Chapter 556 The Barefoot Fear Not the Shoed

"How dare you bully a child when you're an adult?" the woman complained, looking displeased at the man.

"So what if I did? What's it to you, brat? You haven't even grown any hair and you're already playing the hero?" the man sneered, shoving Tong Tong.

To his surprise, no matter how hard he pushed, Tong Tong remained as still as a mountain.

The man was stunned. He couldn't believe he, an adult, couldn't move a child, nor could he fathom that such a young child could withstand his strength.

Just then, Xu Muqing walked over. She scooped up Yaoyao and Tong Tong into her arms, glaring at the man. "What kind of person are you, resorting to violence against children? Are you even a man?"

Seeing her mother, Yaoyao couldn't hold back her tears anymore. "Waa... Mommy, I didn't bully anyone! Uncle is framing me and pushed me!"

Hearing her daughter's cries, Yun Duo'er's heart ached. She rested her chin on Yaoyao's head, gently patting her back. "It's okay, Yaoyao. Mommy won't let anyone frame you."

The man was captivated by Xu Muqing's beauty, but the thought of his own daughter being bullied made him regain his arrogant demeanor. "Your daughter bullied my daughter, so what if I pushed her? You owe me a satisfactory explanation, or else we're not done!"

"Mom, I really didn't. She tried to snatch the ball from my hand, and when she couldn't, she fell and blamed me for bullying her!"

"Aunt Xu, Yaoyao didn't say anything wrong. She was the one who tried to snatch the toy first, and then she fell and blamed Yaoyao!" Tong Tong chimed in.

Xu Muqing naturally believed her daughter. She looked at the man and asked, "Now, do you have anything else to say?"

"These two children are clearly lying!" the man declared, then turned to his daughter. "Daughter, tell your daddy how she bullied you. Don't be afraid, Daddy will get you justice, so no one can bully you for nothing!"

The girl retorted righteously, "The ball in her hand was mine. She tried to snatch my ball, and when I didn't let her, she pushed me down."

"Did you hear that? Your daughter snatched my daughter's ball and pushed my daughter down, and now she's blaming us! At such a young age, she's already learned to lie. What will she be like when she grows up!" The man, completely believing his daughter, was convinced that Yaoyao had bullied his daughter.

Liu Yifeng and Xia Qianqian, who had followed, had already grasped the situation.

Liu Yifeng knew that in such matters, both sides had their own arguments.

The best solution was to rely on surveillance footage to uncover the truth.

He gestured to a staff member who seemed unsure of how to handle the situation, asking her to bring everyone to review the footage.

Upon hearing about reviewing the footage, the man immediately erupted in anger. "The facts are right in front of us, and you still want to check the surveillance? Are you trying to exonerate yourselves and find excuses?"

"Since neither party was present, and the children's accounts differ, I believe the best approach is to review the surveillance. People can lie, but surveillance cannot."

Liu Yifeng's words left the man speechless. However, he didn't want to waste time, and more importantly, he feared that the truth would prove the children right, making him appear in the wrong.

He then turned his aggression towards Liu Yifeng. "Who the hell are you? Is it your place to meddle in this?"

"Regardless of who I am, if you're afraid to review the surveillance, it means you're guilty and you don't believe what your child is saying!"

This remark further enraged the man. Without a word, he clenched his fist and prepared to punch Liu Yifeng.

In C City, he was a person of some standing. No one dared to speak to him like that.

However, before his fist could reach Liu Yifeng, his wrist was seized. With a gentle squeeze, he felt a piercing pain in his wrist.

"Ouch, my hand! Let go immediately!"

Liu Yifeng casually flicked his wrist, sending the man staggering backward with a force.

"You dare hit me? I'm calling the police to arrest you!" the man roared.

Liu Yifeng remained unfazed, his expression calm. "Go ahead and call the police if you want. You laid hands on me first, and I didn't even injure you.

Let's see if the police find me guilty or you guilty."

The man knew he had initiated the physical confrontation. But having lost face in front of so many people, he couldn't bear the thought of this spreading.

"I can put this matter aside for now, but you must give me an explanation regarding my daughter's incident!" he shifted the topic.

Xu Muqing was not one to back down easily. Although they were in an unfamiliar place, not her home turf, she remained fearless.

"As I said, let's review the surveillance. If my daughter is at fault, I will apologize and offer compensation.

But if your daughter is in the wrong, then you must apologize to my daughter and this gentleman's son!"

The man looked down at his daughter. "Daughter, did she really snatch your toy first and then push you?"

The little girl nodded. "Yes, it's her fault!"

This girl was clearly accustomed to getting her way and refused to admit her mistake.

Seeing her daughter's firm affirmation, the man immediately agreed to review the surveillance.

The staff member retrieved five minutes of footage prior to the time the little girl started crying.

The surveillance footage was crystal clear. The little girl saw the ball in Yaoyao's hand and tried to snatch it. Yaoyao refused, and she persisted. When she failed to grab the ball, she exerted too much force and fell backward due to inertia, then began to cry.

The subsequent footage showed the man pushing Yaoyao.

The surveillance made the situation clear. The man was utterly embarrassed and furious at his daughter for lying.

He immediately spanked her several times. "Let that be a lesson! Let that be a lesson!"

Still not satisfied, he kicked his daughter to the ground, causing her to cry again.

Liu Yifeng disapproved of his parenting method. "Your child is still so young. When she makes a mistake, you should reason with her. Why resort to physical punishment?"

The man, far from appreciating the advice, retorted indignantly, "What my daughter does is none of your business!"

"How you educate your daughter is none of our business, but we hope you will stand by your word and apologize to my daughter and this young boy immediately!"

To their surprise, the man turned rogue. "I've already disciplined my daughter. Why should I apologize?"

With that, he attempted to leave with his daughter.

However, Liu Yifeng wouldn't let him go that easily. He blocked their path, moving wherever the man tried to go.

The man was provoked. "What do you want? Do you know who I am?"

"I don't care who you are. Apologize to the two children now!" Liu Yifeng stated firmly.

The man, equally stubborn, replied word for word, "And if I refuse?"

"Then you won't leave today. I have all the patience in the world to wait you out!"

The man was surprised by Liu Yifeng's tenacity and realized he couldn't win a physical confrontation. Reluctantly, he uttered a 'sorry' before leaving the amusement park.

After the man left, a staff member whispered, "You must be from out of town, right? That gentleman is not to be trifled with. If you're here for tourism, I advise you to leave immediately!"

"This is a society governed by law. Does he think he can still operate like a gangster?" Liu Yifeng was unconcerned. With his current abilities, how many people could truly bully him?

Seeing Liu Yifeng in a jovial mood, the staff member became anxious. "I'm serious. This man is a businessman with connections in both legitimate and illegitimate circles.

He just didn't have his entourage with him today, or he wouldn't have left like this. You should leave before he retaliates!"

"Thank you for the warning, but we're not afraid!" Liu Yifeng hadn't known the meaning of fear since he single-handedly dealt with five or six people.

Wasn't Xiong Ruiming's mother the same, acting so presumptuously because of her husband's status? In the end, she was arrested.

As for this man, no matter his identity, Liu Yifeng was a 'barefoot' who wasn't afraid of those wearing shoes, especially since he hadn't done anything wrong. He refused to believe he could be harmed.

If the man dared to retaliate, he would have to face the consequences. Liu Yifeng was no pushover; it would be a fight to the bitter end, and he would see who could outlast whom.
