Tang Ran let out a soft sigh. "All my clothes are in there. I'm not planning on staying at the Jin family's anymore."
"Why?" Yin Xi was very surprised. "I only told Jin Jingchen yesterday that you were learning acupuncture, and he said he would consider it carefully."
Tang Ran then recounted everything that had happened at the Jin family's that noon.
"Ah? Why is Jin Jingchen so stubborn?" Yin Xi quickly comforted Tang Ran. "Tang Ran, don't be too upset.
He's doing this partly for your sake, and partly because he might not have figured things out yet."
"I've already told him that I don't care what others think. I also used Mr. Jin's connections to try and persuade him.
But he still refused me."
Tang Ran let out a self-deprecating chuckle. "Maybe he's just hated me from the very beginning."
"How could that be? Tang Ran, please don't think that. I can guarantee that Jin Jingchen absolutely does not hate you."
Yin Xi squeezed her hand, pulled her to sit on the sofa, and analyzed carefully.
"If he hated you, why would he have entrusted you to take care of his father when Jin Zhanhao and his mother tried to harm Mr. Jin?
And why would he have agreed to let you care for him in the hospital for so long when he was so severely injured himself?"
Just then, a text message notification sounded on Tang Ran's phone.
Both of them couldn't help but be startled.
"Tang Ran, quickly open it. See if Jin Jingchen changed his mind and is asking you to come back," Yin Xi urged her, her eyes shining.
Tang Ran took it out and looked. Her face fell with disappointment as she replied, "No. It's the nursing fee he's sending."
"Oh." Yin Xi paused for a few seconds before continuing, "Tang Ran, would you like to know about Jin Jingchen's experiences and our past together?"
"Yes," Tang Ran replied without hesitation.
So, Yin Xi told her about Jin Jingchen's experiences from high school until now, including how he had once pursued her.
After listening, Tang Ran's eyes widened in extreme surprise as she looked at Yin Xi.
It was as if she suddenly understood why Jin Jingchen had refused her.
"Tang Ran, please don't overthink it. The reason I'm telling you this is to help you understand that Jin Jingchen has experienced trauma in both his family and emotional life, which is why he behaves this way when it comes to relationships."
Yin Xi's lips curved upwards, and she continued,
"Jin Jingchen has always been excellent, even since school. But he's not my type, I have a boyfriend."
Yin Xi felt that this last sentence was important; she had to make it clear to Tang Ran in person.
"Is your boyfriend the CEO of Zhuo Sheng, Qin Si Ye? Was he the one you were taking care of at the hospital that time?" Tang Ran finally asked the question that had been bothering her for a long time.
"That's right," Yin Xi replied. "How did you know?"
"Last time, Manager Chen went to Star Blue Bay to deliver something to you, and she guessed it. She mentioned it to me on the phone at the time," Tang Ran admitted frankly.
"Oh. So you all know now," Yin Xi said with a smile. "It's fine if you know.
In fact, he and I are more than just boyfriend and girlfriend; we have three children who are almost five years old.
Your sister-in-law and your elder sister both know."
"Ah? Ms. Yin. You can't be serious? You have three children this old?" Tang Ran tightened her grip on Yin Xi's hand, looking her up and down in disbelief.
"That was five years ago. What I went through at the time was much more complicated than what you see on the surface."
Yin Xi paused, then continued,
"The reason I haven't publicized my relationship with Qin Si Ye is because there are still some matters left unresolved.
So, I need you to keep this a secret for a while longer. When the time is right, Qin Si Ye and I will disclose everything to the public."
Tang Ran's beautiful eyes darted around rapidly.
If that was the case, why had she suddenly moved out of Star Blue Bay?
And what about the three children?
Did something happen between her and Qin Si Ye?
