Chapter 316 For You, I Am Willing

Shen Xi raised an eyebrow slightly, replying with a proud look, "Of course, people always have to make progress."

She discovered that when facing terrifying things, as long as she grabbed onto something and dug her nails into it, she could alleviate her fear.

That's what she had done while watching the movie. She had gripped the armrest with her left hand, and it had worked very well.

At that moment, Yan Yan suddenly ran to Qin Si Ye, shouting, and asked, holding up his right hand, "Daddy, why is your hand broken like this?"

The other three couldn't help but look at his hand. They saw that it was covered with fingernail marks of varying depths, and in some places, red blood threads were even visible. Shen Xi picked up his hand in surprise, examined it carefully for a moment, and then looked up at him in disbelief, "Did I do all of this?"

"If not you, then who? Did I do it myself?" Qin Si Ye's lips curled upwards slightly, replying noncommittally.

The three children exchanged glances, pursed their lips, and struggled to suppress their laughter.

Shen Xi was overcome with shame, her ears burning, and she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She immediately reached out to take the backpack from him, intending to get out the medical supplies, "Let me treat your wound first."

"No need," Qin Si Ye dodged slightly. "It's getting late, let's hurry to the meeting spot. We don't want to keep others waiting. We can handle it when we get there."

He was always punctual and rarely broke or was late for appointments.

"Alright," Shen Xi glanced at her watch. It was already 11:25, and they indeed needed to hurry.

Upon hearing this, the three children immediately turned and walked forward quickly, hand in hand.

Shen Xi released her hand and reached out to take the bag in Qin Si Ye's other hand, but he dodged her again.

"No need, this hand isn't injured."

The next second, his injured hand tightly grasped her left hand. He lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "I don't want to hear those three words, I want those two words."

Hearing this, Shen Xi blinked her beautiful big eyes and immediately understood the two words he was referring to.

It must be "Thank you."

He had truly taken the matter of collecting ten "Thank yous" seriously.

"I never agreed to that, so it's useless even if you collect them all," Shen Xi glared at him slightly and then quickly followed the children's footsteps.

Qin Si Ye didn't let go of her hand. His eyebrows slightly raised, and he walked forward with her.

This time, perhaps out of guilt, Shen Xi, uncharacteristically, didn't pull her hand away.

The five arrived at the entrance of the Long Le Restaurant. Shen Xi went up to Teacher Li and whispered a few words to her, then entered the restaurant with Qin Si Ye and the three children.

She booked a private room at the front desk. After the five of them were seated, Shen Xi, with a nervous expression, took out the medical supplies from her backpack to treat Qin Si Ye's wounds.

Looking at the red fingernail marks, Shen Xi felt a complex mix of guilt and anger.

While disinfecting his wound with a cotton swab dipped in iodine, she looked up at him, "Why didn't you dodge back then?"

"Are you worried about me?" Qin Si Ye's lips curved slightly, his eyes filled with tenderness.

Shen Xi paused her movements and looked at him, "I think you're foolish."

"For you, I'm willing. If my hand hadn't been there, your fingernails might have been ruined." Qin Si Ye stared at her intensely, ignoring the presence of the three children.

A warmth flowed through her heart once more, and Shen Xi's heart trembled lightly, though her expression remained calm.

She lowered her head and carefully applied a band-aid to his wound, as if she hadn't heard what he said.

At that moment, Teacher Li knocked and entered. Seeing the medical supplies on the table and the band-aids on Qin Si Ye's hand, she asked in surprise, "Ah! How did you get injured?"

"I wasn't paying attention and scraped it. It's nothing, I've already treated it for him," Shen Xi replied, feeling somewhat embarrassed. She glanced at Qin Si Ye and, steeling herself, said.

"Oh. That's good. The weather is hot now, and you sweat a lot. You must take good care of yourself and avoid injuries, otherwise, they can easily get infected."

After Teacher Li said this earnestly, she then asked,

"Are you planning to dine separately and not with everyone else?"

The three children exchanged glances and suddenly stood up, saying, "No, Teacher Li, we want to dine with our classmates."
