Chapter 750 Resumption of Normalcy

Hearing his old father's words, and looking at his current self, dressed in pajamas, seemingly out of place with the hospital's scent.

"Dad, I'll trouble you for now." He said and left in slippers. Although much better, he still looked quite disheveled.

Three hours passed.

Tongtong gradually woke up, his blurry eyes opening. He indeed looked much better than before.

"Dada, where am I?" Looking at the ceiling, he still felt very weak.

"Tongtong, Dada is sorry you had a stomachache and went through so much suffering." Liu Yifeng felt heartbroken, the more he spoke, the more he felt he had failed him.

Tongtong smiled faintly, "Dada, Tongtong doesn't like seeing you like this when he's uncomfortable. It will affect my recovery."

Hearing Tongtong say this, Liu Yifeng's face instantly lit up with a smile, "No, Dada won't say that anymore. Dada doesn't want Tongtong to be uncomfortable."

Tongtong didn't speak, just nodded. Perhaps his body was still not fully recovered, and he gradually closed his eyes. It was evident he still needed rest.

It wasn't until evening that Tongtong woke up. Liu Yifeng was indeed worried. However, after asking the doctor, he was told it was normal. As long as he slept until he woke up naturally, his energy would be almost fully restored.

"Tongtong, Tongtong, come, Grandpa stewed some millet porridge. Can you open your eyes and eat a little first?" Liu Yifeng tried to call out to Tongtong in the evening.

His groggy appearance truly worried Liu Yifeng.

"Dad, you should go back. I'm fine here." He saw Liu Chunsheng sitting in the hospital corridor outside the ward, looking worn and weathered.

He suddenly felt like a failure. Why did what should have been a happy day turn out like this? What food caused the poisoning?

"I'm fine. It's you who's running around before you're fully recovered. I said I could do it, but you wouldn't let me. Ah, I'm the only one who's fine and can't help at all."

Liu Chunsheng felt terrible. Looking at his grandson's discomfort, he wished he could suffer in his place.

"Dad, don't say that. This has nothing to do with any of us. Don't worry, I'll investigate thoroughly after Tongtong is discharged."

Seeing the few more white hairs on Liu Chunsheng's head, he wished he could investigate and uncover the truth right now, to see what their intentions were. Such food could truly harm many people.

Liu Chunsheng said nothing, only sighing.

In the latter half of the night, Liu Yifeng could no longer stay awake and fell asleep on the bed next to Tongtong's. Liu Chunsheng watched Liu Yifeng rest before he could finally relax.

He was also afraid his son might have more problems, as he hadn't fully recovered. Fortunately, he was resting now, and the heavy stone in his heart had been lifted.

As soon as the sky began to lighten, Liu Chunsheng went home to make some light millet porridge for his son and grandson.

"You're awake, Tongtong. How are you feeling?" As soon as he arrived at the hospital, he saw Tongtong waking up.

Tongtong nodded, appearing much more energetic.

"Here, quickly, look, Grandpa made Tongtong's favorite millet porridge." While speaking, he spoon-fed Tongtong.

Perhaps because he hadn't eaten for two days, Tongtong ate with great relish.

"Grandpa, did Dada take care of me all day yesterday? How is Dada's health?" Tongtong looked at Liu Yifeng sleeping soundly in the next bed and whispered to Liu Chunsheng, looking genuinely tired.

Liu Chunsheng also looked and nodded, "Yes, Dada was very worried about you. But don't worry, Tongtong, he's almost recovered. He's just too tired. Let him rest more. After he wakes up and eats some millet porridge like you, he'll be fully recovered, and we can be discharged."

Liu Chunsheng gently coaxed Tongtong, trying to get him to eat more so he could recover faster.

As Tongtong finished the last bite, Liu Yifeng woke up.

"Dada, you're awake. How do you feel? Are you better? Come quickly and eat the millet porridge Grandpa made. Tongtong just finished and feels much better now. Dada, hurry!"

After Liu Yifeng woke up, hearing Tongtong's voice immediately perked him up.

"Tongtong, Dada is fine. How do you feel?" Liu Yifeng went directly to Tongtong, felt his little face, and only then was he completely at ease when he saw there were no problems.

Liu Chunsheng saw Liu Yifeng's worried expression and felt a pang of sympathy.

"Come and eat something. I made some for both of you. Tongtong already finished. You, as the father, need to set an example."

Liu Yifeng was finally relieved, picked up the millet porridge Liu Chunsheng had made, and drank it down in three seconds.

"You're drinking too fast. The doctor said to chew slowly. How can you set an example for the child like this?" Liu Chunsheng said this, but his heart was very happy.

Seeing his son and grandson recover, he was truly relieved and let out a long sigh.

Three days later.

Liu Yifeng and Tongtong had both basically recovered and were discharged from the hospital.

The most important thing now was to check on the people who had eaten at their house that day and fell ill. After all, the problem occurred at their home, so he felt it was necessary to explain.

"How are you feeling? Much better?" Lu Fei had mostly recovered the next day. The company couldn't be without him, and with Liu Yifeng taking care of Tongtong, he had to go to the company to handle matters for now.

Liu Yifeng had not informed Lu Fei when he came to the company and was quite shocked to see him there.

"Much better. Thank you for these past few days." Liu Yifeng truly wanted to thank him upon seeing Lu Fei.

"And, I'm sorry." Especially seeing him busy running around for the company made him feel even more embarrassed.

Lu Fei frowned, "Mr. Liu, you're not going to fire me, are you? You look really scary. It's such a small matter to apologize for. Besides, it wasn't your fault. Everyone believes you and is waiting for your investigation. So you don't need to go around apologizing to everyone individually."

Lu Fei knew he would be like this. He had already handled this before he was discharged.

"Thank you so much."

Hearing Lu Fei say this, Liu Yifeng knew he had done what he intended to do.

Lu Fei simply waved his hand, said nothing, and walked out of the office. This Liu Yifeng was indeed unsettling.

However, the most important thing now was to find out what caused the poisoning. They had also eaten organic vegetables from their company that day. Could it be that?
