Chapter 1312 The Warden Awakens

Chapter 1 A Princess Shoe

A dainty little foot in a princess shoe—Willy wouldn't have believed it, and probably none of the cultists or church knights present would have believed it either, could possibly wield such power. Yet the two-and-a-half-ton impact was undeniable. With a flash of red light, Willy, the formidable high-ranking Annihilation cultist, was stomped into the ground. His body was bent backward at an unnatural angle, and his lower half was involuntarily kneeling, the solid stone slabs cracking under his knees and sinking nearly half a meter!

Then, as the ripples in the air continued to spread, a golden-haired loli with a sweet and adorable face, wearing a princess dress and sporting a pair of small horns on her head, bounced out of the portal. Giggling, the little girl casually kicked Willy, who was struggling to get up, and then, with a wave of her hand, conjured a terrifying fel fire ball a meter in diameter. With a resounding boom, the fireball slammed into Willy's back.

Foul blood splattered, tendons snapped, and bones shattered. By the goddess—it was the effect of using a fireball as a war hammer!

At this point, the other surviving cultists finally reacted, scrambling to respond. Some immediately began to cast spells to attack the strange little girl, while others rushed to Willy's side to protect their master. As guardian puppets who had completely dedicated their bodies and souls, they were utterly loyal, having long forgotten their own lives and deaths.

However, more ripples rippled in the air, causing all the cultists to freeze in their tracks.

Then, one after another, figures leaped out of the spatial fluctuations, and shouts quickly echoed in every corner:

"Beat them! Beat them to death! These guys are all cultists, no guilt in mincing them into dumpling filling!"

"There's one lying here, still breathing! Anyone got a brick I can borrow, meow?"

"Go find your own brick! This unit is a technological product, you know!"

"Lao Wang, Lao Wang, there's a guy running your way, kick his ass!"

"San Ba, stop causing trouble, go help your sister watch Dou Dou, she's bouncing around everywhere, don't let her get stepped on…"

"Hey, leave some for me, it's rare to encounter so many low-health enemies, I'm at least playing a DPS…"

The scene was quite spectacular—even a junior high gang fight couldn't match this array.

A group of cultists who hadn't even figured out what was going on were brutally beaten by a horde of fierce demons and monsters that jumped out of the spatial rifts. The latter were completely unreasonable and didn't care about techniques. Basically, anyone wearing a black robe was met with knives, guns, clubs, fists, whips, legs, bricks, and fel fireballs, and these fierce demons didn't even have a sense of chivalry. Even cultists lying on the ground taking their last breaths were dragged up, given a healing spell, and then beaten again—the scene was so miserable that it was impossible to tell who were the cultists and who were the righteous heroes.

That group of guys who had been cooped up in the outside world for a month had come here to vent their anger!

Hao Ren's eyelids twitched as he watched even Muuru jump out of the spatial rift and grind a cultist into the ground with two fingers. He finally remembered that this giant gardener, who had recently become more and more honest and loyal, was actually a powerful demigod warrior.

Then he couldn't help shouting, "Muuru?! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be maintaining the antenna?!"

"Sif is taking my shift," the giant Muuru said, while grabbing another cultist from the side and grinding him into the ground. "I know that someone here is using evil power to desecrate the legacy left by the Mother, and I can't suppress the anger in my heart."

By the time Hao Ren wanted to say something else, it was all over.

All the cultists were beaten to the ground, the best off only having half a breath left. Not to mention that Hao Ren's gang of fierce gods and demons were all individually capable fighters and had eaten piles of heavenly treasures to become the nemesis of chaotic forces. The cultists themselves had already experienced fierce battles with the dire wolves, Kalasuth, church warriors, and beastmen barbarians. They were exhausted and couldn't possibly have any strength to resist.

Nangong Wuyue, holding the little mermaid in her arms, poked her head out from the back. She cautiously looked at the cultists lying all over the ground, stretched out her snake tail, and poked one of the unlucky bastards with the tip of her tail twice, revealing a satisfied look, taking it as her own achievement.

That was all the ambition someone as timid as her had.

Hao Ren blinked, not knowing how to greet this group of people who were always eager to join in the fun, so he could only give a dry laugh, "Hehe… everyone's here? Oh, Vivian, you're here too?"

Vivian retracted the bat wings she had spread during the battle, and the bloody chill surrounding her gradually dissipated. With a gentle smile on her face, she came to Hao Ren and said, "How is it? Did we arrive in time?"

Hao Ren didn't say anything, but instead gave her a hug.

