Su Ying, as per her biological clock, woke up on time the next day.
After getting up and finishing her morning routine, she checked the time on her phone. She still had fifty minutes before work started.
The commute from her place to the studio took forty minutes.
This meant she had ten minutes left for breakfast.
Su Ying changed into her clothes, put on her makeup, grabbed a carton of milk from the refrigerator, and headed downstairs.
Fu Zheng was already waiting downstairs.
"Ms. Su," Fu Zheng stepped forward and opened the car door for her.
Once Su Ying was in the car, Fu Zheng produced a bag from the back seat as if by magic. "This is breakfast I made myself. It's a bit much. If you don't mind, Ms. Su, you could have some to tide you over."
"You can cook?" Su Ying looked at him with disbelief.
Fu Zheng scratched his head sheepishly. "I grew up with my grandmother, so I picked up a few things."
Su Ying picked up one of the buns, its skin thin and filling generous, and took a bite. She nodded continuously. "This tastes no less than hotel quality!"
With that, she finished the bun in a few bites.
"I wasn't sure what flavors you liked, so I brought a bit of everything," Fu Zheng said, his smile widening as he saw her enjoying it. "If you feel choked, there's corn porridge inside, and it's warm."
Su Ying cast a look of approval at him. "You're quite something, kid! Whoever becomes your girlfriend in the future will be very lucky!"
Fu Zheng stammered, his ears turning red, and he turned his head away without a reply.
Su Ying rarely ate breakfast, so she felt a bit full.
Upon arriving at the company building, Su Ying was refreshed and once again transformed into a formidable businesswoman.
"Good morning, Ms. Su!"
"Morning!"
They entered the elevator one after another, encountering many colleagues who had arrived earlier.
Su Ying was always serious when working. Employees tended to avoid her like mice spotting a cat whenever they saw her. However, Su Ying didn't lose her temper arbitrarily and judged people based on their actions, not their personalities. Although everyone was afraid of her, it was a fear mixed with respect, not terror.
As Su Ying entered her office with her bag, everyone else let out a collective sigh of relief.
"Little Fu, Ms. Su seems to be in a good mood today?" someone stopped Fu Zheng, asking in a low voice. "Did you land yesterday's order?"
Fu Zheng hummed in affirmation. "With Ms. Su handling it, it was naturally a success."
"I heard it was a multi-million dollar order, is that true?" the person asked again.
"Maple Leaf School's autumn uniform order, one thousand sets!" Fu Zheng said proudly, raising his chin and holding up one finger.
"Tsk tsk, as expected of Ms. Su! That client is notoriously picky!"
"Ms. Su's capabilities are outstanding and widely recognized. Choosing our studio was their wisest decision."
"Look at your expression, one would think you closed the deal yourself! Hahaha..." a colleague joked.
Fu Zheng replied nonchalantly, "As Ms. Su's assistant, can't I feel honored by association?"
"I say, are you simply admiring her, or..." The colleagues were all a bit older than Fu Zheng and occasionally made harmless jokes.
When Su Ying wasn't mentioned, Fu Zheng was quite normal. His responses were quick and sharp. But as soon as Su Ying was involved, he would stammer. "Wh-what are you talking about... It wouldn't be good if Ms. Su overheard!"
"Are you afraid, or do you not want to?"
"Ms. Su is so beautiful, wouldn't any man like her? What are you shy about!"
"Don't worry, we'll keep it a secret for you!"
"Do you want this big sister to give you some advice?"
Several other female colleagues also chimed in upon hearing the conversation.
Fu Zheng's face turned beet red from their teasing, and he vehemently denied it. "Don't joke like that! Ms. Su and I have a normal superior-subordinate relationship, it's not what you think!"
The young man's true feelings were deeply hidden. He was afraid that if the news reached Su Ying, she would distance herself from him.
The studio had no rules against dating, but from what he understood of his boss, she disliked mixing personal relationships with work. Therefore, to stay by his goddess's side, he would never admit it.
"It's time to work, everyone disperse," Fu Zheng said, feigning seriousness.
However, the female employees were more perceptive and could easily see his subtle affection. Especially when Su Ying was mentioned, his eyes would involuntarily light up, and his ears would turn red.
A fool would know he liked Ms. Su!
"It's quite popular now to have older-younger relationships, there's no need to fear gossip."
"If you really like her, you can give it a try!"
"Little brother, big sister is rooting for you, go for it!"
The girls winked and giggled as they returned to their workstations.
Though Fu Zheng didn't say anything, he spent quite some time composing himself.

He secretly glanced at Su Ying's office, his mind filled with unspoken thoughts.

On the day Han Yutong was filming her music video, Su He, as the boss, personally went to the set. Her stated reason was to supervise the work, but in reality, she was there to eavesdrop on gossip.
How did this gossip come about?
Well, that afternoon, she felt a bit full after lunch and decided to climb the stairs in the fire escape to aid digestion. Unexpectedly, she overheard some trainees chatting about gossip, and she faintly heard them mention the names Su Lin and Han Yutong. Su He didn't interrupt them and secretly listened.
"Are Su Lin and Han Yutong really together? Their interactions are so sweet!"
"I saw that preview too, they are so well-matched! I declare them the best on-screen couple of the last two years!"
"Yes, yes, you have no idea how crazy my classmates' group chat is about them!"
"When is this drama airing? I have to watch it!"
"Sister Yutong looks even more beautiful in person than on TV, her skin is like a peeled egg, not a single flaw, I'm so envious!"
"They say it's their first time acting, but their kissing scenes are so good, it would be a sin if they weren't together!"
Su He found it fascinating to hear gossip about her younger brother.
"They seem to have matching bracelets too, one is a key and the other a lock!"
"More than that, they've taken photos at the same spot!"
"I suspect they've taken their on-screen romance off-screen!"
She was surprised that these girls could weave such a passionate love story just from their imaginations.
Su He covered her mouth, almost letting out a laugh.
Coincidentally, on the day of the shoot, Xu Jing had to take other artists to a variety show audition, so she couldn't be there. Su He, being free, immediately stepped up and accompanied Han Yutong to the filming location.
Han Yutong was initially quite nervous, thinking that having her boss present would make her anxious during the shoot.
However, Su Lin was very good at filming and exceptionally skilled at setting the mood. Han Yutong naturally got into character.
Su He sat on a low stool next to the director, watching the two perform, and found it hard to leave.
