Liu Yifeng and Peng Zhou toured the entire greenhouse equipment. They felt the technology had matured and could be put into full use.
"It's fine, I think it's feasible. I wonder what Mr. Liu's thoughts are?" Peng Zhou was very satisfied. After all, it was his suggestion, and he finally had something to put over Liu Yifeng.
Liu Yifeng also nodded, "I have always supported Mr. Peng's ideas. It was precisely because I understood Mr. Peng's business acumen that I chose to cooperate with you. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't be standing here talking so peacefully."
This was truly a loaded statement, and only Peng Zhou himself could understand it.
"Hahaha, Mr. Liu is still as humorous as ever. Very well, then I wish our cooperation continued success." Peng Zhou extended his hands, offering a friendly handshake to Liu Yifeng.
With others present, Liu Yifeng couldn't refuse and could only respond with a smile, "I hope we can cooperate more in the future."
With most matters settled, Liu Yifeng didn't linger. He had other, more important matters to attend to.
Upon returning home, he was surprised to find Su Wanru waiting for him.
"Something's up?"
Knowing the connection between Liu Chunsheng and the Su family, Liu Yifeng tried to prevent them from meeting. Now, he found himself encountering a member of the Su family in his own home without his knowledge.
"Tong Tong called me over," Su Wanru said. Just then, Tong Tong came out with Liu Chunsheng.
"Dad, you're back too. That's great, I want to announce something while Grandpa and Auntie are here. Because you are all the most important people to me, I want you to know."
Liu Chunsheng was clearly reluctant but gave his grandson some face, not making things too difficult.
"Go ahead. Since my eldest grandson has something to say, Grandpa will definitely support him wholeheartedly," Liu Chunsheng's tone was quite gentle.
Tong Tong smiled at him, then cleared his throat like a little adult, "It's like this, Tong Tong has finished kindergarten and wants to go to first grade now. I heard Dad say before that he found a school for Tong Tong, and Tong Tong is very happy about it. I want to start attending school as soon as possible."
Liu Yifeng could guess Tong Tong's intention. Su Wanru was also aware of this, so she didn't strongly object. All eyes were now on Liu Chunsheng.
"What are you looking at me for! Since my eldest grandson wants to go to school, can I, as his grandfather, not let him go?" He then rolled his eyes at them.
It was obvious he was unwilling, but he had to agree to maintain face for Tong Tong.
Seeing Liu Chunsheng's expression, Liu Yifeng really wanted to laugh. However, with so many people present, if he laughed, he would surely lose face. He managed to hold back.
Clearing his throat, he said, "Alright, then this matter is decided. Wanru and I will contact the school as soon as possible to get Tong Tong enrolled quickly."
"Okay, Dad, thank you. Auntie, thank you too. And most importantly, thank you, Grandpa. With Grandpa's support, Tong Tong's studies will surely reach new heights."
Tong Tong said this and ran into Liu Chunsheng's arms, giving him a big kiss. This instantly melted away the slight bit of resentment in his heart.
Watching Tong Tong and his grandfather interact so harmoniously, Su Wanru felt a complex mix of emotions. She wondered if the appearance of their family would seem too sudden to Tong Tong. Perhaps they had only considered their own feelings and not Tong Tong's.
As it was getting late, Su Wanru repeatedly declined Tong Tong's invitation to stay for dinner. Although she wished to dine with Tong Tong, she felt it was best to leave given the situation with Liu Chunsheng.
"I apologize if my father's demeanor made you uncomfortable today, but he's just like that. He doesn't mean any harm; it's mainly for Tong Tong's sake."
As Liu Yifeng walked Su Wanru to the door, he felt it was necessary to explain. He knew she understood, but he still offered an explanation out of kindness.
"Do I seem like such a petty person? If you continue to be so formal with me, I won't dare to visit Tong Tong anymore."
Hearing Su Wanru's words, Liu Yifeng smiled, "Okay, then be careful on your way back."
"Alright. Oh, and regarding the rumors, has Yun Duoer contacted you? I've called her, but she hasn't answered. I wanted to explain to her in person, but I haven't had the chance."
She was concerned about Yun Duoer, who was her sister. After all, her child had been photographed with her, and she was likely unhappy.
"She has, but don't worry. She doesn't blame you at all. Instead, she feels I didn't take good care of Tong Tong, allowing him to be exposed." Liu Yifeng looked at Su Wanru, his eyes dimming slightly.
Su Wanru nodded, knowing he didn't wish to dwell on matters related to Yun Duoer. She didn't ask further and bid him farewell.
Upon returning home, Liu Chunsheng sat in the living room with a stern expression.
He knew this was a disaster he couldn't escape.
"I swear, I had no idea about this matter. So, even if you're angry, there's nothing I can do. You can handle it however you see fit."
Rather than being interrogated, it was better to confess and seek leniency; this method was simple and effective.
Seeing his son's compliant attitude, Liu Chunsheng's anger had mostly subsided. Moreover, this matter was indeed beneficial to his eldest grandson, so he didn't say much more.
"I agree, but I have a condition: from now on, if there's anything regarding my eldest grandson and the Su family, I must be the first to know. You all discuss it amongst yourselves and then tell me. Am I the outsider? Are the Su family members now in charge of Tong Tong?"
What bothered Liu Chunsheng the most was that Tong Tong, his eldest grandson, was being managed by the Su family.
It wasn't that he disliked the Su family. He also wanted Tong Tong to have more relatives. However, the feeling of them interfering halfway was unpleasant for anyone.
Liu Yifeng nodded in agreement, "Don't worry, you'll definitely be the first to know from now on." He knew his old father simply wanted to be more involved in Tong Tong's affairs and harbored no ill will towards the Su family. Who wouldn't want more relatives? As people age, they tend to cherish liveliness more.
Liu Chunsheng snorted, then turned and went back to his room.
Liu Yifeng also checked the time; it was late. Yawning, he was about to return to his room when a pair of feet was revealed.
