Chapter 192 Can We Solve Problems Normally?
A massive monster made entirely of mountain rock lumbered towards Lily, the earth trembling beneath its heavy footsteps with a thunderous roar like an earthquake. The werewolf girl waited with a calm expression for the clumsy behemoth. The moment the giant stone arm came crashing down, Lily agilely leaped aside, then charged directly up the rock giant's arm and onto its body. She was like a nimble squirrel, leaping and darting across the rock giant, her speed reaching its peak, almost a blur of white light surrounding the monster's upper body. Constant, ear-piercing scraping sounds came from the stone giant, and shards of broken rock fell like snowflakes. Yet, this thick-skinned monster refused to die. It angrily twisted its upper body, trying to shake Lily off, and the werewolf girl clung precariously to the enormous creature at every moment!
"Chop chop chop chop chop..." Lily darted around the stone giant, waving her two ice-fire claw blades and scratching at the enemy with all her might while yelling. Then, she cried out in frustration, "I can't chop it!"
The stones on the stone giant's body were not ordinary mountain rocks, as they discovered after fighting it. The rocks were incredibly hard and even had the ability to regenerate. Vivian had previously blasted cracks in the rock giant with lightning strikes, but those cracks had already disappeared.
By this time, the rock giant had realized that it was difficult to shake off the "little bug." It seemed to be enraged, and it appeared to be capable of thought. While Lily used one claw blade to secure herself to its head and desperately hacked with the other, the monster suddenly turned and slammed its back against the nearest cliff!
"Behind you!" Hao Ren, who had been helping Vivian deal with another stone monster, cried out in alarm and rushed forward. He knew his strength would have limited effect on the stone giant, so he simply squatted down with his shield up in the path the stone giant was retreating to. The latter probably thought it could easily crush the tiny human, so it didn't even bother to dodge. As a result, it stepped on the indestructible rigid shield, instantly staggering and almost falling. Lily seized the opportunity to finally pull out the claw blade she had been using to secure herself, and jumped to the ground with a look of lingering fear. "Thanks, Landlord..."
Hao Ren was half-embedded in the ground, straining his neck as he roared at the still unsteady stone giant, "I'll trip you to death!"
A tremendous explosion came from the other side. Izhaks was fighting the third stone monster alone. The cramped terrain was quite inconvenient for the Great Demon, and his human form also limited his fighting style. However, the latter didn't seem to care. He simply fought the stone giant blow for blow, using a straightforward and brutal fighting style: smashing every stone on its body.
With a loud bang, Izhaks kicked his enemy again, sending the five-meter-tall behemoth flying almost horizontally. Then, he strode forward, stepped on the stone giant's shoulders, and used both hands to grab the latter's head, snapping it off with a crack.
"It doesn't work." Izhaks crushed the huge stone in his hand and frowned as he watched the headless rock body stand up again as if nothing had happened. At the same time, the gravel on the ground flew into the air under the impetus of some strange force, forming a new head for the monster.
Tearing off its limbs, tearing off its head, smashing it in half at the waist, or even shattering it into more pieces... these seemingly fatal injuries had no effect on the stone giants. They didn't bleed, they didn't feel pain, and they constantly drew materials from the surrounding rocks and earth to regenerate themselves. Izhaks didn't know how to destroy these guys for a moment.
He was considering whether to fight in his true form, or throw the stone monster somewhere far away and then summon a meteor to see if he could smash it to death—as a demon thinks, he was serious when considering these measures.
Vivian and Becky joined forces to hold back another stone giant. Becky's dazzling magical swordsmanship was originally powerful, but now, like Lily's ice-fire claws, she couldn't use her strength effectively. Close combat attacks had limited effect on these stones, and half-baked magic had little effect. Only Vivian's severe frost and some curse magic could delay the stone giant's movements. Becky shouted to the group of wounded mercenaries, "How did you guys kill one before?"
The group of mercenaries rescued by Hao Ren and the others had not yet recovered. Some of them were helping to fight, while others were rescuing the seriously injured. Hearing Becky's shout, a middle-aged man who appeared to be the leader of the team stood up with a limp: "We don't know! One of the monsters suddenly shattered while we were fighting."
"This isn't going to work if we keep fighting like this," Vivian barely froze the stone giant in front of her with a mass of extreme cold ice and snow, but in just a few seconds, the ice began to crack inch by inch. "Can't you remember anything you did before?"
The mercenary captain seemed as anxious as Vivian, but he really couldn't remember how they had done it before, because that scene was too chaotic. But just when everyone was at a loss, Izhaks suddenly shouted happily from the side: "Oh, I know its weakness."
Hao Ren turned his head when he heard the sound, only to see Izhaks in a strange posture, locked in a stalemate with the stone giant. He first tore off the stone giant's limbs, and while the latter hadn't regenerated them, he used brute force to lift the opponent high above his head. The two-meter-tall giant effortlessly lifted the huge monster nearly three meters high. The latter had been torn into a "human stick," and no matter how hard it tried to move its body, it couldn't touch the ground again. Soon, an incredible scene appeared: the rocks on the stone giant's body slowly began to be covered with a layer of gray-black, its struggling became weaker and weaker, and a series of cracking sounds came from inside its body. Finally, it shattered into rubble all over the ground.
"Get them away from the earth!"
The mercenary captain finally remembered the situation when they killed the first stone giant: a veteran druid in the team used a poison ivy trap to drag the monster into the air.
However, that druid was now lying unconscious not far away, so no one thought of this at first.
Finally, they found a way to deal with the stone giants. Lily was the happiest. She roared and rushed towards the monster she was responsible for, then hugged the latter's leg and spun around twice, throwing the huge monster into the air in a terrifying manner.
The stone giant struggled wildly in the air. After being separated from the earth, its body disintegrated at an alarming rate, and finally fell into rubble on another hillside hundreds of meters away.
But soon it stood up again: Lily's throwing angle was wrong, and the stone giant didn't exhaust its magical power in the air. After touching the earth, it recovered in an instant.
Lily was dumbfounded when she saw this. Seeing the stone giant striding towards her, the werewolf girl felt her dignity as a warrior being severely challenged. She immediately stopped Izhaks from helping, then squatted on the ground before the stone giant ran over, quickly drawing and drawing with a small stone. Finally, she threw away the stone, rolled up her sleeves, and rushed towards the monster again, shouting "Hey ya!" and throwing her enemy out again!
This time, she used a carefully calculated angle. The stone giant's flight time in the air was significantly extended. It exhausted its magical power in the last second before landing, completely dying in front of everyone.
Lily's tail was almost wagging, and she waved her small fist at the pile of wreckage. "My physics teacher will rest in peace! You idiot!"
Knowledge is power, friends!
Finally, the third stone giant was also solved by Vivian: the latter transformed into a swarm of bats, wrapping the enemy up and sending it half a meter into the air. This exhausted the vampire girl so much that she sat on the ground without any decorum: "Too heavy, I knew I should have brought a set of pulleys when I went out..."
Hao Ren was amazed from beginning to end, and couldn't say a word at this time. Only one thought lingered in his mind: what kind of team have I organized? Why do these people never solve problems according to the general settings?
