Chapter 633 The Dragon Clan's Banquet
Hao Ren's main goal in coming to Sangtu Suiv was to acquire the Wrathful Spirit, and now that this goal had been achieved, and Galazur had obtained the analytical equipment and technology needed to analyze the Wrathful Spirit, everyone was happy.
"I have to get back quickly," Hao Ren said goodbye to his new colleague, whom he had just met a day ago. "I'll leave this set of analysis equipment for you. If you find any special information, you can email me directly. You know I'm in charge of the Dream Plane."
Galazur was somewhat surprised. "So hurried?"
Hao Ren glanced at the Nangong siblings beside him. "I still have to help these two find their parents. Their parents were taken away by the Wrathful Spirit. I came here to find clues to reading the Wrathful Spirit's memories. Now that things are done, I have to go back quickly."
Nangong Wuyue and Nangong Sanba bowed deeply to Galazur to express their gratitude. The siblings seemed very excited. For the first time in many years, they felt that there was real hope for their parents' whereabouts. Galazur raised her eyebrows. "Then there's no need to rush for a day or two. You've come all the way from the First Galaxy. You should at least visit me and have a meal before you leave. I don't want to give people the impression that the Dragon Kingdom doesn't know etiquette."
Then she put her hands on her hips and puffed out her chest. "I have to remind you, such opportunities are rare. Dragons are rarely generous—the last time we entertained guests was six hundred years ago."
The Nangong siblings looked at each other and nodded slightly. Wuyue smiled at Hao Ren and said, "Then… let's not refuse her kindness."
Lily blinked and looked around, confirming that there was a meal to be had, and immediately happily tugged at Hao Ren's sleeve. "Let's go, let's go eat!"
Hao Ren helplessly looked at the husky beside him and spread his hands to Galazur. "In that case, it's hard to refuse such kindness—let's go."
Galazur led everyone back to the Gleaming Rock Mountain and then ordered a banquet to be held to entertain her friends. The banquet venue was in a huge square at the foot of the Gleaming Rock Mountain. This ancient and vast open space was where the dragons usually gathered, and its grandeur was beyond human imagination. Hao Ren felt as if he was standing on the runway of the capital airport eating barbecue, with endless plains of giant rocks in every direction. It was said that the dragons had leveled an entire mountain to create this gathering place, and looking at the towering and straight cliffs around the huge square, Hao Ren decided to believe this statement.
This was a novel and interesting experience for everyone: on the land of an alien planet, with the magnificent Dragon Mountain as a backdrop, participating in a feast with a group of dragons, this was a scene that only existed in mythological stories. This made Lily especially excited. Although she had participated in various alien feasts in Holletta, Xin Arui, and the Demon King's City, none of them could compare with the scene before her, for no other reason than—how big were the dragons! Eating a meal with them was simply thrilling!
The husky spirit was naturally fond of new things, and she had once again had her wish fulfilled.
The dragons were of course quite curious about the guests being entertained at this banquet. Hao Ren received many curious glances from the young dragons along the way. However, the Dragon Queen's orders had supreme authority here. Galazur ordered that the guests be treated well, so even if she wanted to hold a banquet to entertain a cat, no one would question it. Therefore, after the surrounding dragons curiously sized up the guests, they quickly put aside their doubts and began to enjoy the banquet to the fullest.
"Dragons like to party, at least on this planet," Galazur said in human form, accompanying the guests. She smiled and pointed to the huge creatures around her. "As long as there's a banquet, these guys won't ask about the details. They don't care who you're entertaining, nor do they care why you're holding the banquet—as long as there's a place to eat and make noise."
Lily held a huge piece of roasted meat and gnawed on it, her mouth full of oil, and she mumbled, "Yeah… I like this lifestyle!"
Hao Ren, like the others, sat on the ground. Eating among a group of huge creatures more than ten meters tall was a unique experience. He understood what Dou Dou's usual perspective on life was like—at least he understood what it felt like for the little merman to see the world at the dinner table. He looked at the food in front of him and found that the dragons' diet was unexpectedly… simple. It was all meat, and the only cooking method was barbecue. It seemed that these rough creatures didn't waste much time researching food culture, which made him understand why Galazur had been happily eating a lot of snacks before. It didn't seem to be just a nutritionist's problem…
"Roasted whole elephants, roasted whole cows, roasted whole camels, roasted whole whales… and roasted whole… I can't even recognize them," Nangong Sanba stared around with wide eyes. Everywhere he looked, there were huge bonfires and meat mountains that were ridiculously huge. The dragon's banquet was simply a strange journey. "Should I be glad that at least it's all cooked?"
