Chapter 632 Perhaps Later

If Su Wanru knew she had returned, she would be extremely excited. So he took out his phone and immediately sent Su Wanru a message.

Upon seeing the message, Su Wanru appeared exceptionally excited: "Has she really come?"

"Can this be false? She's sitting right next to me. Do you want to come over and talk to her?"

After her initial excitement, Su Wanru calmed down considerably: "Perhaps not. Although I am her older sister, she doesn't know this. Approaching her rashly will only cause her to feel repulsed. We should wait for a suitable opportunity to meet her!"

"But if you don't come this time, you don't know when you'll see her again!" Liu Yifeng replied quickly.

"Can you help me ask how long she'll be staying here?" Liu Yifeng looked at the person beside him who remained silent and decided to help Su Wanru ask. After all, she was Tongtong's maternal aunt, and she was so good to Tongtong.

He still hoped she could be reunited with her own sister sooner rather than later; he didn't have many other thoughts.

With this in mind, he put down his phone and moved closer to Yun Duo'er.

Yun Duo'er looked at the person sitting closer to her, her expression somewhat wary. However, with so many people around, she couldn't get angry.

"Miss Yun, didn't you leave C City yesterday? How did you return so quickly?" Liu Yifeng asked politely. In public, he had to appear polite and distant to avoid arousing suspicion.

Yun Duo'er replied politely as well: "Today is Song Yicheng's funeral. As his specially invited guest, I naturally had to attend!"

"Indeed, when something like this happens, none of us can do anything about it. When will you be leaving?"

"What, do you have something to do?" Yun Duo'er asked.

"No, I was just curious. Is it inconvenient to say?" Liu Yifeng shook his head.

Yun Duo'er didn't deliberately hide anything: "I came here specifically to attend Song Yicheng's funeral. After it's over, I'll be leaving this afternoon!"

"Oh, then I wish you a smooth journey!" Liu Yifeng said no more and turned to reply to Su Wanru's message.

"She said she's leaving this afternoon. If you're sure you won't come, you'll have to find another opportunity to meet her later."

Su Wanru had not intended to meet her so soon, but she could no longer suppress her desire to see her. She immediately replied: "Give me the address. Even if I can't talk to her, just seeing her from afar would be good."

So, Liu Yifeng immediately sent her the address. Upon receiving it, Su Wanru left the hotel where she was staying and took a taxi directly to the location.

Fearing the funeral would end, she urged the driver to hurry all the way. The driver knew the address and assumed it was for a deceased family member or friend, so he drove very quickly.

What would normally take twenty minutes took just over ten. As she got out of the car, Su Wanru threw a hundred-yuan bill to the driver and told him to keep the change before alighting.

The driver, holding the hundred-yuan bill, was in a particularly good mood, as such situations were not common.

After Su Wanru got out, he turned the car around to pick up other passengers. Although he had earned a hundred yuan in just over ten minutes, he still had to continue earning money; a hundred yuan wouldn't make him rich.

Meanwhile, after getting out of the taxi, Su Wanru walked quickly to the entrance of the funeral venue but hesitated to go in.

After all, she was not related to Song Yicheng and had no formal standing to enter, so she could only stand outside and watch from a distance.

Liu Yifeng was also paying attention to the situation at the entrance. He finally spotted Su Wanru and walked over to her.

"Wanru, why are you here so quickly? Do you want to go inside?"

"No, I just came to see her. I have no other intentions!"

Liu Yifeng nodded in agreement: "Indeed, slow and steady wins the race. The timing isn't right for a reunion now, and it could easily be counterproductive. She's leaving this afternoon, and there isn't enough time!"

"Don't worry about me. You should go in quickly. I'll leave after she comes out." Su Wanru didn't want to delay Liu Yifeng's important business.

The memorial service was about to begin. Liu Yifeng didn't say much more to her and immediately turned to go inside.

Su Wanru continued to stand at the entrance, constantly watching Yun Duo'er.

Because Yun Duo'er's back was to Su Wanru, she was unaware that someone was watching her.

As Su Wanru looked at Yun Duo'er's retreating figure, her heart was filled with mixed emotions. She had finally found the sister she had been searching for so desperately for many years, yet she couldn't reveal herself.

She wondered if Yun Duo'er would be able to accept the truth when she learned it.

Did she herself know that she had been given away by her biological parents?

She had so many questions that she desperately wanted answers to, but she couldn't ask them now.

The memorial service lasted for twenty minutes before concluding. The guests attending the funeral offered their condolences to Song's parents and then left the venue one by one.

Yun Duo'er also exchanged a few words with Song's mother and cast another glance at Song Yicheng's portrait before turning to walk towards the main entrance.

To be honest, Song Yicheng's death didn't affect her much. People died every day in the world, and she couldn't grieve excessively for someone she wasn't related to.

She had her career and was incredibly busy; she simply didn't have the time to be saddened by someone else's misfortune.

Therefore, she sometimes couldn't understand how people who were distressed by the death of others had so much leisure time. They were too busy with their own affairs and weren't living well, so where did they find the time to care about others?

The reason she attended Song Yicheng's funeral was to avoid being criticized by the media for not attending as his specially invited guest after the news broke, which could have negatively impacted her public image. Otherwise, she wouldn't have wasted a whole day traveling back and forth so laboriously.

As she walked out the door, she saw Liu Yifeng's friend, someone who claimed to be her fan.

Although this person's gaze was a bit strange, she didn't think much of it. After all, she was a celebrity, and it was natural for ordinary people to be a little uncivilized when they saw her.

As Yun Duo'er was about to walk past her, Su Wanru couldn't help but call out to her: "Duo'er!"

"Hello!" Yun Duo'er smiled politely at her but found her way of addressing her somewhat strange. Why was she so intimate? Hadn't they only met twice?

"Do you have time this afternoon? I'd like to invite you to lunch!" Su Wanru asked.

Yun Duo'er said apologetically: "I'm sorry, I have a flight to catch this afternoon, so I'm afraid lunch will be too rushed. Perhaps another time!"

She didn't recall incorrectly; wasn't this woman Liu Yifeng's friend? And perhaps even his girlfriend? Inviting her to lunch was likely a way to assert her dominance, wasn't it? In any case, she had no intention of wasting her time here.

"Okay, it's a deal then!" Su Wanru had guessed this would be the outcome.

Even if she weren't rushing for a flight, she probably wouldn't have agreed to have lunch with her!
