Kuroobi noticed them the moment Kouta and the other appeared, recognizing they were no ordinary humans. Kouta and the other's eyes were too calm, so calm they were indifferent, looking at them as if they were fish ready for slaughter. He hated that look, a look he'd often felt in his homeland.
So, before Guina could even turn her head, just as she dodged Chu's water bubbles, he quickly charged forward. With his extensive combat experience, he wouldn't miss such an opportunity. He intended to finish off this human girl in an instant, then face the boy behind her. His instincts, honed by his beastly nature, told him the silver-haired boy was too dangerous.
"Fish-Man Karate: Arm Strength Slash!"
Kuroobi, already larger than an average human, stood before Guina like a giant. His muscular body completely enveloped her in shadow. He raised his arm, revealing the sharp, scythe-like fin on his elbow, and ferociously slashed downwards, diagonally towards Guina's neck.
Guina's eyes flashed red. She turned and ducked, narrowly evading the fierce strike. She moved forward, slipping under Kuroobi's arm.
*Clang—!*
Standing behind Kuroobi, Guina quickly drew her sword, flicked her wrist, gripped the hilt in reverse, and thrust it upwards and backwards. Without a second glance at Kuroobi, she moved towards the group of fish-men.
After Guina had taken three or four steps, Kuroobi, who had been frozen in the motion of slashing with his fin, suddenly lost all support. His legs gave out, and his body rapidly fell towards the ground.
*Thump—!*
A dull thud echoed as his body hit the ground, kicking up a faint cloud of dust. Kuroobi, sprawled on the ground, stared with wide, unresitant eyes. He was a fish-man! How could he fall so easily at the feet of a human? He tried to struggle, but it was futile; the more he fought, the faster his life ebbed away. Blood spurted from his mouth, eyes, and ears like a fountain, soon staining a large area beneath him crimson. Finally, his body convulsed a few times before he lay still, the last spark of life extinguished from his eyes.
Only then did everyone see the diagonal, upward piercing wound on the back of Kuroobi's head.
"Kuroobi."
Chu, also a cadre and having come from the Grand Line with him, his face changed, looking at Guina with horror. Facing such a strong opponent brought back memories of Fish-Man Island, when he was just a nobody, hiding behind Captain Arlong. Since coming to the East Blue, he hadn't encountered a feeling that made his whole body tremble. There were no fierce pirates here, no slave traders, and certainly no Celestial Dragons; it was like paradise.
Behind the village road, the villagers stared with wide eyes, as if they had witnessed something incredible.
"Hey! Are you kidding me? She took down an Arlong Pirate crew executive with one blow."
A-ken stood beside Kouta, staring at Guina's retreating back in astonishment. "Is she really that strong? She's a monster who can defeat someone in one hit!" He then turned to Kouta, a burning light flashing in his eyes.
Kouta didn't turn around. He simply patted A-ken's shoulder and repeated, "I told you, we're very strong! Just watch!" This time, A-ken finally began to believe that Kouta and the others could indeed defeat Arlong. He turned back to Guina, his face filled with excitement. The human girl had not only easily dodged the killing moves of Chu and Kuroobi but had also dispatched Kuroobi with a single sword strike.
The fish-men standing behind Chu were both angry and terrified. Since arriving in the East Blue, there wasn't a single human they couldn't deal with. Even the Marines here had to cooperate with them, otherwise, crushing them would be as easy as crushing ants. Over time, the arrogant fish-men became more and more inflated and brutal. In their eyes, the humans of the East Blue were an inferior race, and they, the great Fish-Men, were their rulers. They treated the lives and deaths of humans as if they were raising pigs. They had completely forgotten how fearful and humble they had been in the Grand Line. Guina's appearance was like a basin of cold water doused on their heads, collectively reminding them of the terrifying humans of the Grand Line.
"You human, you're definitely not from the East Blue."
Chu, looking at Guina as she approached, his eyes were blood red. Guina stared at Chu coldly, her steps unwavering. It was that kind of gaze; he hated that gaze and was also deeply afraid of it.
"You inferior being, die!"
He widened his already blood-red eyes and roared in anger, as if doing so could dispel the fear in his heart.
"Hundred Shots Water Gun!"
He inhaled deeply and puffed out his cheeks, his lips vibrating rapidly like the barrel of a machine gun. Bubbles, like bullets, shot towards Guina. Guina didn't dodge. As she advanced towards the water bubbles, she swiftly swung her sword. A flash of sword light appeared. The water bubbles, which should have directly hit Guina, were instantly sliced in half by the sword light, scattering to the ground on either side of Guina, leaving small craters. In a flash, Guina had quickly advanced and stood before Chu. She coldly held her sword, ignoring Chu's now completely bloodshot eyes and his utterly terrified expression. Giving Chu no chance to retreat, she swiftly slashed upwards from below, aiming for his throat.
"Urgh...!"
Chu stood frozen in place, clutching his throat with both hands. His skin turned from green to red. He tried to make a sound, but couldn't. Then, as if all his strength had left him, he collapsed onto his knees and lunged forward.
*Thump—!*
He followed in Kuroobi's footsteps. Guina stood coldly beside Chu, flicking her sword downwards to shake off the bloodstains.
"Chu!"
Seeing Chu convulsing on the ground, the remaining fish-men cried out in shock. Then, in terror, they fled towards the rear as if pursued by a monstrous beast.
From Guina's approach to the fish-men to the deaths of Kuroobi and Chu, it seemed long, but in reality, it had only taken about ten seconds. The villagers behind them, seeing the fish-men rushing towards them, quickly retreated to the sides of the village road. They then stared excitedly at Guina. Two strikes, and in just two strikes, this girl had effortlessly defeated two executives of the Arlong Pirate crew. They had never seen such a powerful human, nor had they ever seen such expressions on fish-men. So, fish-men could also be scared, terrified, and flee in disarray!
Guina stood in place, watching the fleeing fish-men, her eyes full of coldness. When it came to killing fish-men, her heart held no mercy. She sheathed her sword, bent her left knee, tightened her grip on the sword, and looked up at all the fish-men fleeing ahead. She gathered her strength and sprang forward.
*Whoosh—!*
Guina's body seemed to teleport, appearing in front of the fish-men. A flash of sword light swept across each fish-man, causing them to freeze in place as if struck by a paralysis spell.
*Ding—!*
"One Sword Style: All Things Slash!"
Then, the sound of Guina sheathing her sword echoed through the wind. It was this sound that broke the fish-men's paralysis.
*Puff—!*
A bloodline appeared around the waist of each fish-man. Then, their upper bodies were cleanly sliced sideways, spraying copious amounts of blood. Guina turned around, ignoring the fish-men who were now all bisected, carefully dodging the rivers of blood on the ground, and headed towards Kouta.
