Chapter 870 Falling in Love with Daddy

The next day, everyone at Xinglan Bay woke up very early. Those who had to go to work went to work, and those who had to go to school went to school. Each person had their own business to attend to.

After a warm and peaceful breakfast, everyone happily left the villa.

The three children said goodbye to Qin Si Ye and watched him drive away from the gates of Xinglan Bay.

“Let’s go. Grab your schoolbags, we can head out too,” Yin Xi said to her three little treasures, glancing at her watch.

The three children quickly got into the car. After Yin Xi drove onto the main road, she heard them whispering about something in the back.

Curiosity piqued, she asked, “What are you guys talking about? Can’t Mommy hear?”

Chen Chen sat up straight and looked at her seriously, “Mommy, I have a question for you.”

“Alright, ask away,” Yin Xi replied with a smile.

“I went to the third floor last night to ask you something and found out you’ve moved back to the guest room. What’s going on? Did you have a fight with Daddy?” Chen Chen frowned.

“No,” Yin Xi was startled and quickly denied it. “You could tell this morning, right? Do we look like we’re fighting?”

Chen Chen exchanged glances with his siblings and recalled the atmosphere during breakfast that morning. Daddy and Mommy had talked quite a bit and didn’t seem angry at all.

“Then why did you move out?” Chen Chen asked, still a bit confused.

Yin Xi thought for a moment before replying, “Your Daddy and I aren’t engaged yet, so we shouldn’t have been living together in the first place. I only moved in previously because the situation was special. Now that your Daddy’s injuries have mostly healed, there’s no need for me to stay there anymore.”

For now, this was the only explanation she could offer, hoping they wouldn’t probe further.

At this moment, Yan Yan suddenly piped up, “Mommy, do you not like Daddy?”

“Who told you that?” Yin Xi glanced back at the rearview mirror in surprise.

Yan Yan pouted, “I guessed it myself. Daddy is so good to you and has said he likes you many times in front of us, but we’ve never heard you say you like him.”

“I…” Yin Xi was speechless. Did she have to discuss such things in front of the children?

But to dispel their doubts, Yin Xi steeled herself and replied with a smile, “Your Daddy is so outstanding and handsome, of course I like him. However, liking someone, loving them, and getting engaged is a gradual process that requires deep understanding and equal, natural interaction. As you know, your Daddy and I have been through a lot. I want to let go of the past with him and start anew.”

Shuo Shuo, who had been silent, blinked his big eyes and said, “Mommy, I understand. You mean you want to forget the past with Daddy and start dating, right?”

Yin Xi couldn’t help but laugh when she heard this. “You know those three words too? If you understand it that way, then yes.”

Shuo Shuo and Chen Chen exchanged glances, and their faces lit up with happy smiles. Yan Yan, however, seemed a little confused, thinking she had asked a question her older brothers hadn’t considered.

“Mommy, if you and Daddy start dating again, then what about us three?”

“Yan Yan, you worry too much. We are, of course, Daddy and Mommy’s most beloved children.”

Chen Chen took her hand, his face full of excitement. “Even though we were conceived by accident, it doesn’t stop them from loving us. Now that they’ve decided to get to know each other again and start dating, we should be happy. They can date, we can play, and we can even help them out. Isn’t that wonderful?”

Yan Yan lowered her head in thought and finally had an epiphany. “I get it. Everything goes according to my two older brothers.” She then looked ahead at Yin Xi and said, “Mommy, I hope your dating period with Daddy isn’t too long, and you get married soon. We three are already prepared to welcome more siblings.”

“Yan Yan, you can’t rush these things. What will come will come,” Chen Chen chimed in with a smile, glancing at Yin Xi as he replied for her.

The three children couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Yin Xi glanced back at the rearview mirror, feeling a mix of amusement and helplessness. She suddenly felt her three little ones were a bit too precocious. In the future, she’d have to avoid delving into such topics with them. But then again, they were all so sharp; sometimes, she truly felt overwhelmed.
