Chapter 365: Be Extra Careful

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Be Extra Careful

There is exactly one week left until the opening of the Xiaomeng Exhibition 2.0.

Evelyn Clayton also completed the site drawings and handed them to the master for setting up at the exhibition, while she went to supervise.

Yara Reagan was at the new company with her fresh team, going over the exhibition procedures repeatedly.

Violet Ford came over to check things out and couldn’t help but smile when she saw the large company with only Yara and three employees,

"I have to say, although Franklin’s side can provide staff, you and Evelyn should still find two assistants for the exhibition, to make things proper." Violet softly reminded.

Yara was overwhelmed with work but had to humor Violet, laughing dryly, "I can be Evelyn’s assistant, it’s manageable. Besides, we’re already recruiting talent, but the company doesn’t have projects now, there’s no need to hire too many people."

"At least you should have a receptionist, secretary, and security, right?" Violet appeared to be having a casual chat, while surveying the office environment, "The decoration is nice, but it’s too empty."

Suddenly Violet seemed to perk up with interest and said, "How about this, I’ll send you two an assistant to help out. Don’t worry, I’ll cover the salary!"

Yara’s heart tightened.

The thing she and Evelyn worried about most had finally come.

But with Violet as a partner, they had no reason to refuse.

"Alright then, I’ll call Evelyn back, you can discuss this matter with her. I’m actually just an employee, haha." Yara laughed awkwardly, stiffly rejecting Violet for the moment.

Violet smiled mildly, didn’t say much, "Alright then, I’ll find a day to talk to Evelyn."

Later in the evening, Evelyn returned to the company.

Violet had already left, and Yara eagerly went to Evelyn’s office to tell her about the day’s events.

"It’s terrifying, is she trying to plant people in the company?" Yara had been increasingly paranoid lately.

Evelyn laughed and shook her head, "She has a twenty percent stake in the company, almost like a big boss. Even if she’s keeping an eye, it’s likely for the company’s betterment. No need to be too tense."

Last week, everyone signed the equity papers.

Evelyn held the largest share, forty-five percent, Yara had thirty percent, and the remaining five percent went to Franklin Ford.

This was also Violet’s request.

"So, you mean we’re agreeing?" Yara pursed her lips.

Evelyn thought for a moment and said, "Wait for her. If she comes again, just say I agreed."

After finally finishing work, it was already late at night.

Evelyn and Yara were both extremely tired, and they left the company building together.

As soon as they reached downstairs, they saw a familiar McLaren parked boldly by the flowerbed, as if waiting to corner someone.

Yara immediately recognized whose car it was and cautiously glanced at Evelyn.

Evelyn appeared calm, her expression indifferent, continuing to walk with Yara towards the other side.

Obviously, the person in the car had no intention of giving Evelyn this chance.

James Grant quickly got out of the car, blocking Evelyn’s path.

He stared intently at Evelyn, the deep eyes clearly filled with longing.

"Um, well, Evelyn, I’ll wait for you over there." Yara suddenly felt awkward and wanted to sneak away.

Evelyn originally intended to hold onto Yara but after some thought, decided to let go, a flash of annoyance in her eyes.

"James, why are you here again?" Evelyn said coldly, "Was my attitude not clear enough that day?"

James’ lips moved slightly, his voice husky and responding off-topic, "Did you and Violet go to see Summer Monroe?"

Evelyn’s demeanor remained cold, "So what? What’s it to you?"

"Evelyn, I’m just trying to warn you." James’ expression turned slightly cold, "Summer Monroe is far more ruthless and unscrupulous than she seems, you need to be extra careful."
