Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Have We Met Before

The hulking men nearby, holding steel pipes: "You’re lucky today, kid. The cops are coming, we don’t have time to deal with you. If we catch you meddling again, I’ll cripple you."

The men cursed as they turned and left.

James Grant raised his hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth, turned around, and looked at the woman opposite: "Are you okay?"

Summer Monroe stared with wide, watery eyes.

She wasn’t unfamiliar with this man, though today was their first meeting.

"Thank you for helping me..." Summer’s face was full of gratitude as she reached out to touch the corner of the man’s mouth. "Does it hurt a lot? Do you want to come to my place? I can bandage it for you."

Just as she finished speaking, a sneer sounded from beside them.

Evelyn Clayton walked over directly, a mocking curve on her lips, "No wonder they call you Eldest Young Master Grant. Your luck with women is phenomenal."

The man’s expression was dark; seeing Evelyn Clayton unharmed, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He reached out and pulled her into his arms, as if declaring sovereignty to the world: "Jealous?"

In the darkness, a trace of malice flashed in Summer’s eyes, the hatred was hard to conceal. She could only clench her fists tightly and look away.

Once her emotions gradually calmed down, she turned back, a harmless smile still on her face, and spoke softly.

"My surname is Monroe, Summer Monroe. May I know this gentleman’s name?"

"He’s called Lei Feng."

Evelyn Clayton answered first.

After speaking, she wrapped her arm around James Grant’s waist without a care.

The two turned and left, their long shadows intertwined.

However, they had barely taken two steps when they suddenly heard the woman’s icy voice from behind.

"Evelyn Clayton, James Grant, since when did you two become so close?"

Their steps halted, and their eyes met, filled with confusion.

They had never seen this woman before, how could she accurately say their names?

Evelyn Clayton turned her head to look at Summer Monroe.

"Miss Monroe, have we met before?"

"Whether we’ve met or not isn’t important. Tonight, I want to thank Mr. Grant, and as for Miss Clayton, I indeed want to say thank you too."

After speaking, Summer Monroe displayed a faint smile and walked in the opposite direction.

A luxury car was parked not far away.

The engine roared, and a few seconds later, the car disappeared from their sight.

Evelyn Clayton was puzzled: "James Grant, could this be one of your old flings come seeking revenge?"

James Grant also frowned; in his memory, he had never seen such a woman.

Failing to come up with an answer, Evelyn Clayton changed the subject.

"You had a good fight just now, but don’t forget why we’re here today."

Saying that, she turned, intending to go back to the club, but was suddenly pulled back by the man.

Turning her head, she saw James Grant gesture slightly towards a distance, "The person we are looking for has come out."

Sure enough, following his gaze, they saw a distributor not far away canoodling with a woman.

Evelyn Clayton felt it was unsightly but still approached for the sake of their mission.

"Sir, sorry to interrupt."

James Grant followed closely, looking at the short, fat middle-aged man with a stern expression, his aura fully expanded.

The distributor shivered in fear and pushed the woman in his arms away, his speech stammering, "Di... Director Grant, what brings you here? What a coincidence."
