Chapter 744 Necklace Spokesperson

“This…” Qin Si Yue was in a bit of a predicament. “He’s busy with work and often works overtime. I don’t know if he has time.”

She just wanted her family to know she had a boyfriend, but she hadn't expected her father to be so eager to meet Han Hao Ming in person.

The matter from back then hadn't been clarified yet. Even if she said something, Han Hao Ming probably wouldn’t accompany her to the Qin family’s home.

“Meeting a girlfriend’s parents is a big deal. No matter how busy he is, can’t he spare this much time?” Qin Xiu Zhi’s expression turned displeased. He then added,

“It’s settled. Have him come over next Sunday morning. We’ll all have a meal together.

Qi Qi, you come too. Keep an eye on Si Yue. She’s young and too trusting of people.”

“What do you mean, ‘keep an eye on her’? There’s no need. That young man is a police officer. What problems could there be with his character? I think they make a good pair.” Xu Zhi Lan’s face immediately darkened upon hearing this.

“Grandma Xu, please don’t be angry. I also think Si Yue has good judgment. I promise I won’t say a word then.” Meng Qi smiled at her, quickly stating her stance.

The implication was that while she wouldn’t say anything, she definitely intended to attend the meal.

Xu Zhi Lan’s expression finally softened slightly.

Seeing everyone focusing on their meal, Meng Qi finally found an opportunity to speak. She wasn’t interested in any of their previous conversations.

With a smile, she looked at Qin Si Ye opposite her, quickly shifting the topic to herself.

“Brother Si Ye, my leg is better now. I can start shooting commercials next week.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye’s heart skipped a beat. He secretly glanced at Yin Xi beside him, seeing her intently peeling shrimp for the children, seemingly as if she hadn’t heard.

“No rush. Your injury has just healed, you should rest for a few more days.”

“Alright. I’ll follow your arrangements.” Although Meng Qi felt a hint of disappointment, her words were obedient and sensible.

Just then, Qin Xiu Zhi seemed to have understood something and asked, “Qi Qi, are you back to be the spokesperson for Zhuo Sheng?”

“Yes. Uncle Qin, I’ve returned specifically to be the spokesperson for Zhuo Sheng’s newly launched diamond necklace collection.”

Meng Qi replied with pride, her gaze subtly flicking towards Yin Xi.

Yin Xi’s expression remained normal, showing no hint of emotion, and she continued peeling shrimp.

“Qi Qi, that’s wonderful. With an international star like you advertising for Zhuo Sheng, I’m confident our necklaces will sell exceptionally well,” Jiang Jie praised her at the opportune moment.

“Thank you, Aunt Jiang. I hope so,” Meng Qi said calmly, but inwardly, she was filled with triumph.

“Si Ye, since Qi Qi is collaborating with Zhuo Sheng this time, you’ll need to take good care of her accommodation and travel arrangements.” Qin Xiu Zhi looked up at his son.

Qin Si Ye’s face was grim, and he remained silent.

“Uncle, there’s no need. Brother Si Ye manages such a large conglomerate and is busy with state affairs every day. He won’t have much time.

I have my assistant, and everything has been arranged. You don’t need to worry,” Meng Qi thoughtfully interjected.

Xu Zhi Lan and Qin Si Yue listened to their conversation, and their gazes fell on Yin Xi. They felt a pang in their hearts but didn't know what to say.

After the meal, Yin Xi didn't linger. Citing a busy schedule at the pharmacy, she and Qin Si Ye left early with the three children.

On the way, Yin Xi looked out the window, silent.

Qin Si Ye was also preoccupied, not uttering a word.

The three children in the back seat whispered amongst themselves.

Suddenly, Chen Chen asked, “Daddy, is that Aunt Meng really going to be your company’s spokesperson?”

“Mm,” Qin Si Ye glanced at Yin Xi and replied with a soft monosyllable.

“We three don’t really like her. Can you get someone else?” Chen Chen asked cautiously.

Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye couldn’t help but look into the rearview mirror and frown. “You are children, you don’t understand company matters.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Yin Xi suddenly exclaimed, “Stop the car.”

Qin Si Ye thought she was feeling unwell and immediately pulled the car over to the side of the road, asking worriedly, “What’s wrong?”

“I suddenly remembered I ordered something from that shop a few days ago and need to pick it up,” Yin Xi said, pointing to a jewelry store ahead. She gestured for him to open the car door,

“You take the children home. I’ll pick up my item and take a taxi to the pharmacy directly.”
