Chapter 26: Dinnertime Prank
Anindya took a bite of her burger and immediately nodded in satisfaction.
"Umm~! This is so delicious!, The bun is soft, the meat is juicy, and the sauce... wow, it’s amazing!" Anindya said, her eyes sparkling.
Julian smiled, took a tissue, and gently wiped the corner of Anindya’s mouth where the sauce had stained it.
"You’re like a child, eating a mess" Julian said with a smile.
As Julian wiped Anindya’s lips, Anindya’s speech was a little slurred, as she was still chewing.
"Bwecause... I’m rweally... hwungrwy" Anindya said unclearly because she was still chewing her food.
"Haa... Swallow your food first, don’t talk while eating" Julian said while holding a tissue to wipe Anindya’s mouth.
"Gluk!" Anindya swallowed her food.
"I’m so hungry~" Anindya said in a spoiled tone.
"I know, but don’t talk while eating, you’ll choke" Julian said, wiping Anindya’s lips again.
Anindya blushed, her cheeks flushed like a child who had just been gently scolded.
"Yo-you’re the one who makes me look like a child!" Anindya muttered with a shy expression and tone.
Julian leaned closer to Anindya’s face because he couldn’t hear her.
"What you say?!" said Julian, barely able to hear Anindya’s mumbling.
Because Julian was too close, Anindya immediately took the sauce on her plate using her right index finger and immediately smeared it on Julian’s right cheek.
"It’s nothing, blee~!" Anindya said, sticking out her tongue, then chuckled.
While Anindya was talking, Julian took the chance to took of her sauce with his right index finger, then dab it onto her right cheek. Anindya was surprised when Julian retaliated, making her spontaneously exclaim
"Geezzz!!, Why did you reply?!" Anindya said, pouting.
Julian chuckled at Anindya’s cute pouting expression.
"Areee~, who started it first, huh~?" asked Julian with a smile and a mischievous tone.
Anindya crossed her arms, feigning annoyance.
"I was just kidding, you know... why did you reply to me, huh?!" said Anindya with a sullen expression.
Julian put his right index finger to his lips, then fiddled with his fingers while staring at Anindya, then answered in a dramatic tone.
"Oh, so... only you can and I can’t? Hmm... where does that rule come from, huh~?" Julian asked with an innocent expression and a dramatic tone.
Anindya finally couldn’t hold back her laughter at Julian’s innocent face and tone, her face brightening again. She grabbed a tissue and began cleaning Julian’s cheek, which had been stained with sauce.
"Here, let me clean it, so you don’t hold a grudge against me" Anindya said with a smile and a gentle tone.
Julian remained motionless and let Anindya clean his cheeks. His gaze was gentle, his eyes never leaving her face, which was so close.
"Thank you, Anindya" Julian said with a smile.
"You’re welcome" Anindya replied with gentle tone
After that, Julian took turns wiping Anindya’s face. Once they were both clean, they continued their dinner in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
While eating, a notification suddenly appeared from Lia. Anindya turned on her phone and opened her chat.
"Lady Anindya, Khitam’s body is missing!" Lia said in the chat.
"What!?" Anindya said with a shocked expression.
"What’s wrong, Anindya?" asked Julian, who was drinking Blue Ocean.
"Lia said Khitam’s
body is missing" Anindya replied."What?! Seriously?!" Julian asked with a shocked expression.
"Yes, i’m seriously" Anindya replied.
Anindya replied to Lia’s chat.
"Are there any clues at the crime scene?" Anindya asked in the chat.
Lia quickly replied to Anindya’s chat.
"We’re investigating, Lady Anindya" Lia replied in the chat.
"What did she say?" Julian asked Anindya.
"Lia is still investigating it" Anindya replied.
"How could it be missing?, Could there be a gang?" Julian asked with a puzzled expression.
"Hmm, maybe, but who?" Anindya replied thoughtfully.
Anindya thought hard, but to no avail, she couldn’t find out who took Khitam’s body.
"Ahh!! It’s useless, I don’t remember!" Anindya said with an annoyed expression and tone.
"Eh?! How could that be?" Julian asked with a confused expression.
"Forget it, just leave it to Lia, we better eat now!" Anindya said in an annoyed tone, spooning up a meatball.
"Haa... okay" Julian said with a sigh.
Finally, they both decided to return to their meal. When there was only a little left, Julian looked at his watch and then looked at Anindya, who was snacking on French fries.
"It’s already 22:00, let’s go home," Julian said, looking at Anindya.
"No way!... I still want to stay here!" Anindya said in an angry tone while eating French fries.
Julian smiled slightly, stroked Anindya’s head, and then said,
"Anindya, we still have school tomorrow, if we don’t go home now, tomorrow we might wake up late and be late for school" Julian said in a gentle tone.
Anindya’s head blushed slightly because of the stroking. Anindya snorted softly, but she knew Julian was right. Lazily, she finished the remaining fries in her hand and stood up from her chair.
"Haa... Alright..." Anindya said in a disappointed tone.
Julian stood up from his seat. Meanwhile, Anindya, who had already risen from her seat, glanced at the spot that had caught her attention.
"Nee~, before we go, let’s take a photo on the swing with love decorations in the background" Anindya said, holding Julian’s right hand.
"Okay!" Julian replied.
Julian smiled at her persistence. He knew full well that even if he tried to refuse, Anindya would continue to insist. Upon arriving at the swing, they first took a photo individually, then asked the waitress to take a photo of them sitting together on the swing.
The waitress graciously accepted Anindya’s phone. They sat side by side on the swing, with the neon heart-shaped lights glowing softly in the background, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere.
"Smile, okay?" the waitress said, getting ready to take the picture.
Julian and Anindya smiled sweetly and posed.
"Snap!" the waitress camera shutter sounded.
The waitress took five photos from various angles.
"I’ve done it, miss" said the waitress , handing her phone to Anindya.
"Thank you very much, miss!" said Anindya with a smile and accepted her phone.
The waitress politely left the two of them. Anindya chuckled at the photo after the waitress returned her phone.
"Look at this, you’re looking at me instead. You should be looking at the camera" Anindya said, showing the photo.
Julian instead looked at Anindya, not at the photo, then he said
"Well, what can I do, you’re so beautiful" Julian said, smiling with a little blush.
Hearing Julian’s sweet words, Anindya’s cheeks flushed slightly.
"Aaa~, thank you, you’re so sweet~" said Anindya while smiling sweetly at Julian.
"I’m serious, you’re the most beautiful girl in the world!" Julian said with a serious expression and tone.
Seeing Julian’s seriousness, Anindya immediately stopped smiling. She was shocked, and her face slowly turned red like a boiled crab.
"M-mooou!, stupid Julian!, d-don’t tease me like that!" Anindya said while turning her face away from Julian, to hide her embarrassment.
Julian laughed seeing Anindya’s behavior, the waitress who had helped them take photos also smiled because he saw their happiness.