Galazur smiled and shook her head. "Actually, some of the more traditional dragons still eat raw meat… Of course, they'll add salt."
As she spoke, she held up a piece of half-cooked roast meat, opened her mouth, and spat out a ball of flames, roasting it until it was cooked before putting it in her mouth. "But I prefer cooked food."
Nangong Sanba was stunned.
Gun was wandering around a huge roasted whole elephant not far away. This huge piece of food made the cat girl feel that she couldn't start, she meowed for a while and found that no one came to help her, so she slammed her head into the meat mountain—this stupid cat decided to crash a hole and then eat from the inside out.
Galazur wasn't very interested in these foods. She saw that Hao Ren didn't seem to like these greasy barbecued meats either, so she beckoned him to follow her to a quieter place. Facing the setting sun, the Dragon Queen casually opened her mouth, "I saw in the Data Network that you are now fully responsible for the Dream Plane?"
"The Goddess arranged it for me," Hao Ren shrugged. "To be honest, I'm still confused. Every thing that has happened since I took office feels a bit like being pushed onto the duck shelf, but fortunately, all the tasks so far have been completed smoothly."
"No one has ever been fully responsible for matters related to the Dream Plane before," Galazur leaned against a huge stone pillar, her slightly curly hair glowing magnificently in the setting sun. "The work of the inspectors is miscellaneous and chaotic, and they are often busy dealing with emergencies, so the Goddess generally doesn't arrange for us to do some long-term, fixed tasks."
Hao Ren heard that Galazur seemed to have other intentions. "Are you saying there's a problem with my task?"
"A task is a task, and the Goddess's arrangement must be reasonable," Galazur lightly spat out a small flame. "It's just that the matters of the Dream Plane… are very special, you should be more careful, and don't just focus on your task itself, because many times enlightenment comes from places you can't expect at all."
As she spoke, she suddenly smiled, "Employees who only bury their heads in work can't produce results."
"Do you know about the Dream Plane?" Hao Ren asked curiously.
"Every inspector knows about the Dream Plane, but other than you, no one should have really understood that world. That's a very unstable place, and there's constant interference with the real world. We don't touch it unless it's necessary. But I did go in once hundreds of years ago, to track an abnormal space phenomenon… I used very complicated conversion equipment, and I only stayed there for a few hours. That universe will reject foreign objects, like other normal alien worlds."
Hao Ren suddenly felt that something was wrong. "Reject foreign objects? Why didn't I feel it?"
He mentioned his several experiences entering the Dream Plane, and he mentioned the stable channel he found. He never felt any rejection between the Dream Plane and the surface world—on the contrary, the connection between the two worlds was so close that the situation of mutual penetration was very common.
After listening to Hao Ren's description, Galazur blinked. "It seems that a lot of changes have taken place in the Dream Plane recently… It feels like some kind of fusion process is accelerating."
"Raven said that this is caused by the gradual collapse of the Wall of Reality," Hao Ren stroked his chin. "But it can't be determined yet what's wrong with the Wall of Reality."
Galazur frowned and pondered for a moment, and suddenly mentioned something. "The Dream Plane and the surface world have been at peace for more than 10,000 years, and the accelerated collapse of the Wall of Reality has only happened in recent years… This doesn't seem like a natural phenomenon."
"Man-made?" Hao Ren raised his eyebrows. "I've also suspected it, but several leads that I've tracked down are unlikely. It seems that no mortal race—including the First Born—has the ability to affect the operation of the entire Wall of Reality. Unless…"
Hao Ren was only halfway through his words when the voice of the Data Terminal suddenly sounded in his mind: "Boss, there's news from the spaceship laboratory!"
(Asking for monthly tickets! I forgot to ask for tickets last month, give me some tickets this month to calm me down, okay =.=)