Vivian was surprised for a moment, but then smiled and accepted it calmly.

After this natural hug ended, Hao Ren smiled and took a half step back, spreading his hands, "Actually, the fight was already over when you guys arrived—didn't you see all the low-health enemies?"

"We couldn't help it, we were delayed a few more minutes while debugging the equipment. You know, it's not easy to transmit matter from the 'outside' to here," Vivian said with a smile. "And they were fighting over who got to go first, and in the end, Elizabeth used the fact that she was a minor to get in first."

Hao Ren raised his eyebrows when he heard that, "Isn't Dou Dou a minor too?"

"That little one likes to court death too much, we didn't dare let her act alone."

Hao Ren was stunned for a moment, then took a breath, "To be honest, I really didn't expect you guys to come over like this… I was shocked when I saw Elizabeth jump out just now. You didn't even say hello when you came."

"We wanted to give you a surprise," the data terminal interjected. "Actually, the transmission equipment was ready a long time ago, but due to parameter problems, it couldn't transmit too much mass at once. It's also thanks to the little dot's random transmissions before that this unit collected the relevant parameters and debugged the equipment so quickly."

Hao Ren said "oh," then perked up, and suddenly remembered that the battle had been so intense that no one had noticed Little Chick!

"Did anyone see Little Chick?" he immediately turned around and asked loudly—that little dot's combat power was just as its name suggested, only slightly stronger than a mouse. In the chaotic battle just now, with artifacts flying around and magic exploding everywhere, that little dot would probably be done for if it was even grazed!

As soon as he finished speaking, he heard the familiar "hiss-ha" sound coming from not far away. Following the sound, he saw Dou Dou in Nangong Wuyue's arms communicating with Little Chick, the latter holding up his hands and saying, "biubiubiu!"

Dou Dou flicked her tail, and Little Chick was sent flying with a "pa" sound.

That was how they communicated.

"Damn it… you scared me…" Hao Ren wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, instructed Nangong Sanba to find something to put Little Chick in first, and then frowned at the messy battlefield and the huge pyramid in the center of the battlefield, faintly glowing.

That pyramid was what Amon called the "Ark of the Covenant."

According to the information, the key to opening Lokmarton Prison was on this "Ark of the Covenant," and the key to opening it was an ancient artifact called the "Radiant Disc," which was definitely not a plastic disc from the Plastic Five Factory.

If he was right, it should be able to be embedded on the pyramid wall.

Hao Ren came to the pyramid and looked up at the circular groove with a diameter of ten meters.

"It looks even more familiar up close," Hao Ren said, looking up. "Judging from the size and the central circular hole, it's very similar to the golden disc we found."

The data terminal also floated over and projected a blue light to scan the details of the circular groove, while saying its own thoughts, "But each golden disc stores different information and subtle structures. They shouldn't be interchangeable when acting as keys. It seems that there should be a new golden disc in the Kroh world. Partner, do you have any clues?"

"According to local legends, the 'Radiant Disc' that opens the door was once stored in a place called the Kasoan Temple. After a Chaos War a thousand years ago, Kasoan fell, and the artifact disappeared. But I woke up in the Kasoan Temple. I carefully checked the inside and outside of the temple, but didn't find any clues about the disc—you know, I'm a demigod, and I've already been in contact with three discs and various relics of the Goddess of Creation, so I would have a sense of similar divine power."

While Hao Ren was speaking, Muuru strode to the twenty-one jailer "statues."

The guardian giant looked at these giants made of stone and metal, almost the same height as him, with a slight look of surprise. Although the latter were inanimate objects, he felt a strange sense of familiarity.

"These…" he muttered to himself, "Could they also be creations of the Mother? They look like Guardians… but there's a more ancient aura about them."

"Lokmarton seems to be an existence older than the Firstborn and the Guardians, and so are the jailers who guard it," Hao Ren heard Muuru's muttering and couldn't help but recall some of the truths he had touched in the illusion before, "So I suspect… these are your prototypes."

"Prototypes?" Muuru repeated in a low voice, and just as he finished speaking, a rustling sound suddenly came from a nearby giant statue!

Then, the twenty-one jailer giant statues suddenly made rustling sounds at the same time. Years of accumulated dust, gravel, and withered plants fell from the statues with the sound, like rain. In front of Hao Ren, the largest statue suddenly began to move. It slowly moved its arm, clenched its fist as if waking up from a long sleep, and then its eyes suddenly opened.

A pair of huge eyeballs carved from gems shone with bright blue-white light.

"Warriors, you have thwarted the first wave of evil, but the battle is not over."
