In Slu'er's eyes, a twenty-year-old was still just a child, gullible in everything they said. This gradually dispelled his lingering doubts about Chen Fan, even lowering Chen Fan's perceived threat level. After all, what was the use of strength in someone so naive, unable to escape his grasp?
This was Slu'er's inner thought, a smile slowly forming on his lips.
Chen Fan noticed this but pretended not to.
In Chen Fan's heart, Slu'er was now labeled a "harmful old man." He resolved to avoid frequent contact, lest he be dragged down without realizing it.
To outsiders, they appeared to be friends conversing. But only they knew it was a game of wits, or rather, the game of two old foxes.
A game where each believed the other to be a fool.
Chen Fan said what Chen Fan said, and Trull said what Trull said.
It was a case of "if you don't acknowledge my words, I won't acknowledge yours."
Slu'er, however, only believed Chen Fan didn't grasp the meaning behind his words, further underestimating him.
At one point, Slu'er even felt Chen Fan was a super fool who relied solely on brute force and lacked any strategic cunning.
Meanwhile, Chen Fan's mind wandered to different scenarios.
How could Bai Lin possibly have entrusted her whereabouts to someone else? Bai Lin, who wouldn't even trust her own sister, how could she possibly trust this Slu'er? It was utterly laughable. This was surely intelligence from a spy planted by the Knights of the Undead within Sector Thirteen.
"If you see me as a fool, then I'll see you as a fool too."
This was Chen Fan's inner thought, unexpressed.
The two then concluded their conversation.
"Oh, right, Chen Fan, when you head to the Middle East, I'll call someone to help you. To complete the mission, and even help you achieve it with a high score," Slu'er said. Da Feng Fiction Network.
Chen Fan's interest was piqued by Slu'er's words.
"Who are you planning to call for help?" Chen Fan asked, looking at Slu'er.
"The current leader of the Knights of the Undead, Omega," Slu'er replied.
"Omega?" Chen Fan feigned recognition of the name.
Seeing Chen Fan's reaction, Slu'er was inwardly startled.
"Have you met Omega?"
At this moment, Chen Fan chuckled.
"Just teasing you. How could I possibly know anyone from your Knights of the Undead? I don't have any extraordinary abilities."
As Chen Fan explained, Slu'er's tension eased.
After all, the current leader of the Knights of the Undead was better known by as few people as possible.
Based on Slu'er's assessment of Chen Fan's intelligence, if Chen Fan could know so casually, then Omega's situation would be dire, with the entire Sector Thirteen aware of him.
Chen Fan, in turn, understood Slu'er's calculations. Perhaps Omega was merely the nominal leader of the Knights of the Undead, not exceptionally powerful but certainly not weak. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been mentioned to Chen Fan or revealed, as becoming the leader of the Knights of the Undead made one a target in Sector Thirteen.
This was Chen Fan's conjecture.
"Right, don't you have a mission? Finish it quickly," Slu'er said.
Chen Fan was bewildered by Slu'er's urging.
"Me??? Here??? In front of you??? Kill them???"
Slu'er, seeing Chen Fan's misunderstanding and fearing he might act impulsively, quickly clarified.
"No, no, no, Mr. Chen, you should just watch their performance."
As Slu'er clapped his hands, the members of the Knights of the Undead suddenly spat out blood and collapsed into a "pool of blood."
Chen Fan was astonished by this sight.
"So you were all prepared," Chen Fan remarked.
He quickly grabbed his phone, sent his location, and began taking pictures.
Soon, within Sector Thirteen, Chen Fan's uploaded mission appeared in the mission hall.
"Completed so quickly?"
A commotion erupted in the mission hall.
Everyone in the hall crowded around the young woman responsible for Chen Fan's mission.
Staring at the completed mission on the computer screen, they all fell into deep thought.
Fortunately, Chen Fan hadn't misinterpreted this mission; it was indeed to eliminate all members of the Knights of the Undead in the base.
"This is too fast. Completing an A-class mission and an S-class mission in one day," one mission administrator exclaimed.
"This is beyond human capabilities," another mission administrator added.
Chen Fan's system also displayed:
"Due to Chen Fan completing the mission ahead of schedule, his merit points are tripled."
Chen Fan's profile then instantly updated:
"Level Three Department Leader"
Upgraded to
"Level Three Department Leader+"
He was now closer to achieving the rank of "Level Two Department Leader."
In a single day, one S-class mission and one A-class mission, which Chen Fan had initially misunderstood, were not only completed but over-fulfilled, causing the system to upgrade the A-class mission to S+ class.
The achievement had changed from eliminating a large gang entrenched in the streets to annihilating the Dong Sheng and Hong Xing large gangs.
