry when I saw him holding you. I just wanted to make him give up completely this way.”
Seeing that Shen Xi was actually defending the other man, Qin Siye’s anger also ignited, and he even began to doubt Shen Xi. “Do you think I’m wrong for doing this? Letting him keep bothering you, or have you fallen for him too?”

Shen Xi’s body stiffened, then she struggled desperately, pushing him with all her might. However, the man held her tightly, giving her no chance to breathe, kissing her more deeply. It wasn’t until he felt a sharp pain on his lips that he seemed to wake from a dream and slowly released her. In the next instant, Shen Xi’s hand slapped him hard across the face. “Qin Siye, you bastard!”
