Chapter 394 They Walked Very Closely

Shen Xi was startled and quickly took it, twisted it open, and drank a few large gulps before finally suppressing the hiccup.

Just as she opened her mouth to say "thank you," she suddenly remembered that Qin Si Ye disliked hearing those two words.

The words at the tip of her tongue retreated back down her throat.

After that, she no longer dared to eat like before. Instead, she chewed slowly and deliberately, taking sips of water from time to time, her eating demeanor much more elegant than before.

A fleeting smile touched the corner of Qin Si Ye's lips.

After finishing the bread, Shen Xi turned her head and asked him with a confused expression, "Mr. Qin, how did you think that woman was my aunt?"

This question had been on her mind while she was washing up, but she couldn't figure it out no matter how hard she tried.

"Your aunt has been very close to my uncle recently. Didn't you know?" Qin Si Ye glanced at her and retorted.

Very close? What did that mean?

Seeing her surprise, Qin Si Ye continued, "Recently, I heard from the staff at Illusion that your aunt has been there no less than five times. A few times, she even drank alone with my uncle."

Oh? This was news to her. It seemed she wasn't paying enough attention to her aunt, as she hadn't heard any of this.

"Perhaps they are similar in age, and both single, so they have common ground," Shen Xi replied thoughtfully.

However, judging by her aunt's usual prejudice against men, it was rather unusual for her to frequently meet the same man.

"Yes. For my uncle, she might also be the confidante he has encountered in all these years," Qin Si Ye said with a gentle smile.

After driving on the main road for a while, the car suddenly turned onto a small path.

Shen Xi looked around and asked, "Why are we taking this road? Aren't we going on the highway?"

"Driving takes too long. We're taking a helicopter," Qin Si Ye replied in a low voice, glancing at her.

Shen Xi looked ahead and indeed saw a silver helicopter on the grass not far in front.

Could this be Qin Si Ye's private helicopter?

Rich people's lives were indeed different. While you might be thinking of driving on the highway, they could already fly through the sky.

As the two of them got out of the car, they saw Zhao Ze and bodyguards in black standing respectfully in a line.

Qin Si Ye took out his luggage and walked towards them with Shen Xi.

He tossed the car keys to Zhao Ze and said, "Take the car back. The rest of you, follow me onto the helicopter."

With that, he took Shen Xi's hand and walked towards the helicopter.

Shen Xi stared blankly at the helicopter in front of her, wondering if she would get motion sickness later.

She didn't show any discomfort or resistance, allowing Qin Si Ye to hold her hand in front of everyone.

Zhao Ze saw this scene and couldn't help but curve his lips upward.

It seemed that his words last night had worked. Miss Shen's attitude towards the CEO appeared to have changed considerably.

Qin Si Ye led her onto the helicopter first and sat in the front two-seater. Shen Xi only came to her senses after she was seated. She inadvertently counted the people who followed them onto the helicopter – a total of six bodyguards.

After fastening their seatbelts, the helicopter finally began to lift off slowly, moving upwards and forwards. Although the movement was slow, it still gave a sense of losing balance and discomfort.

Since Shen Xi had just eaten and it was her first time on a helicopter, she began to feel dizzy and nauseous.

"Fly slower," Qin Si Ye shouted to the pilot. Then, he gently patted her back and asked with concern, "How are you feeling? Do you feel like throwing up?"

Shen Xi tried her best to control herself. After a long while, she finally looked up and replied in a low voice, "I'm alright. I should be fine after a while."

She blamed herself for being so weak.

She had come out to find someone, but instead, she had become the one being taken care of.

"How long will it take to get there?" Qin Si Ye looked up at the pilot again, his hand not stopping its action.

"About fifty minutes," the pilot replied loudly.

Qin Si Ye looked at Shen Xi, who was still breathing heavily, and asked softly, "Are you feeling any better now?"

"My stomach feels a bit better. But my head is still a little dizzy," Shen Xi looked up at him, meeting his concerned gaze.

The hand Qin Si Ye had placed on her back changed from a gentle pat to a soft stroke, and after a few minutes, he slowly withdrew it.

"When the helicopter first takes off, there's a period of discomfort. Once it's flying normally, you'll feel much better.

How about you try to sleep for a while? I'll wake you when we arrive."

Qin Si Ye felt that her reaction was likely due to it being her first time on a helicopter, and also possibly because she hadn't rested well last night, resulting in poor physical condition.

"Okay." Shen Xi felt dizzy, her vision growing hazy. Soon, she closed her eyes. She had a very strange and terrifying dream. In the dream, she and Qin Si Ye walked into a dark and deep primeval forest, where they saw many poisonous snakes and ferocious beasts.
