Chapter 115: The World Government’s Desire
"A soldier?" Alucard sat on a chair made of special velvet, legs crossed, hands clasped on his knees, gazing at the woman named Aliya.
"Yes," Aliya nodded. "I’m the Second Military Unit Commander of the Exeter Kingdom, in charge of the firearms division."
If she weren’t wearing a military uniform but a gown, no one would believe this stunning woman was a soldier.
After answering, Aliya closed and locked the door. Then, she slowly shed her military uniform, revealing her graceful figure beneath. She truly was a soldier; though her arms weren’t excessively muscular, they were incredibly firm, showing she possessed considerable physical prowess.
"Why were you sent?" Alucard asked with interest.
"Because there are few women more beautiful than me in the Exeter Kingdom," Aliya stated with immense confidence.
Most women, unless they were courtesans, wouldn’t be as calm and composed as Aliya in such a situation. Her composure and indifference weren’t feigned. Her ability to act this way must have been driven by her duty as a soldier, or perhaps Hyd held some leverage over her, compelling her.
"Hmmm..."
Alucard suddenly raised a hand towards Aliya.
Without her even realizing it, she heard Alucard’s voice echoing in her ears, and she answered him sentence by sentence.
When Aliya came to, a look of shock spread across her face.
’Why? Why did I answer all his questions without holding anything back? Those were secrets that should have been hidden in the deepest parts of my heart, yet I just revealed them all to this man!’
"I never expected to accidentally uncover such a massive secret," Alucard said with an evil grin. "The descendant of the Concordia Kingdom royal family, Andoria Alessia."
He had only intended to use "Charm" to control this woman and ask her what method she planned to use to kill him.
Seduce him with her beauty, then poison him? Or perhaps a bomb implanted in her body? Or seize an opportunity during intercourse to stab him through the heart?
This was all Alucard originally wanted to know. But he never expected to uncover such an astonishing secret with "Charm."
This woman had completely deceived the Exeter Kingdom. Her real name wasn’t Aliya at all, but Andoria Alessia. She was a descendant of the Concordia Kingdom royal family, which had been destroyed by the World Government twenty years ago.
Alucard had read a little about the Concordia Kingdom in books. It was called the "Sky Kingdom." This didn’t mean it was truly an island in the sky like the legendary Skypiea, but rather that the island had countless continuously winding, narrow, tiny, yet extremely high mountain peaks.
The kingdom was built among these peaks, with houses on every mountain. It would take a long time to descend and ascend, so the mountains were connected by specialized iron zip-line cable cars, allowing travel through the air between various places, hence it was called the "Sky Kingdom."
Twenty years ago, the kingdom was destroyed by the Government because its king was suspected of involvement in human modification research to make people fly, a grave violation of world law.
Alessia was a descendant of the royal Andoria family. Born not long before the incident twenty years ago, she was secretly swapped out and moved by her father, the king. It wasn’t until Alessia was ten that she, living in the Exeter Kingdom, learned all of this from the old military doctor who cared for her, just before he died.
The Concordia Kingdom wasn’t destroyed because of human experimentation; it was because something the World Government desperately craved was hidden there.
Alucard also knew something else: when he previously looked up information on the Pirate King, Roger, he discovered that Roger had also visited the Concordia Kingdom, but that seemed to be after the kingdom was destroyed.
After learning of the vendetta against her parents and nation, Alessia’s anger towards the Government naturally needed no further explanation. But she also knew that in the face of the behemoth that was the World Government, she was less than an ant. So, Alessia joined the military in this country, waiting for the opportune moment.
"That was my ability just now," Alucard said, looking up. "Put your clothes back on. More than your body, I’m now more interested in what the World Government truly desires."
Although Alessia’s body was incredibly alluring, full and firm, and perfectly sculpted due to her military background, if he wanted women, he could find them anytime.
The secret the World Government craved, however, wasn’t something he could just stumble upon.
Wearing only her underwear, Alessia bit her red lip, motionless for a long moment. At this, Alucard spoke again, "Since that’s the case, I’ll just control you again."
Hearing Alucard say this, Alessia gave up resisting. She quickly put on her military uniform and draped her cape over her shoulders.
"Alright, tell me, what is it that the World Government wants?" Alucard asked.
Alessia glanced around. Alucard confirmed, "No eavesdroppers."
Alessia closed her eyes for a moment, then finally said in a deep voice, "To be honest, I don’t know what it is."
"Oh?" A flicker of surprise crossed Alucard’s eye.
"Over these past ten years, I’ve returned to the ruins of Concordia multiple times. Finally, three years ago, I found what my father had hidden, but I discovered it wasn’t some ultimate weapon as I’d imagined. Instead, it was a stone tablet, a massive red stone tablet." Alessia recalled, "A huge, cuboid, crimson stone tablet covered in strange writing."
