The missions in the world of Dominators were divided into three major categories: collecting immortal elixirs and minerals needed by the sect, hunting down wanted criminals, and guarding the borders of ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion territories.
Collecting immortal elixirs and minerals was safer, while hunting wanted criminals was not something Qin Hanchu and his companions could undertake at their current stage. Those wanted by the Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion were mostly cultivators at the Immortal Venerable level or higher. Qin Hanchu and his three companions going after such powerful figures would be akin to seeking death.
In the world of Dominators, Qin Hanchu's advantage as a chosen one was not very pronounced. This was due to the weakness of the Heavenly Dao Spirit of the Divine Continent Great World. It couldn't fully permeate its will in the presence of the Heavenly Dao Spirit of the world of Dominators.
Guarding borders was relatively easier, but the rewards were not substantial. Qin Hanchu and his three companions each accepted several missions to collect immortal elixirs and minerals. After receiving their tasks, they left Ancient Dao City together.
The Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion required a wide variety of immortal elixirs, making it difficult for Qin Hanchu and his three companions to gather them all. Some of these elixirs even needed to be collected from outside the Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion’s territory. Traveling to other territories to gather herbs required stealth. Discovery by other factions would inevitably lead to conflict.
Within the same realm, Qin Hanchu and his companions held a significant advantage in strength. Axing and the other two were reincarnated powerhouses, their cultivation techniques superior to ordinary Immortal King realm cultivators. Qin Hanchu, possessing a top-grade immortal artifact and the unique Zi Xiao Immortal Thunder, even surpassed Axing and the other two in power.
However, even within the Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion’s territory, safety was not guaranteed. The Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion had a vast number of members, and to complete their missions, they would not hesitate to harm fellow sect members. Therefore, apart from themselves, no one else could be trusted.
The Misty Wetland was the first destination for Qin Hanchu and his companions, where they needed to find the Water Mist Immortal Flower. Water Mist Immortal Flowers were extremely rare, and more importantly, the mist in the Misty Wetland obscured spiritual senses. Since spiritual senses could not be widely dispersed, they had to rely on their eyesight to search. This made finding the Water Mist Immortal Flower significantly more challenging.
Qin Hanchu was enveloped by a transparent shield formed by the laws of life and death, its strength capable of withstanding an attack from an Immortal King. Axing and the other two manifested their Samsara Disks, orbiting around themselves.
"Searching like this is going to take some time," Qin Hanchu murmured as he walked through the forest, his gaze sweeping across the surroundings. Axing and the other two maintained a distance of about five hundred meters from Qin Hanchu. This ensured they could support each other while also expanding their search radius. Qin Hanchu and Axing were closest, allowing them to communicate via spirit stones.
"There's no other way; the mist laws here are very powerful," Axing replied to Qin Hanchu's question while observing their surroundings. "Only those above Immortal Sage can use their spiritual senses without restriction here."
After searching for ten full days, Qin Hanchu and his companions finally found one Water Mist Immortal Flower. They needed four in total, so they had to continue.
"Someone," Axing transmitted, alerted as they walked. Qin Hanchu, Ancestor Baili, and Dragon Lord all moved towards Axing's position.
"Four, are you also searching for Water Mist Immortal Flowers?" The opposing group consisted of six individuals, each radiating the aura of an Immortal King. They were also wearing the uniforms of the Ancient Dao Immortal Pavilion. These uniforms were keyed to their identity tokens; if they were killed, the uniforms would lose their formations. Thus, even if an opponent acquired the uniform, they couldn't use it for disguise.
"You must be too, right?" Qin Hanchu asked with a smile.
"We only need one more to complete our mission. Could you four be so kind as to lend us the Water Mist Immortal Flowers you have?" Hearing this, Axing and the others revealed cold smiles. Who would believe such a crude request?
Qin Hanchu replied, "What a coincidence? We also only need one more to complete our mission. Why don't you lend us yours first?"
"Four, haven't you understood the situation?" the leader of the opposing group stated. "We have more people, so you must give us the Water Mist Immortal Flowers. You don't want to die here, do you?" As the leader spoke, the other five drew their respective immortal artifacts. Each person having an immortal artifact indicated their considerable wealth.
"An opportunity has arisen," Qin Hanchu transmitted to the other three. "Plundering is more direct."
"Be careful; they have six people after all," Axing cautioned. "Don't be careless." With a wave of his hand, Qin Hanchu's Life and Death Immortal Sword appeared in his hand. He looked at the six individuals opposite him and said, "This may be your burial ground."
Qin Hanchu's reaction surprised the six. Although Qin Hanchu and his companions possessed more advanced laws, they had a clear numerical disadvantage. Typically, those in a weaker position would not court danger; they would choose to mitigate losses. Qin Hanchu and his companions' resolute stance was rather unusual.
"You're still this arrogant after arriving in the world of Dominators?" the leader scoffed. "You'll soon learn that arrogance is worthless here. Facing danger, bowing your head and ensuring survival is the proper path. Today, we will teach you the rules of the world of Dominators." With that, the leader also produced his immortal artifact.
The six opponents consisted of four individuals with Five Elements laws, and two with Wind Law and Corrosion Law.
"Very well, I shall learn," Qin Hanchu responded. As his voice faded, Qin Hanchu struck first. Qin Hanchu's Life and Death Immortal Sword erupted with a grayish-blue glow, and a beam of life and death sword energy slashed towards the six. The leader of the opposing group, possessing the Wind Law, fanned his folding fan, sending a gale towards Qin Hanchu's life and death sword energy.
Boom...
The collision of forces sent a terrifying explosion outwards. If this were in the Great World, the surrounding trees would have been completely destroyed. However, in the world of Dominators, the residual shockwaves from the collision only caused the trees to vibrate and shed their leaves. This indicated that the vegetation here also contained the power of laws.
"Be careful," Qin Hanchu warned Axing before charging forward with his sword. Axing waved his hand, and the Samsara Immortal Disk beside him transformed into a massive formation. With the emergence of the formation, Axing's Samsara Law was unleashed.
Swish, swish, swish... The Samsara Law transformed into countless immortal swords that shot towards the six opponents. Ancestor Baili and Dragon Lord also attacked, their distinct offensive methods flying out from the formation created by the Samsara Immortal Disk. As they three engaged, the six opponents also moved. The free-for-all battle officially commenced.
"Feint weakness first, then launch a counterattack together to catch them off guard," Dragon Lord transmitted. Neither Qin Hanchu nor Axing used their strongest martial skills. Because of this, their group appeared to be at a disadvantage.
"Haha..." the enemy leader laughed triumphantly. "Your laws are indeed excellent, but with a numerical disadvantage, you cannot win."
